- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2021This is a m/m shifter/mage romance suspense (without mpreg). This is intended to be a Novella, but it’s too short for my taste!
“It was probably insane, what he attempted. Scratch that. It was definitely insane. Trying to find dragons when everyone insisted they’d been extinct since the Dragon War more than five hundred years ago fit the definition of crazy to a T.” This passage from the fist chapter explains where this adventure all starts for North and Warin. I liked this sweet story but it did not advance the over-reaching story of the series like the other two full books so beautifully! I am guessing this might have been shorten to get out quicker or maybe a newsletter installment type thing that authors do these days but I’m dying to read more about North’s transition into the mage-world!! Still worth the reading time but I’m quickly on to the next in the series!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2024I enjoyed the way Warin and North's story played out in this novella. It was sweet and I love the world building. A great read!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2023What a great fun quick read and very happy that the authors decided to combine wish and breath into one audiobook or this would be a very short listen.
North and Warin are beautiful and just simple to see the two falling for each other from their first interaction. Fun Christmas novella .
- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2021Decent character development but I found the storyline a bit disappointing since it uses the same technique of the MCs withholding information to generate tension which was used in books 1 and 2. There are other plot devices which can work so I’m disappointed that the same moves are used repeatedly even though the characters are supposedly different. This installment ends as expected, with a positive ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2024Love these two! Great novella on Warin and a new mage to the clan. First they need to get him to safety, then convince him he needs to stay and of course Warin needs to let North know he wants him to stay. North was running from a colorless, boring life. Fueled by stories his grandfather told him, he’s determined to prove that magic and dragons exist. Warin feels a tug and goes to investigate. Much to his surprise, he finds a mage in trouble with the Jaeggi. Great read.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2025Sure are a lot of male mages, this one is a simple concrete farmer from Georgia (USA).
Warin is a bit flowery in his speech, but that just gives him character
- Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2023Well done! Glad one finally put it all together quickly!!! Love and romance while knowing when it’s right! More please!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best in the series so far!
I need to confess I am totally biased because I loved North and in mi opinion is one of the most interesting characters in the series, probably even more than Cameron so reading his story and how he found his purpose and his fated was a delight. He and Warin made such a sweet and endearing couple with a lot of chemistry together, and all the dangerous adventures they endured just made them stronger. I love so much the direction the authors are taking on this captivating plot and every book added a piece on the puzzle. A very enjoyable reading and the best in the series so far!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cuteness overload
North was such a sweetie. And I loved the way Warin spoke, all old-timey romantic. Reading a Christmas romance in June was a fun experience too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seeking spell
North is a mage, maybe. Being gay and loving bright colours and make-up, he doesn't fit into his family's small grey box.Using a handed down dragon scale he finds himself in northern Europe, apparently close to dragons.
Warin has felt the pull of the seeking spells and is sent, with Gunter, to find the mage.
A lovely novella in the excellent series.

Ha sido un libro de lectura fácil. He tardado 2 días en terminarlo. La historia es tierna y los personajes, también.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love and dragons
I absolutely love this series, it's a great adventure full of laughter, a lot of 'awwwww' moments, a little bit of danger, and dragons! It's well written (as always with this author) and I fell in love with North in chapter one.
Ps...did I mention the dragons?
