Gordon is mature and experienced and I have a thing for silver foxes.
But I can’t let him know how I feel. Or show him in any way.

Problem is I’m falling in love.

How could I not when Gordon looks at me like I’m his biggest fantasy?
Or his worst nightmare. But which one is it? And does he feel the same way?

Beau Pair by Rhys Everly
Book #1 of A Proper Education series. Contemporary M-M romance. Age gap. Erotic romance.
Beau Pair is hired to be a nanny by Gordon as a live-in, part time position. Gordon shares custody with his bff, Dolly, both of whom take turns weekly with the child. Knowing he won’t be busy everyday, Beau also enrolls in the local college, which surprise, one of his professors is his boss, Gordon. Beau lusts after Gordon, but Gordon doesn’t want to take advantage of his employee, much less one of his students. With prodding from Dolly, the two are soon in a relationship that could blow up their futures or could end in the perfect family.

Lots of graphic and steamy sex. A cute baby. A bff that wants good things for Gordon and is proudly flamboyant and interfering. An age gap that both can live with. A romance that is filled with longing, loving and home.

Look, this was fine but there wasn't anything exciting about it. We've all read it before. However, not only is this a teacher/student romance, it's also a boss/employee student with Beau being a manny living with Gordon and his daughter. And that's the whole conflict of the book. Endless will they/ won't they scenes. Over and over. On repeat. But it was cute. And very steamy. I liked that.

Beau Pair suffers from a case of too smutty it loses any meaning or effect. It's a no angst boss/nanny, professor/student romance with a heaping of dirty talk and dirty thoughts. The characters and plot felt like a caricature.

It's still an enjoyable read, just not a memorable one.

The beginning was a bit bumpy, meaning the writing style was more of the erratic kind. Later it got better, or maybe I got so used to it that it didn't bother me anymore. The plot was nice, I liked that there was rather little drama despite the "taboo" student/professor theme.
The romance between Beau and Gordon was sweet and steamy. Lovely how they get attached to each other and support one another. It's a bit too much of an ideal world, but if you like it, it's a beautiful book. Entertaining, but nothing special, at least not for me.
What makes it delightfully exciting are the little role plays they both add to their sexy times. They play with their age difference and the student/professor, boss/employee, daddy/boy themes wonderfully. It makes the whole thing spicy.

Insta-lust galore (and probably insta-love in the future).
Which is weird considering this is a book with a child in between the two main characters.

Also who in their right mind shows up to their job as a nanny with a crop top so cropped up that it shows part of their pubic hair and tight skinny jeans? I would fire their ass so fast. Whoever wrote this book has never worked with children, had children under their care or did research about it at all.

This is probably going to be just porn-without-plot considering I gave up at 10% and the MC’s wanted to jump their bones already and were having random boners and whatnot.

The style of writing isn't really doing it for me and the two POVs sound identical... I would think that a 21 year old should sound different than a 47 year old.

Teacher/student with boss/employee OMG give it to me! And a bit of daddy kink - just exactly what I need and love!

I enjoyed the book and loved it from the start to the ending. Beau and Gordon were two lovely characters and I loved how versatile and hot they were together.

The romance was really cute, the erotica sizzling HOT, the teacher/student scenes exciting, and when they finally got together just phew! Super hotness!

Loved the au-pair part of the story, and loved that Beau was a designer, it was really sweet. But my ultimate favorite thing was that Gordon was such a hottie silver fox and his desires were so HOT, I loved when he was daydreaming about Beau and was imagining their time together.

Zoe and Dolly was an added bonus and I loved them too, especially when Zoe began to told their sexy times to Beau! Hilarious. Two love story in one book. Tow unique pair, one big family. I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait the next one! Tru and their 2 teachers! WOW! What can be hotter then one teacher is TWO!

No angst, sweet, tropey and soooo hot!!!
You have age gap, boss / employee, teacher / student, an amazing design student and a bit of a grump of a business college professor. And, to top it all off - brillliant and witty writing style that will keep a smile on your face!
It was pure pleasure to read!!!!

This was a sweet story. Gordon and Beau try for a long time to ignore their attraction to each other until they can’t anymore. I enjoyed watching these two play off each other and the family they continue to build together. I do have to say that everything was just a little too perfect and they never really had any problems and then Beau quickly became a success when they started his business.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review

Aww this was just so cute with a big blended family. Beau and Gordon were super sweet and it was amusing to watch them both deny their chemistry in the first half.
The heat was off the charts. Lots and lots of steamy scenes with a dash of humour and sweetness.
Low on angst and drama and exactly what I needed after some darker books

Full of tropey goodness, this is a great age-gap, teacher/student, low-angst, forbidden romance. It's a really cute and sweet story, with two guys who just fit together perfectly, and after trying to fight it, just fall into each other so naturally. There is so much love in this book, and it was the perfect feel-good pick me up. I look forward to reading the next in the series.

It’s a quick, low-angst read. I liked the main characters and side characters quite a bit. There’s a bonus epilogue available and I didn’t love it. But the main story was pretty cute.

I almost don't want to write this review, but i need to for a challenge... this book was just not my cup of tea. i am not a fan of the changing 1st person view points. also, there was much gratuitious sex. don't get me wrong, i like my books to have a little (or a lot) of spice to them, but this was sex for sex sake and that doesn't appeal to me. at least not right now. Honesty if it wasn't for my bookclub i wouldn't have read this one. The writting was good and i loved the full cast, especially little Elsie.

Hot M/M romance!

The only reason this book only three stars from me was the massive amount of graphic sex. I would say about 40% of the book was dedicated to hot, lusty sex between Professor Daddy and his Baby Beau. So if you like a lot of sex in your romance, you will love this book.

As for the writing itself. It is well-written, flows well, and the plot is interesting. This is what kept me reading. I liked the characters and wanted them to get their happy ever after. I have read other books by this author that I enjoyed more. You guessed it: less sex.

Overall I recommend this author, and if you like your books, scorching and graphic, this is the book for you.

Student-teacher, nanny-employer. Gordon and Beau have several relationships that they need to navigate. I liked the several friendships and relationships in this book. I liked several characters in this book, but I think my favorite is Beau's mother.

I listened to the audiobook. I enjoyed the narrator.

"Beau Pair" is the first volume in the interesting and promising series "A Proper Education" by Rhys Everly. What immediately catches our eye when we read this novel is its light, pleasant vibe that makes us feel addicted to this book as it's full of positive energy. Believe me, this is a perfect read for anyone who wants to forget about the world around them, problems and difficult moments, even for a second. I admit that I've read many stories that made me feel optimistic about life and filled me with energy, but for the first time I've read a story that really allowed me to completely forget about the whole world, about every worry. "Beau Pair" is a novel which is perfect for you no matter what is happening in your life, because thanks to its lightness it surrounds us with a soft, warm bubble of soothing, reassuring comfort. And what's more, the story presented by the author is really interesting.

But that's not all, because "Beau Pair" is not only an interesting, light and positive book, as it's also a sweet and really funny story. The author presented many totally normal situations that are part of everyone's daily life and showed us their most embarrassing, amusing consequences. What's important, Rhys Everly does not present situations that are forcefully colored just to entertain the readers. He showed us some possible scenarios, each of which, and I am sure of that, reflects the events that happened in more than one person's life. The author saw the potential of our dreams, fantasies, everyday life situations and incorporated them into his novel in a really good way.

I also want to add that reading "Beau Pair" I was very impressed by the spontaneity of the characters, events, situations and their randomness. What I mean in this case is the fact that in this novel, everyone is so full of life that, even though they plan their every step and consider it in a thousand ways, they end up surrendering to their emotions, feelings, desires and often surprise themselves. I would say that the case of widely understood action is quite similar. Well, someone decides to do something, and this spontaneous decision coincides with other people's decisions, which ultimately leads to some phenomenal, funny situations. I really liked it! After all, life is full of strange and often happy coincidences.

A great advantage of "Beau Pair" is also the role and presence of side characters in this novel. There are few of them, but they are really fantastic, charismatic and it is impossible not to love them. However, what is most important to me in this case, Gordon and Beau's friends appear in the novel very often, they have their own story, and that's beautiful. I would like to add that we can also say a lot of positive things about the main characters, who really conquer our hearts from the very first page.

In conclusion, "Beau Pair" is a positive, interesting novel that is really worth reading. Reading it, I really felt relaxed and couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it to you.

Podsumowując, „Beau Pair” to pozytywna, interesująca powieść, którą naprawdę warto przeczytać. Ja naprawdę się przy niej zrelaksowałam i nie mogłam się od niej oderwać. Gorąco Wam ją polecam.

8 fucking years to propose because "things keep getting in the way"?? Are you kidding me?? Just like the wedding shouldn't be the focus over the marriage, the "perfect" proposal shouldn't be the focus of getting engaged. 8. Fucking. Years. Seriously. That wasn't even funny. I quit reading before it was over. That was just ridiculous.

WOW! Steaming hot does not even begin to describe this book!
Really different from Rhys Everly’s usual IMO, but so, so worth it! This book has a maybe mismatched, but functional, very funny and loving enlarged family and enough heat to set my Kindle on fire!
Beau and Gordon are just perfect for each other, despite the significant age difference and all the other possible obstacles between them; they just click, and it’s perfect!

Hold up

Ok. Am I supposed to believe a 47-year-old professor falls in love with his 21-year-old au pair in 4 weeks? Never having even gone on a date? Just a few weeks of sex? And the I-Love-Yous come out? Ah nope.

Insta love and pure sex-fest. Professor hires a manny, who ends up being one of his students as well. First part of the book is filled with sexual fantasies from both parties. When they finally hook up, the sex-fest becomes non stop.

Wow, Mr. Everly. You brought out the big guns with this one. This book is a walking advertisement for sex positivity, and I fully support this.

I love when a book jumps right into the storyline, without buildup. That’s my preference, but can overlook it if it’s done right. How fortunate for me that Everly just jumps right in with this book! It was insta-attraction from the get go, and you could FEEL it through the pages. Wow. (Be prepared for me to say wow a lot) It was fun watching them dance around it, try to fight it, and finally just saying ‘f*** it,’ and give in. There is an awkward moment in the laundry room that brought the UST to a head, though. Wow. Yeah...that happened.

I love Beau and Gordon’s interactions and relationship. It broke my heart a little when Gordon struggled with insecurities. I wanted to hug the man. I enjoyed how their dynamic wasn’t ‘typical’ all the time. It was uniquely theirs and made me question things I thought I knew in how relationships go. I enjoyed, and appreciate, how Everly defies stereotypes in this story. It’s a beautiful thing, and very, very steamy. This is his steamiest, yet! You, too, will be stuck saying ‘wow’ over and over again.

This story packs way more than heat. It’s sweet, endearing, and funny. The quick wit, woven throughout the book, made me grin almost more than the tender moments did. This book has fluffy elements, but the combination Everly uses, in his storytelling, keeps it from falling into the OTT fluff category. This book feels different than anything I’ve read, but I can’t quite put my finger on it, other than the points I made above.

I loved the characters that were chosen for this book. From the main characters to side characters, each one was absolutely perfect for this book. Rhys Everly is talented in many areas, but character development is definitely one of them. You can’t help but like them, root for them, and miss them when the story ends. Luckily, this is book one in a series. Since we met Tru in this book, hopefully we will cross paths with our beloved characters again. I can’t wait to find out!

***Although I received a copy of this book from the author, all thoughts and opinions are my own.***

Until about 25% I thought this book could be good. I mean, ok, the MCs where insta-lusting after each other from their first meeting and growing boners left and right over the most mundane stuff, like standing and wearing clothing. But in the beginning there was a hint of character to those characters.
Sadly, that got thrown out the window for horniness. Seriously, this book is entirely oversexed, as in, there's no room for any personality or character development because the MCs are too busy fucking everywhere and every way. They develop emotions very quickly, but immediately go back to fucking some more in celebration, so it's not like it added to the "plot".
Sadly, the sex scenes where not even very good, in my opinion. It felt very porny, overperformed and put on. The dirty talk was very, very cringy to me and a lot of it just felt dirty simply to be dirty.
I often thought the author was not even into most of the stuff he was putting in and was just writing it because he thought it would sell and that's just not the kind of sex scenes that will work for me.
I also felt the book tried very hard to throw in as much tropes as possible to offer something for everyone. There's employer/employee, professor/student, daddy/boy and a little girl conveniently just around when it's time to dress up and be cute.
