A senator would be better protected. She is being threatened and they let her alone at home and let her go outside to get coffee. Also her niece would have had protection. They checked the cars for bombs only once leaving them unprotected for hours and not rechecking them before the Senator, who wouldn't have been driving herself, drove them.

Ahhh! Amanda and Jesse really do lead each other on a merry dance! The crazy thing is they are already pretty much dating, they spend the weekends together, the go out to eat, to see a movie...dating without kissing! But how much better would it be with kissing!
I did guess very early in the book who the perpetrator was going to be...lots of twists and turns to get there though which did make you question who you thought it was.
