Publisher's summary

In a world that’s burning, where it’s every man for himself, all they can do to survive is hold on to each other....

A slow burn MMM romance set in a dystopian world. The first book in an exciting trilogy!

The world has changed. Tan has survived three years in a reintegration camp he was sent to for being gay, but he's at the limit of what he can endure, even with the help of his best friend, Austin.

When a massive meteor shower creates chaos at the camp, Austin and Tan take the chance to escape. They’re joined by Mack, a newbie at camp who is an expert in survival but knows nothing about love...or anything else.

But when they discover human-like aliens have landed on Earth with war on their agenda, their escape becomes a hell of a lot more dangerous. They grow close, but without power and food and no safe place to stay, how will they survive? Where can they find freedom...and love?

While the world around them burns, all they have are each other.

Ignite is the first book in the suspenseful Ignite trilogy, a slow burn MMM romance set in an alternative world. The first book ends in a cliffhanger, but the series will end with a HEA.

Fantastic beginning

When I first read this book, I loved how it was like a movie in my head. The narration just added another dimension.
I enjoyed that relationship between the characters wasn’t rushed. Looking forward to where they go from here.

A good beginning of a dystopian series

This says it is a book one and it is very good, but I will admit I wanted a bit more information about why Austin, Mack and Tan were in this camp and what kind of camp it was. I would also liked to have know a bit more about the Civil war that is mentioned as well but having said that, the story is quite good.
I liked the narration and as usual Kenneth Obi gives each character a distinctive voice and brings lots of emotion to the story.
I don’t usually read dystopian or Sci-fi but I quite enjoyed this story and am waiting for the next!

An excellent book to listen to

This book has a very good plot and the narrator is pleasant to listen to. I can’t wait for the next book to be available and hear what happens next.

Very interesting

Even though I don’t really like sci-fi books and movies, I still decided to give this one a try since I’ve read all other books by Nora Phoenix and greatly enjoyed, if not absolutely loved them. I’ve got to admit that this is the first book in this genre that I more than liked, and want to find out what happens next. It’s well written, has interesting world building, and likable - with the exception of a few- characters. I especially like how the main characters’ relationship develops throughout the book. All three are so different from one another and jet fit so well together.
Kenneth Obi as usual did a fantastic job. All the characters have their own voice, making it easy to tell who is talking, and even the emotions are easy to pick up on in their voices.
This audiobook is practically like watching a movie and I can’t wait to start in on the continuation.

Wow!!

Nora Phoenix is a pretty new to me author.
I’ve read a few books in her Ballsy Boys series and really enjoyed.
Haven’t done the audio of those yet!
This series is one I’m really excited about!
I didn’t read the book but jumped right into the audio.
The narrator Kenneth Obi is new to me as well.
The beginning was a little shaky but as the story went on I began to really enjoy his voices for the characters, especially Mac.
I love the idea of an alien takeover as I’ve been watching recent episodes of X Files.
Everything about the setting of the story and the idea of the US divided is pretty cool too!
I can’t wait to dive into the next one.
I see the second book is out but I think I’ll wait for the audio as I enjoyed the narrator’s interpretation.

awesome|

I dragged my feet starting this one since I'm not a big fan of "end of the world" type books, but as usual, Nora knocks it out of the park with compelling characters. the narrator does a great job with all 3 protagonists voices, making it easy to follow transitions. Can't wait to start the next one!

Slow Start buy WOW

This new world Nora Pheonix has created is so believable. I really enjoyed how she portrayed the new landscape and how she great the relationship between the 3 MC's. I am really looking forward to book 2. Kenneth Obi did a wonderful job - as always.

Surprisingly engaging

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. I was thrown from the start but totally captivated. I like that each character has a unique perspective and voice. That they all bring something to the table. They’re all so naïve, and I’m thoroughly invested in where the story is going to go.

Awesome start

Ignite is book 1 in the Ignite series by Nora Phoenix and narrated by Kenneth Obi. This was my first dystopian book, so I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it. However, I should have known that the combination of Nora Phoenix and Kenneth Obi would sell me on a new genre. This book has all of the things I have come to love from Nora Phoenix: great dialogue + real chemistry between the characters + great plot, plus MMM (my personal favorite and Mack, Tan and Austin are all equally yummy). Kenneth Obi just makes it that much sweeter. His ability to give each character a distinct voice and his recall ability of each of them, elevates the story and makes it feel like a production. I can’t wait to start book 2.
