The Billionaire's Secret: Enemies to Lovers Fake Marriage Romance (Big Bad Billionaires, Book 2) (Unabridged‪)‬

This book was quite a surprise. I had never read a book by this author and found it to be well written, entertaining story. The Billionaire’s Secret is a love at first sight, erotic romantic suspense novel. The series is about “The Seven,” a group of alpha-male billionaires who were kidnapped and tortured together when they were twelve. They are determined to get retribution from the person or people responsible. This book is about Saint and Victoria, who met at the wedding of Saint’s friend to Victoria’s step-daughter. Not long after, Victoria’s husband died unexpectedly and Victoria became Saint’s obsession. This was a super hot, spicy book with a dominant alpha male and a submissive woman with a core of inner steel and a difficult backstory of her own. The push and pull of their dynamic continues through the underlying storyline about The Seven and their investigation into their kidnappers. I listened to this dual POV book on audio and this really made the book for me. Shane East was irresistible in his role reading for Saint and Faye Adele was wonderful reading for Victoria. I would recommend this book for fans of Shayla Black or Nicole Edwards, as well as readers who enjoy a super spicy romantic suspense. I am looking forward to reading additional books in this series myself! First off, I highly suggest reading the first book in this series before getting into this one. The pick up right where book one leaves off and you will also get a feel for the type of MMC Saint will be...the warning may help.
 
Saint is at the top of the list when it comes to an over the top alpha-hole that is borderline abusive to the FMC. Victoria's character is hard to like at times but knowing she has a high-value motivation helps understand why someone would put up with Saint in the beginning of this story.  The book is a bit long with some unnecessary repetition but the if you go into this thinking it's more spice driven it's easier to get through. There is a lot of angst built in and at the same time I would call it a fast-burn because their physical relationship takes off with a bang. Their were several times while listening to this book that I realized I really liked it when the main characters were not interacting with each other. The plot of the story was really good and I enjoyed book one with regards to their backstory and the ultimate goal of the MMC. I will definitely continue on with book three.
 
The narration was amazing. Shane East really brings out the power and emotion when narrating an alpha type MC. I absolutely love listening to him. Faye Adele once again was really good and the issues I had with anything to do with her character was due to the writing more than the narration. The only downside is listening to a series when the same narrators are used because there is always a bit in the beginning in which I have to remind myself these aren't the same characters from the first book. I need to take a little more time between books when this happens.

I loved this book! The characters made my guest hurt with their trauma they both endured in their lives. I knew saint wasn’t as horrible as he seemed and I could tell he loved Victoria as much as she did him. I was so happy for them in the end and I knew saint would come around . I loved the steamy scenes for sure and the narrators did a terrific job bringing these two to life. I enjoyed every minute of this audio book.
