The dragon has taken the throne...
*** INCLUDES BONUS SHORT STORY: Silk's Shitheads ***

If there's one thing the Badlands cannot tolerate, it's a dragon king. They're vicious, single-minded, and love inflicting pain.

Chief Zeke Phoenix of the Paranormal Police Department is fighting every day to avoid being consumed by his royal blood. Little by little, he's losing the fight.

Rake Masters understands that if he can kill Phoenix, ancient magic will transfer the royalty to him. Masters will no longer be a large player in Infernal City and a small player in the land of the dragons. He'll own it all, and he'll crush those who spat on his family name.

That puts Infernal City in the heart of war.

The two sides build their positions and prepare for bloodshed that's to come. The full bore of the PPD, the amassed gangs on both sides, hellions, goblins, valkyries, a pixie brigade, a single troll, and the land of dragons will square off to see who truly owns the Badlands.

Danger. Deceit. Death.

Zeke Phoenix is the only person who can end it, and he's the most dangerous of them all...

Orlando put these out of the ballpark, been long long time since read not one but 2 books back to back, and bc did not have my computer, do mean read, not used the kindle for pc. 4 was not quite as good as 5, but he was wrapping up and did read them back to back so really cannot be sure which was 4 versus 5. Note, the pixie short NOT included in the 5 star, assuming that part was logsdon, js.

This is the ending for Zeke, police chief in the badlands. The story ends and I am sad. We are engaged in a physical battle between Zeke and the Master's Inc. All his crew and friends are backing him, but he has a battle of his own going on deep in his soul. His dragon wants to be the king of dragons, but once Zeke is king he will turn into an evil, cruel lead as the royal blood in his veins are cursed. Plus he must kill Pear his brother in order to obtain the throne. Zeke fights for control over his dragon, but it gets stronger every day. Will he win this battle or will his dragon clan be ruled by a cruel dragon again and the rest of the Badlands? There is a short story about Silk and his Shitheads that is also worth reading. Sad to see Zeke and his friends go, but these authors will forge ahead to write another book or series that is as engaging and magical as this series.

What an end to the series

A Brilliant ending to this series and a worthy addition to the PPD universe. I loved how Zekes character developed and how the rest of the crew joined in as you felt a lot for each one of them.
I particularly liked how Silk got his wish and he deserved his own little bonus short at the end of this.
Not sure what i shall do now this has ended but it would be nice to see more of the Badland PPD in the future.

Absolutely ingenious

This is the fifth instalment in the Zeke Phoenix series. With Zeke fighting his royal blood line, and having to battle masters for control over the badlands, you are totally engrossed from the the get go. It will have you in absolute hysterics from start to finish. Brought to you by the most ingenious authors. If it wasn't enough to get to read such a great book, you also get the silks shitheads bonus story! Get it bought.

Together John Logsdon and Orlando Sanchez have turned out an amazing series. Dragon's Scrape is the climax of the series. Zeke and Co took back their precinct in Dragon's Mire, but they know things aren't over yet. The war is coming to a head. Will Rake Masters end up on top? Will Zeke conquer his Dragon? Will Rose have to silence the Rocket? And what about Silk and his pixies? Will the Badlands finally know peace? All will be answered in Dragon's Scrape.

Excellent

An Excellent ending to an excellent series. Great characters, great story and just enough action. The last of the series ties up all of the loose ends and leaves you feeling great. Our heros, slowly start to go their own way, finding their own path. Zeke is the chief, and he must lead the PPD into battle as only a Dragon can. He must take on Masters and a very old magic. Only with the help of his team, his friends and Pears can he do it.

Everything is coming to a head in the Badlands. Opening salvos have been fired and repelled by both Masters and the PPD. The realm holds its breath as the endgame approaches, the war to end all wars. Dominoes fall rapid fire as both sides move their final pieces, and the result is a lightning pace of action, hilarity, and secrets finally revealed. A non-stop thrill ride of a conclusion.

I am sad to reach the end of Zeke and company’s adventures, but boy what a story. Fun, action, great plot, great characters! A lot of laughs! All kinds of trials and tribulations!
I really feel that I have gotten to know the characters; especially their motivations and foibles. They have become like family to me.
This may be urban fantasy but it is truly a Hero’s Journey

Loved this ending!

This was an awesome ending to an excellent PPD series. I absolutely loved it! Ezekias trying to fight himself to keep from changing, it was great! He is such a great character, not perfect but definitely honorable. Oh and I love his brother Pear. He always seems to know just what to say to Ezekias. This was a great book.

Fantastic conclusion to Zeke's story! The last book (4) in this series felt like it was building up to something epic and Dragon's Scrape delivers! I only wish some of the big confrontation scenes lasted a little longer to build more suspense.

COULDN'T HAVE BEEN BETTER.

A truly original imagining of a disaster-crime series. Zeke Phoenix is a classic hero from the minds of two obviously demented geniuses. Deeply grateful for your work.

Dragon King

Zeke is the dragon with honor. What a fun, hilarious and action packed way to wrap up the Badlands PPD. The story flows very well and each character gets attention. The Badlands are filled with interesting creatures, dragons, bragons, hellions, slugs, pixies, voids and valkerie plus many more. Lots of adult humor. Glad Zeke and the gang got such a wonderful ending.

I can’t believe it’s over. It’s that feeling of reaching the last page when you know that is it, that bereft feeling. The good thing though about books? I can go back and enjoy them all again!

It's great to be King - NOT

Hilda did good raising her two boys and that is born out in this story. Pear plays a defining role in helping Zeke fulfill his destiny and the Badlands will be a better place because of it. The Dark Witches get their revenge, the Dragon's get a reset and even the pixies play a major role in the outcome.
