    What a marvelous way to end this brilliantly written series. Jenna has this way have writing, where her books flow so well I lose track of how long I’ve been reading. I’m drawn in from page one by her writing style, humor, unique characters and fantastic storyline overall.

    This is the story of Val and Adam and of course we can’t forget that lovable little fur ball Everett. Val was a character I absolutely adored from The Baby Donor because of her strong, eccentric, remarkably standout personality as Kitty’s supportive friend. Getting to know her better and see more of who she is did not disappoint! She’s unafraid to be who she is, no matter what, which in my eyes just makes her such a lovable, beautiful character and something I, and I’m sure many more, wish we could be more of.

    Adam is a “suit” he sees things as black or white no room for gray areas, or any other colors for that matter. As the story progresses and you learn more about him, you can see why he is the way he is, while also learning there is so much more to him than originally believed, one being a big heart. Valerie entering his life was something he never anticipated and she opens his eyes and his heart.

    Like all of the books in this series animals are play a particularly cute and important role. Everett is no exception with his sassy but sweet personality as well as his adorably tight knit relationship with Valerie.

    I’ve made it no secret how big of a fan I am of Jenna Gunn’s books and with each new book released my admiration for her writing talent grows. I bought the whole series because I will for sure be re-reading them. So excited to see what she has in store for us next! I absolutely recommend this book!

    Valerie and Adam are two very different characters who meet at an Art Gallery’s silent auction. She’s the artist and he’s buying art for his soon-to-be opening Caribbean high-end resort. He loves her painting and tells her when he sees something he likes he doesn’t let anything stand in his way from obtaining it. He’s looking at her as he says it and the inference is clear he ‘sees her’. Shortly thereafter they are having steamy sex in his hotel room.

    The next morning Adam hires Valerie to paint several pieces at his resort. Their romance heads south to Casa Azul, Adam’s high-end resort. As the days pass it’s unclear to both of them whether what they have is just a fun fling or the real thing...it changes as they react to each other and their reactions.

    I enjoyed the journey which sweet and tender, angst drama and misunderstandings, romantic and steamy. The influence each has on the other and how they grow is well balanced. This is a fun read and has a feel good vibe.

    Everett is the scene stealing ferret you will just love! He adds a whimsical and fun element, and plenty of humor.

    This was my first book by the author, but the blurb in the book talking about another of her books made it on my TBR list.

    I really enjoyed reading this book, it definitely had its moments... sweet, hilarious, hot and sexy, angsty... so there was never a dull moment reading!
    Adam Rhodes is exacting in what he wants and expects from his staff as he's aiming to get his parents' approval and to get their blessing to take over the family business Rhodes Resorts. He meets Valerie Culpepper, an artist who's a free spirited happy go lucky person by nature. Basically his opposite in the way she sees the world and the way she interacts with others around her. Oppsites attract and they give in to that attraction but hit a lot of bumps as they navigate through each other's different personality; throw in Adam's very disapproving parents and it's chaos and misunderstanding all around!
    But I loved how Valerie was strong and she was her own person amd she didn't bend or change to please anyone. I also loved that Adam was firm that he would only marry for love, despite his parents wanting him to marry for business M&A, so despite wanting his parents' approval he never compromised on that. So it was just perfect that Adam and Valerie found their HEA without compromising on their individuality! Overall a great book with engaging characters and catchy and hilarious dialogue.

    This is the story of Valerie and Adam. Valerie is an artist and a free spirit and laid back with a ferret named Everett. Then we have Adam who comes from wealth and is more uptight. Adam purchases a painting at an auction and they end up sleeping together and he offers her a job and whisks her away to the Caribbean. This is a great story with lots of action and emotion. I found it witty and warm and they truly are opposites. I found that Valerie and Adam are well written characters.

    Where to start? I enjoyed the story. It was good, but not great. It would have been better if there had been an better editor or beta reader (I'm assuming there wasn't due to numerous errors). A side character's dice was an insurance salesman one minute, then a police officer the next. Lots of missing words or just wrong word like they instead of the. I normally overlook and don't add to !y review. But it really does need addressed. I did not dock stars though. Not for that. Authors are creative people and I only base stars on their work, not what their editor should have caught. That being said, here we go...
    This story is about Adam, a resort owner, commissioning art for his new resort. He meets Valerie, a self proclaimed hippie and starving artist. She is sweet and open, he is stuffy and ridged. They both feel instant chemistry, according to the author. Lots of tell and not show. The only thing shown, was how immature the main characters are and how quick their tempers and assumptions get them in trouble. My favorite character was Noah. The story was told in dual POV. Plenty of steam between characters.
