London Growl (Las Vegas Paranormal Police Department: Unleashed Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 391 ratings

London Bridges Falling Down...and werewolves, too!
Power, struggle, and misery fill the Netherworld factions living in London. Their history is vast and their connections are made of steel. In particular, the werewolves have built up a stronghold that has stood the test of time.

Unfortunately, there is a new uberwolf who has taken over the werewolves of London and he's bent on proving that he is the most powerful creature in all of the supernatural community. In an effort to prove himself, he has kidnapped Ian Dex's ex-partner, Rachel Cress, using her as bait to lure Ian across the pond.

Life sure has its moments.

In order to track down Rachel, Ian must team up with her current London PPD partner. The guy seriously idolizes James Bond. Worse, the cop Ian brought along from Vegas is Harvey, a werebear who fancies himself as being like Sherlock Holmes.

Again...life.

But it turns out there's more to this than simply liberating Rachel. Ian
must win the battle against the biggest werewolf he's ever seen. If he fails, the meager expanse between life and death may just open up and swallow them all.

Ian Dex

Ian Dex
Fighting for Vegas

With Ian, it's all about protecting his crew and the city he loves. If that means he has to get busy with a succubus in order to keep everyone safe, he's willing to take one for the team...as long as there's a safe word. A job is a job, after all.

Ian Dex makes sure what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas

It's up to him to keep the Vegas Strip safe from nefarious supernatural activity

Ian Dex is a unique supernatural being. His DNA has elements of them all, so he's the perfect choice to be chief of the Las Vegas Paranormal Police Department.

As a group of ubernaturals descend on the city, Ian and his crew have to put everything on the line to control the ensuing chaos. Too bad things are even crazier on the squad than outside.

Bottom line: There's no room for prudes on this team. Language is blunt, snark is fierce, and innuendo seems to be an official requirement.

Everyone has had a trip with their annoying, but loyal, friend before, but I bet yours didn’t involve quite as much burning fur.

Getting more character depth with each book. These actually feel like smaller parts of one larger book. At least the flow is consistent.

London Growl is the fourth novel in the Ian Dex, Las Vegas Paranormal Police Department series, and is the best one yet. Ian’s former partner Rachel has moved to London and been kidnapped, so naturally Ian has to attempt to rescue her. He takes along his current partner, Harvey, who is a werebear. Once in London, they meet Rachel’s current partner, a James Bond wannabe, tuxedo and all, and Harvey channels his inner Sherlock Holmes, by dressing like him. Ian and his attention-getting partners search for Rachel in a typical Logsdon and Young hilarious fashion. The Ian Dex series is a lot of fun, and well worth your time to read. I look forward to the next installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars London gets the Dex Treatment?!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 11, 2018
This fantastically funny urban fantasy series about Ian Dex and his team in the Las Vegas Paranormal Police Department started with The Merging, was even better in Grave Creatures, yet better again in Blood Bane Tower and has now gone across the Pond for this adventure in London (will he ever be allowed back?!). The humour is there from the start and the team are all the better for being fun, sarcastic and neither perfect nor pc. There is a great mixture of laugh out loud humour, action and storyline in this addictive series which kept me wanting to read more even though I knew I had to get up early for work in the morning?! I am enjoying seeing this great series developing and absolutely cannot wait to read more!

I have been hooked on reading this series since the first book (The Merging) came out. London Growl does not disappoint and did not get put down from start to finish! Fast paced, laugh-out-loud funny, a few twists and some great characters as Ian visits London with his typical aplomb. Well worth reading and can't wait for the next book!

Another amazing read in the Ian Dex series. The plot is well thought out, and gives more of an insight into the main character, this time round we get to see a more caring side to him and more hints into his abilities. I can't wait for the next book.
