Publisher's summary

Beware of monsters bearing gifts...

A set of figurines unleash a stampede of terror on a pair of unsuspecting murderers.

Christmas takes a sinister turn when a mysterious present under the tree begins attacking family members.

And a mesmerized suitor gives his fiancée an antique necklace that literally takes her breath away.

Scare Street is proud to present the best in skin-crawling supernatural terror. This volume contains three darkly macabre tales of gift-giving gone wrong. Each story is a deliciously diabolical surprise, wrapped up with a bow for the discerning horror fan.

When it comes to presents, they say it’s the thought that counts. But with terrifying trinkets like these, those thoughts take a decidedly darker turn.

Just remember, in the twilight world of nightmares, your screams are the gift that keeps on giving!

Short Story Goosebumps

I enjoyed listening to these short stories and had fun when I got to points where I'd guessed the answers. But, then there would be twists that would give me goosebumps!

Fantastic short stories

Each story was absolutely fantastic. I love when stories can be short but still give you goosebumps just as much as a full length book. Each author brought something spooky and chilling to the table in this short story grouping.

Shivers and Chills - literally

It is hard to think that the Scare Street team can continually outdo themselves with their stories, but they never disappoint! I could not put this book down! Of the three stories featured in this book, each one had just the right level of intrigue, intensity, and scare factor!

Stories are:
Porcelain Elephants
The Cursed Necklace
Do You Hear What I Hear?

My favorite was the Porcelain Elephants out of the three. Perfectly done, and written in a way where its believable!

"Do you hear what I hear?"

Porcelain elephants was good but after reading many of Ron Ripley's stories, it felt a bit predictable.
The cursed necklace fell short for me. It felt unfinished. But the third story by Sarah Clancy, was one of the best short stories I've ever read. This creepy Christmas tale was a 5 star story. I would recommend this collection even for that story alone.

The season of giftgiving has never been more scary

Sometimes gifts that you have received can be great for your protection, and sometimes they can be deadly. You never know what’s going to happen. This is a great group of stories about gifts given/received!

They just keep getting better!

In story one too bad guys find out there’s always someone bigger than you, and book two a lady finds out patients is a virtue and impatience is deadly and in the last story sometimes a curse comes to you as a gift. If you have an already join the fan club of short horror stories then you’re so lucky get on the bandwagon, because the Ron edition 26th and they just keep getting better. I absolutely love the stories and in all honesty I can say they even sometimes give me nightmares.
