Wolf Called: A Paranormal Shifter Romance (The Last Shifter Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 1,735 ratings

My world was a gray blur until I met them. My shifters. The men who rescued me from the lie I was living.

For a brief moment, even in the midst of chaos, I found happiness.

Then Strand found me again.

Now my new life hangs in the balance.

Doctor Shepherd isn’t done with his little experiment, and he wants me back, alive. When Strand hunters rip me away from everything good I fought so hard for, something inside me snaps.

But when my wolf is finally called, her untamed power upends everything in my life—including my relationships with the four shifter men who mean more to me than anything.

There’s a monster inside me. And she’ll either save me or destroy me.

Wolf Called is the second book in The Last Shifter series, a reverse harem story intended for ages 18+. This book contains strong language, violence, sexual situations, and a heroine who doesn't have to choose between her men.

5 stars for Wolf Called by Sadie Moss. This is book 2 in The Last Shifter Series. This book picks up right were book 1 lets off. Alexis, Rhys, Noah, West, and Jackson are continuing to build their relationship. In this book we meet Molly and Carl who become unlikely allies for them. Alexis is a badass wolf, that is extremely powerful. The mate bond is talked about in this book and we learn more about the guys past and how they came to be. We also learn more about the Strand Corporation. “But you know what? Love doesn’t care. It doesn’t care about who or how many. It just is. And when you love someone with your whole heart, and they love you back the same way… that makes you perfect for each other, no matter what anyone else thinks. Because you’d do anything for each other, and that makes you both better.”
I am loving this series , I can not get enough of it. I will warn you that this book also ends in a cliffhanger. But really who doesn’t love a good cliffhanger.

I love this storyline! Sadie has done a fantastic job of keeping the plot intriguing. This book starts off right were book 1 ended. Excitement starts from character one. Action and adventure are though out the book. There is some steamy love scenes as well.
    I highly recommend this book/series.

Heart stopping excitement thru out the book. Starts at the beginning when Alexis wakes up from where she had been darted by Nils in the first book. The woman that had been pretending that she was her mother, was in the vehicle too. When Alexis' memory clears, she becomes so angry that she finally calls her wolf out. Her wolf kills three people and the driver was shot when they tried to stop her. Alexis survives the wreck but the vehicle explodes and Alexis saw a roster with Rhys' sister's name on it.
The four men had found out where she was being taken and found her. They go back to Carl's to get medical help for Alexis. Several things happen that make Carl and his girlfriend, Molly, to help them find Rhys' sister.
The book does have some violent passages and is very descriptor thru out.

I think this is a fun and thrilling ride and there are great moments between the characters as they get to know each other and "fall in love." But I didn't feel like they were beyond the "like" stage of relationship development. Probably because a lot of the time they spent together in this book (i.e. when Alexis is healing) is totally glossed over. I felt like that would have been prime relationship development time but there was a big fast-forward and time leap...I get it, the plot must go on, but I think there was a missed opportunity there to give each of the characters some moments together to develop their respective relationships. When the "L" word did get tossed out, it felt very premature. While the story/conflict/plot is interesting, not sure I'm invested enough in the characters or relationships.

Alexis' wolf is finally called and it saves her life more than once. However, they seem to be at war with each other and can't find an equilibrium. With her wold awakened she claims her mates, who all claim her back but one seems to act as if the claim is a mistake. Throughout this book she tries to get closer with her wolf and her men all while helping them find Sariah.

This book was fast paced with lots of action and love. Alexis' story is riveting and I can't seem to stop reading this series!

Sadie, good job on this 2nd part. We are learning more about all the characters as the storyline moves forward. Can't wait to see what happens next including with the Lost Pack. Thanks again for a different Shifter story.

The continuation of Alexis' story is so good! I have to reiterate that this plot is like nothing I've read before! It's definitely a MUST read if you love shifter stories!

I read this immediately after finishing book 1, which I enjoyed so much I purchased the whole series rather than read them on KU. Sadie Moss is mow firmly in my shortlist of one-click authors.
This book picks up within hours of the end of book 1, which was a cliffhanger. The action and adventure continues, with the FMC learning more about herself and getting to know her men even better. There is some heat but I'd call this series slow burn, with lots of sexual tension and angst but also a really good plot. The ending has more of a resolution than book 1, and I'm looking forward to diving into book 3.

More action, more tension, more twists definitely worth the read. Like the first i enjoyed this book immensely. There were moments were i was hanging off of every word. Moments were i held my breath in anticipation. Absolutely enjoyed this read. Cant wait to dive into the next one to see what they go through next.

The story continues with no end in sight. She has helped rescue Rhys little sister and a group is shifters from another compound. Along the way she makes a friend in Molly & her partner. Recommend, want to read the next book to see if their foreboding is justified.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another enjoyable story
Reviewed in Australia on May 6, 2019
I really enjoyed this leg of the journey. I loved how she was able to save herself and change and I am very keen to see what happens next. Again, I wish the story was a tad longer and had a few more hot and heavy scenes in it, but I guess that will be for the next book? One thing really irritated me was that other than the fact that she was tall we never got a physical description of what her wolf looked like. There seems to be an emphasis on the colour and description of the four guys wolves but what colour is hers? Is she a black wolf? Red? Grey? Brown? Tiny detail but I kinda wanted it.
