War is Hell. A war in Hell is a pain in the ass.
Mark Vedis and Bert were busy enough with the Shaped, the enemies of warlocks, demons, and anyone who isn't a jerk.

Now they've also got to fight a war to preserve the status quo in Hell.

The nobility has turned on the queen, and it's up to Mark and Bert to keep her royal hugeness on the throne...not to mention they've got to take a trip to another dimension to rescue one of Mark's closest friends.

It's like the bad guys just don't know how to wait in line or something.

And that's just the beginning.

Things go wrong, as usual, and Bert and Mark have to split up to save the day. Through their alternating perspectives, they tell the tale of the battle to save the land of the demons, as well as their own personal quests to settle a few grudges.

The dynamic duo may not agree on everything, but they share the same philosophy about fighting: When trouble appears, kick it in the balls when it's not looking.

Life is heating up in Hell, and no matter what Mark and Bert do, things will never be the same...

What to say about this book in this series? Wellll besides being intensely interesting, hold your attention, can't put the book down and needing an umbrella to keep from being hit with the blood, bits and pieces of Bert's and Mark's adversaries, I can't think of a thing. This book is longer than the others as Mark, Bert and their family and friends take on the demon's who are intent on killing Lucy, Bert's mom and the queen of the demon and ruling demonkind. There is blood of course, snark, dedicated love, opponents coming from every corner, betrayal, treachery, growing and expanding bodies, a ''wing man,'' a soul awakening and just about every kind of healing you can think of. Excellent book as this series just keeps getting better. I highly recommend it to any who likes a good battle and a little snark to start their day...or end it for that matter.

When demons are involved in escalation, throw the rule book out the window. And get out the mops.
The fan goes fully fecal as the demons go to war, a coup orchestrated by the allies of Kordt to overthrow the powers that be.Without any time to acclimate, Mark, Bert, and company do the only thing they can - embrace it. The resulting chaos sets up a wild ride that left me in stitches, unable to turn the pages fast enough. A riot surrounding a mosh pit on a roller coaster without a seatbelt. Truly a grand time.

What can I say about the new paranormal police department South East Asia? Brought to you by Noah Sturdevant and John P Logsdon, two of the most humorous and quick witted authors I have ever read. This book is full of humdinger of characters, which are an absolute riot. Mark Vedis and Bert are back again and as always the usual carnage around them starts happening. Like cocaine for the eyes, you won't want to put this book down until you have finished. So get it bought!!!

This story is told from the viewpoint of two different narrators which really allows for twice the snark and twice the action.
I really like how Bert has grown as a character. His part of this adventure is great! Of course, we find out more about Mark and Mira as well as the other characters. Gunter is just full of surprises. Some surprises. Some twists. And always action, jokes, puns and interesting card games.
Can’t wait for the next book!

A book that keeps on giving

Another fantastic read. With all the gritty humour you’ve come to expect from these books, this one does not let you down. Told from two perspectives Berts and Marks you get to see Bert finally start to grow up and take responsibility in more ways than one. While Marc has family issues when he meets the in-laws. If you’ve read the last books in this series you just have to pick up this one.

Intense non-stop action, as Mark & Bert attempt to close down the "Shaped." The Demon Queen is under attack. Her palace locked down under siege. With all the different factions wanting control, who will come out on top? Will Bert the Demon prince become King? Can Mark survive meeting his Naga bride's family? A must read book set in the PPD world.

Bert and Mark Vedis are at it again and this time they are in a war for Hell itself. This book is told from both of their points of view, which works out perfectly in this case. There are so many things that are happening that they must split up at times. This is full of action, snark, juvenile humor, battle strategy, and more. It's very fun and a must read for PPD fans!

Coming of age, growing up and change. All things that we all dread and embrace. This installment is fast paced, answering questions and providing more. Mark and Bert grow and “expand” in ways not thought possible. As always a great read.

O My Goodness!

OMG is not a phrase I use (other than this, only 3 times before in my life - all referencing this book).

Read it!

Wow......absolutely fantastic!! I didn't want to put the book down! Brilliant writing, superb plot & story lines and as for character development, well it was huge! All the main characters personalities & new / extra abilities were revealed & most of all they were all having FUN, which meant I as the reader, was also having as much fun reading & picturing what they were doing....action scenes great, magic great & the saucy scenes were hilarious!

I suspect there will be even more surprises to come in the next few books....I cannot wait!!

Well Mark and Bert really get into some stuff this time. I mean from beginning to end the action just rolls on! This book really keeps flowing. I definitely feel like it is one of the longer books too. There is lots of story here, so much it is almost like two story lines in one. You got a side plot with Mark and Mira and the main one with Bert and his family. I really loved it! I especially loved the direction the ending took, it totally went somewhere I didn’t expect but yet made perfect sense for the story line. This is by far my favorite Mark and Bert book to date!

I've been enjoying this series, of course, but this chapter is the best of the bunch. It's a bit different, with alternating points of view. That's not my favorite style but, in this case it works wonderfully. In fact, so much goes on, I'm not sure a single POV would have worked at all. Must-read for PPD fans!

Read these books

I read a lot, I mean a lot of books and there are not that many that I will review. But these guys, they are awesome! It’s better than reality TV or eavesdropping on my 13year old ( even if a lot of the humor seems to be on the same level as my 13 year old). Yay good books!!!

A Hell of a ride as the Demon War heats up and some truths come to light about more than just Demons.
An excellent ending to this war and an interesting new chapter to begin for later on.

Southeast Asia PPD if hilarious urban fantasy

Mark and Bert are back and getting into more shenanigans. A lot of amazing fights, risqué humor and interesting twists. Demons, a warlock/demon, a dragon and Naga. Fantastic characters. Great world building. Thank you Noah and John.

This is the best one yet! Mark, Bert & their friends are fighting a war on several fronts. That doesn't stop the humorous dialogue and shenanigans. Tons of fighting and monsters, along with twists and turns. Must read!

Warlock- Must Read!

Mark and Miras life is getting hectic, with the forthcoming birth of the babies and all. But with the old gang and maybe even new ones, maybe they can cope with battles, betrayals. Also, Mark and Bert have even more to adjust to. Enjoy!!!!!

Superb!

Things are moving at a fast pace with a demon war that brings that loveable demon Bert to the fore! His relationship with everybody is well written and side splitting! The PPD series is on of the best on the market, in these times well worth losing some hours over!

This was a "grab you and don't let you go" read. Non-stop action and laughs. This book was different than the others because of the duel perspectives, but I think it worked out great.

Bert, Mark and their friends are taking on demonkind to save Queen Lucy's throne. With twists and turns aplenty this is an exciting read. The best so far in my opinion.

Or do they? Lots of fun, action, adventure, twists and turns...oh right the usual stuff in a paranormal police department book.
