It may sound harsh but I wish I’d skipped this series like I originally intended. But after enjoying The Bloodmoon Wars (after an albeit bumpy start) I turned to this while waiting for the next book. I say this because I now know how it ends.
This series can be summed up in one word...okay. It’s nothing I’ll ever re-read or even really remember but it wasn’t all bad.
I mentioned in one of my earlier reviews that these 5 novellas would in my opinion have been better as just one book. There’s a lot of filler here and after a while I just started skimming them.
There’s mistakes and inconsistencies that made reading difficult at times. I don’t need a book to be perfect, small editing mistakes have never really bothered me. I read a lot of books by indie authors so maybe that’s why but this was just a little bit much.
“A god would not give up their power for no reason, not without payment of some sort. What price would I have to pay for the privilege of living?” - Ruby
In the previous instalment, the dark shadow made himself known to Ruby who was shocked to learn that not only was he her warlock father Malcolm, but that Lovette was her mother. With Malcolm’s help, Ruby saw a vision from the past detailing how her mother had appealed to the Goddess to take her life in her daughters stead after Ruby was delivered stillborn. It seems that the Goddess not only saved Ruby but gave her divinity. Malcolm realises that Lovette knew all along that vampires still existed and that they would try to reclaim the earth.
During a second vision Ruby finally meets her mother, and learns that Lovette was responsible for her memory loss all along.
“I didn’t only block your memories, but your powers too Ruby. If I hadn’t done that, you’re already difficult life would have been far worse. I made it so your powers would start to be awakened once you met Xavier and Axel. Then you would have people around you would be able to help you... Only someone like you can bridge the decades of separation between werewolves and humans. You’re the only one strong enough to do what’s needed in the end.” - Lovette
With the Vampire Queen’s formidable Generals closing in on them, Ruby must unite the packs and humans alike in order to defeat their common enemy. Because time is running out for Ruby and the Goddess has come to collect...
Luna Chosen is the final compelling instalment of the Luna Rising series. Told from multiple point of views that include; Luna, Xavier, Axel and Natalie, Olcan and General Carden, the book picks up immediately after the events of the first book with Ruby reeling from one devastating revelation after another. The use of alternating points of view once again enabled me to have a deeper insight into the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. I found Olcan and General perspectives to be particularly revealing.
Ruby, Xavier and Axel experience so much pain, loss and not least betrayal in this final instalment as Natalie’s secrets come back to haunt them. I’m not usually a fan of Reverse Harem but I’m happy overall with the way the author handled the ménage à trois storyline.
I did find the background between the Goddess and Queen Amythia somewhat confusing as little information was given regarding their animosity. The identity of the mysterious William who was mentioned briefly by General Carden in the Queen’s presence was also a mystery. I suspect we will learn more of their background in the prequel Bloodmoon Wars series that the author has recently penned.
The series overall was a good balance between romance, non stop action, paranormal and one woman’s journey of coming into her own. I was happy with the way the author tied up all the loose ends. I recommend this series to fans of YA paranormal shifter romance books with a strong kick ass heroine.
There was very little romance in this book for Fated mates, I mean omg they kissed several times. And, a book that promises 2 Alphas and one heroine failed miserably in that regard. Even in the end after all the drama, we get 2 yrs in the future with her giving birth. Must have been miracle conception cause one Alpha now travels and still no sex but the kids look like all three of them. If they had advertised the entire book series as a supernatural war with vamps, humans, Gods, and werewolves, I might have read it but it came across as a romance interlaced into the war. Also, it teases about other supernatural community but apparently they arent all that as they offer no help against the vampire Queen. Read on kindle unlimited so thankfully it was free. Would it have killed them to include one seduction scene between her and her mates, either alone or together.
This book wasn’t what I expected!! So many people died it made me sad. Axel died, Natalie died, Axel’s dad died, freaking Ruby died!! I mean yeah Ruby and Axel came back but I’m still bitter. I honestly thought a Ruby would use the dagger on the queen since she was a demigod and the goddess would take over her body and kill her. But obviously that didn’t happen. I’m glad this series had a good ending though!! It was overall good! I just didn’t like what happened in the last like 50 pages until the last few.

This is the final in the series and wow. Ruby is still trying to figure out her powers, how to take down the vampires, and survive through it all. So much loss, death, and destruction but sometimes it’s what’s needed to survive. This was an epic finish to Ruby’s tale and I loved every minute of it.
Honestly this book gave me anxiety! My heart broke four times!!! This is definitely not the regular wolf shifter I’m use to!! When Natalie died I felt heartbroken, than Axel died during the battle and my heart broke again!!! I wanted to put down the book so bad, I didn’t want to finish anymore.. In the beginning I didn’t like Axel at all but I fell in love with his character, so to read that he dies was too much for me, I felt sick!! When all that happened, I’m thinking that’s it nothing else bad can happen, boy was a wrong!!! I lost it when Ruby died!!!!!! I cried, I couldn’t hold it in, especially when Xavier started crying. How heartbreaking!! But in the end I’m glad I read through the end because it had a beautiful ending!! I’m so sad the story is over but omg what a story!! This was absolutely one of the best shifter stories I’ve ever read!! Sara Snow you’ve effectively won me over! I couldn’t put reading theses books! Thank you!!
This series just unraveled. The blurb for this series made Ruby having two mates seem so epic and the focal point of the story. When in reality I forgot Xavier and Axel were even her mates.
The ending was tied up so quickly and without any explanation it just came off as lazy.
Add that to the fact that I was unaware this was a young adult story, I was not a fan.
I might read something else from this author.. but I doubt it.
The final confrontation with the vampires was coming. Natalie is killed. Ruby is taken by one of the Generals to the vampire queen. Axel dies and Ruby gives the goddess control. The goddess kills the vampire queen ,and Ruby dies, in the process. Axel and Ruby return 6 months later, walking out of the forest as wolves. Axel is appointed to the council, and Ruby has twins. Awesome series !!!
Okay so this book was obviously the most action packed of their series as obviously it was coming to an end. This one is slightly longer than the previous 4 books (only by 100 or so pages).
Personally I feel that the interaction between Ruby in her mind with the Goddess once she has entered her body was very confusing. It was not written well. This would have been so much better if it had been a one off chapter Written from the POV of the Goddess. I feel a lot was left out like when the Queen talks about Ruby refusing an offer but then doesn’t tell the Goddess about it. I feel this could have been a pivotal point to maybe explain why the Goddess chose to send her and Axel back. I know it’s 6 months on when they return but it would have been nice to see some more of Xavier and his feelings in those 6 months. Just saying he has learned to control his anger etc didn’t feel enough. A chapter or 2 from his, Malcolm’s and others perspectives would have been nice.
WE DON’T EVEN KNOW WHY OR HOW THEY WERE SENT BACK AND THIS IS SO DISAPPOINTING (yes that needed to be in capitals because it’s so damn annoying that it feels like a massive hole the author either just couldn’t be bothered to tell that part of the story, or she didn’t know why herself and just skipped this whole damn part!)
There was a massive time 2 years later when the babies were born and I feel we needed SO MUCH MORE filler like Axel on the council etc (unless this will be another book in the future). The books focus on this ‘new world’ but we only hear of it in one chapter through Xavier. Possibly will read the prequel as it looks okay but I have other books I will definitely read before that.
It’s worth a read if you enjoy young adult fiction but don’t expect more than simple relationships, plot twists that most of us will see a mile off. Hardcore fantasy reader avoid but anyone who wants a quick and easy read and not bothered by a mistakes, in accuracies will enjoy it.

I think the entirety of this series can be summed up in one word - Okay. There were pieces here and there I found interesting, and the first book had me a lot more interested than where we ended. I understand that this isn't really a huge writer with a whole editing team and ect. ect., but man, where's the romance? What about the glaring plotholes? Who cares about anything when you can pretty much do whatever you want, explaining things away 'because the goddess said so' it's just such a cop out and makes for such uninteresting and annoying writing. And don't get me started on the ending.
I just feel like what I was sold on in the beginning (a romance about a mated wolf thruple) was entirely lost on this ridiculous vampire war plotline. No more romance, heck I didn't even care about the two mates anymore.
Anyway, I supposed when a book is like $2 on amazon you shouldn't expect the best, but I was hoping for more.
Ruby purpose is finally revealed… and it’s time to pay her dues
„Luna Chosen“ by Sara Snow brings to an end Ruby’s story in the “Luna Rising Series”. This is a bitter-sweet book, on the one hand we are happy to finally find out how the story ends, and on the other…. it really ends!
Ruby’s fate was sealed at birth, exactly two minutes after her stillbirth, when she miraculous came back to life, only to struggle through life without knowledge of her real purpose. Now her father has finally revealed the reason for her survival: to be used as a goddess conduit to save the world. Ruby will have to make hard decisions, and the reader will feel with her through all of them.
Luna Rising is well-written series, with relatable characters, an interesting story-arc, and some new twists around the werewolf myth and the proverbial werewolf/vampire feud. A fast read, where the action to progress nicely, and the length of the book makes for a relative quick read, to be deal with in a couple of bites settings, should you possess the strength to put the book down in the middle of the action 😊 All MC characters are likeable and relatable enough and possess distinctive personalities, above them all Ruby (FMC) which journey comes full circle in this book, is the embodiment of a strong female which finds her way around the circumstances to fulfil her destiny.
Read it instead of listening to it... unless you have listened to the 4 other books.
I was having a hard time getting into this book. She figures out who her Mother and Father are, but she is left with so many unanswered questions. Her powers continue to grow and she finds out the reason for that, but it just goes from one fight to the next. It doesn't feel like the connections between her mates and her are getting the attention they need. And once she gets to the part of actually letting them know how she feels from all the stolen moments, that are very few by the way, she gets thrown to the Queen and it all goes down hill for them. That part was one of the better parts of the story, but I don't want to give to may spoilers. At the end it goes 6 months after the fight, and 2 years after the fight. I feel like a lot of things could have happened in the blanks between those chapters. She could have told us the love story part instead of skipping that and getting right to the ending... I also couldn't get past the audible version and ended up reading it my self. To many inconsistencies between the book and the audio version.
Luna Rising Series is definitely a must read..IT'S A WONDERFUL, AND AMAZING SERIES !!
Sara Snow is a phenomenal author, and here writing is a gift to us all.. Start with book in the series and you'll be hooked. This is last book in the Luna Rising Series, so you won't have to on for the next book to come out like I did, so you can devour each new book as you finish the last one read. Your going to call in love with these characters, I love a strong female lead, and her two mates are wonderful too. Plus every girl needs Best Friend and she's amazing. I don't want to write about this last book and give away any spoilers, because I want you to enjoy it as much as I did, but it you've gotten here to the final book in this series, I PROMISE it was worth the wait. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, but I'm pretty sure you will love the book.
I'm more of an RH reader, but I'll read pretty much anything paranormal.
I was intrigued by this series. MFM and how the two alphas weren't really interested in her as a mate.
***spoilers***
I'm frustrated, to be honest. No romance, no steam. The FMC kissed her mates like twice. Very... exciting.
Very YA for me when the characters are all older, 20+.
The last book was longer than the first four but didn't really tie anything up for me. I have more questions than I did during the first four slow-moving books.
Then everything with Natalie, the Goddess, her mother... her father.
The humans are still attacking supes and nothing really happens. Then bam, they have twins.
4 stars for Luna Chosen by Sara Snow. This is the fifth and final book in the Luna Rising series. “In war, control isn’t the most important thing. In war, we have to break ourselves free from the restrictions of doubt that could hold us back. We have to do what needs to be done because our opponents will do anything to win.” I will say this is different from other shifter romance, it was a little light on the romance though. The book was still truly enjoyable. A lot of things happened in this book that had me crying like a little baby. A lot happens in such a short book. It was filled with action.
This is a series that I constantly questioned myself as to why I continued to read it, and why I felt the need to give it more then two stars?! So after discovering Lovett is Ruby’s mom(which I pretty assumed) and her dad is Malcom, human turned warlock/wizard, I skipped book 4 completely and skimmed book 5. Guess what, didn’t miss anything important and found out how it all ended. I’ll give you a hint..ruby and axel die and come back, Xavier mourns and does his alpha duties until they come back and an epilogue 2 years later everyone lives happily ever after with ruby giving birth to twins that look like all 3 parents. whatever!

This serious has been an amazing read honestly I felt like I was apart of the story and could imagine it all happening. I just felt however, the relationship of Ruby, Axel, and Xavier could have been developed a bit more. For example every time she was upset they didn't go and check on her and most of the time they would just stare at each other, as well as the ending it felt rushed and again the reunion to me felt stiff it could have ended a lot better if the relationship had been further introduced I think
A Fitting Conclusion.🙏🐺💘😈👑💥 (Read using Kindle Unlimited) Luna Chosen (Luna Rising #5)
All the answers are finally revealed. Ruby fights her fate & argues for an independent life, finally. She wants a life that hasn't been manipulated after the war, if they win and survive it.🙏 Be warned though, because not everyone survives, there is heartache ahead.💔
I don't think I'll be reading anymore books by this author. They're probably too YA for my age.🙈 This was a reasonably good series though.😁🌟
I enjoyed this series. I did not like the adult language that got progressively worse as the series went on though. I enjoyed the action and conflict Ruby and her group was faced with. I also liked that the books were free of sex scenes. There were kisses, but they were tame and tastefully done. This series turned into more than I anticipated. I enjoyed the characters and the writing. This story is told in multiple povs. It is easy to follow and easy to be sucked in to this world. There were issues but I felt they were minor in comparison to the overall product.
5 novellas made. This could have been two books instead.
The plot was okay. Didn’t really like Rudy. I felt like she was too much sometimes and that her part in the story was unbelievable. I feel like story only brought in the “trope” to grab readers attention. (Enemies to lovers.) They we’re enemies very long.
The best part was the demons and Natalie. I like the black smoke mention.
This whole story was a little be subpar for me. It was good just could have been a lot better..

I just binge-read all the books in order. The story was exciting but there were inconsistencies and there seemed to be some plot omissions. The physical description of Xavier changes between books 1 and 5. Also, the werewolf sacrifice that ended the last war is never really explained. The background story is a poisoning in the first book, and all that has changed by the 4th book. But I enjoyed the characters and the plot. A good editor would find and fix the problems.
I binge read the series one book after the other as couldn't put any of the books down. I cried, I laughed, I growled and thoroughly enjoyed every word on the page (despite a need for proof readers as there were errors throughout)!! This is the first series I've read but already downloaded the academy boxset! I will wait to read the prequel series when they're all published so I can binge read!!
This book was depressing. I understand there's a war going on but there are supposed to be light moments to break up the darkness. I could count those moments and most of them happened in the last chapter the others can be counted on one hand. If not for the last chapter I would have rated it a two. I'm glad I read it to see how it ended but now I have to read something funny.
I have been looking for a new series to dive into after the finale of the Fever series from KMM. I've never read a werewolf/paranormal romance book series before, so I gave these a try. They are good. As you read and the characters develop/grow you become attached. There were twists and turns I didn't see coming. I read all 5 books in 2 days, and I will be reading more of her books.
It took less than a weeks time to finish this series. Every moment I had between working, taking care the family I read. Through the night waking up ready for a new chapter. I cried, laughed, got angry and overjoyed. Sometimes it was slow but once it picked up it was non stop. The story was well put together just wished a little more at the end but overall awesome.
I can't honestly say that this was an amazing series. It was ok. A few grammatical errors throughout but nothing that detracted from the story. It was cute, and clean, so suitable for the younger crowd. Had a nice storyline and characters, with love, and heartbreak and fights and magic. A bit of everything packaged and tied up with a with a nice bow at the end.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
While I was a bit skeptical when this series started due to some lackluster writing, I have to admit the author made me eat my words! I was drawn into this series so hard! Not only did the story and the characters draw me in but the writing improved immensely! I’m so sad this series is over, but you can bet I’m going to start the prequel series!
Omg what a series, from the first book to the last I was hooked, this has got to be my favourite series so far this year and will tough to beat, im wolf mad and these books really are fantastic, gripping, interesting and keep you guessing all the way through, loved Ruby's character and love xavier ❤
This book is the culmination of five novellas that should have just been one book. I wish the story had been more evenly paced. I felt like the ending was rushed, whereas the beginning was slow. There wasn't enough romance or heat. She has two mates, but there is no mating.
Overall though it's a good story, and worth the read.
