A beautiful pirate, a vengeful sea captain and a secret treasure…will love save them or destroy them?
"Brilliantly funny and full of action..."
A high seas, historical, pirate romance filled with action and adventure, mystery and intrigue, and a quest for hidden treasure!

Reluctant pirate Stevie Savauge is on a quest with her family to find a secret treasure hidden by her great-great-grandparents, the two notorious pirates Anne Bonny and Calico Jack Rackham. When her eight-year-old twin siblings are kidnapped and the ransom demand is a merchant ship called the Seeker, Stevie must find the courage to conquer her fears and fight for those she loves.

Italian-born, French privateer Drago Viteri Gamponetti (Gampo to his men) has coveted the Ahern merchant fleet for years, and sets a trap in Jamaica. Unfortunately, he has two small trouble makers aboard; a boy who wants to be just like him, and a girl that will either steal him blind or turn his black heart.

When Captain Conal O’Brien discovers that the pirates work for his sworn enemy, he doesn’t resist capture. What better way to locate Gampo’s secret stronghold than to sail right into it? But these nutty brigands aren’t who they seem to be, and if Conal’s not careful, he’s going to lose his heart as well as his ship to the woman determined to possess both.

Chloe's Pirates & Petticoats series is now available in a sweet, clean and wholesome version called The Hearts of Adventure!

Chloe supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation
Chloe Flowers is an award-winning author, the recipient of the University of Akron, Wayne College 2018 Writer of the Year Award, and writes small town contemporary women’s fiction, and historical women’s action and adventure romance novels about scoundrels, pirates, and spunky, independent heroines.

Chloe’s constantly looking for the next adventure. Her pets have always been named after her favorite characters or action heroes: Indiana, Luke, Gimli, Thelma, Rocket, Forrest, Al Giordino, Severus, Mushu, Mérida, Gibbs, Jack…Dead Pool (he’s a goldfish).

Chloe’s biggest fault is the apparent inability to say “no” whether it’s in response to a call for aid or a double-dog-dare to hike home through 30 acres of a snow-covered forest at midnight…during a full moon. It was early morning during said adventure when she came upon a group of sheriff’s deputies searching for a lost girl. So, of course she offered to help (turns out, they were searching for her).

She has a weakness for good red wine, Calvin & Hobbes comics, pie, dark chocolate and brown-eyed guys with beards, which is probably why she digs pirates, men in uniform and treasure hunters and writes about action and adventure and of course romance, which is the greatest adventure of all.

I picked this book because it had pirate in the title. For some reason, I love books with pirates (thank you Johnny Depp!). I immediately think adventure, the high seas, danger, and intrigue. This had some of them but, overall, it ended up being just ok. First, the characters I loved: Harvey and Bernard! Those two made the book for me. They were funny together and provided the laughs. I wouldn’t mind if there was a book with those two. I also loved the twins. They were cute and I liked the relationship they forged with the “bad” pirate. As for the two main love interests? Well, I could have done without them. Actually, I felt that their romance was pretty much non-existent. I didn’t “feel” the love between them. Stevie as the heroine was, well, kinda boring. She wasn’t a badass pirate either, which I was hoping she would be. Conal was ok but still kind of boring as the hero. The side characters is what made me enjoy the book. The first half was slow but more action happens the second half, and that’s the part I loved the most.

'Pirate Heiress' by Chloe Flowers is book four in the "A Pirates & Petticoats" series. This is the story of Stevie Savauge and Captain Conal O’Brien. Stevie twin siblings have been taken and the only way to get them back is to steel the the Seeker Ship. When Conal understands that Stevie is wanting to the ship to Gampo (the kidnapper and Conal enemy) he knows this might be his chance to get at Gampo. But can he withstand his attraction to Stevie? Stevie has been hurt by a man before but she doesn't seem to have learned her lesson because she can't stop wanting Conal. This was a great adventure love story.

Fortunate to have received an advance copy of 'Pirate Heiress' to read and provide an honest review, I greatly enjoyed reading this book. It is the first pirate story I have read in a very long time, and as a romance and a sailing adventure, it was a blissful breeze to read.

The romantic feelings and interludes between the hero and heroine of this story were well written, without any need for coarse language or explicitness. In addition, the supporting characters have layers that are slowly peeled away as the story progresses, making it easy to like each of them in their own way, more and more. Although this is the fourth book in this series, it is the first one I have read and I found that it reads extremely well just as a standalone story, without any need to have read the earlier books. However, having read this book, I am quite eager now to read the previous books of this series.

The author's use of language is engaging, providing a good flow through the adventure whilst highlighting the feelings of the characters. I would very much like to read more from this writer.

It is her fault! At least that’s what Stevie Sauvage believes. She causes the fire that burns her family’s hotel and gaming parlor to the ground, forcing her family to search for the treasure her great-great grandmother buried. The voyage results in their vessel being caught between a vengeful pirate and a stubborn merchant captain, which leads to her eight-year-old twin siblings being kidnapped and turning her and the rest of her family into pirates to gain the children’s ransom within one month’s time. The foolhardy plan to steal the Seeker and deliver the ship to the pirate seem doable since most of the crew are ashore . . . until she finds a handsome man bathing in the galley. But failure isn’t an option, not if she wants to save Jacqueline and Julian’s lives. Determination stiffens Stevie’s resolve and she makes the naked man a prisoner.

As far as Captain Conal O’Brien is concerned, women are silly, helpless creatures whose emotions make them weak. They are also unworthy of his trust – a fact more than verified by the female brigand aiming a pistol at him. He could easily turn the tables on her, since he’s a man who hates to be bested, but in spite of her fear, she stands her ground and that intrigues him. When he learns tat he and his ship are destined to be turned over to his sworn enemy, he complies. His friends and family will soon pursue these brigands and, together, they can put an end to the vicious pirate captain who has been hunting their merchant fleet for years.

Tired of pretending to be a ruthless and unsavory pirate, Drago Gampo is really a French privateer. One passion fuels his dogged pursuit of the merchant fleet – finding his sister, who was taken by the owner of the fleet and sold into slavery. He has searched for her for two decades, and by holding the Sauvage children captive, he will finally learn what happened to her. But his plan doesn’t take into account how the presence of the twins will impact him and his life.

This fourth tale of the Pirates & Petticoats series takes place in the summer of 1811 and interwoven into it are letters from Anne Bonny to her father from March 1718 to March 1729. They are discovered by Stevie’s family after the fire and provide clues to a treasure Anne and Mary Read buried before their capture and conviction in 1720. These letters recount a plausible version of Anne’s life because of the evidentiary gaps in historical documents and the rumors of what happened to her after her imprisonment. That Mary Read escaped as well is less believable since parish records in Jamaica provide her death date and burial place. The unfolding romance between Stevie and Conal provides intriguing counterpoints to the story’s more dangerous elements, several of which are heart-stopping. But Stevie’s sister steals the limelight from the heroine and hero. Jacqueline dares to challenge Drago more than once, and her persistent querying unearths what the adults ignore. Her cheeky humor and eager goading make the reader smile and identify with the eight year old. Pirate Heiress is populated with memorable characters and sure to please readers who enjoy historical romance spiced with swashbuckling adventure.

A Pirate Heiress was packed with lots of pirate adventure on the high seas, folks. Having not read the previous books, I was glad to discover this was a stand-alone with it’s own unique romantic storyline. Otherwise, this NetGalley reviewer would likely have been completely lost. You see, books 1 - 3 appear to have been focused on a different main couple, Keeland and Landon. Btw, at the time I wrote this review all three of those books can be purchased as a boxed set.

Captain Colan and Stephanie’s (nicknamed Stevie) unfolding relationship mostly felt like a subplot next to the various subplots (trying to rescue her twin 8 year old siblings, searching for a much needed family treasure, Stevie’s family taking over Colan’s ship, and Captain Drago’s complicated vendetta against Colan and his employer). With some twists and turns, it is revealed things and people were not actually what they were thought to be, btw. After a rather lengthy plot that covered all the bases, there wasn’t a lot of time left for the romantic storyline between the main couple. But, fortunately, there was just enough to make you very happy to see these likable lovebirds get their HEA.

Ms. Flowers did a good job with character development and kept the story flowing. Since I’m more about romance, I do have to admit I skimmed over parts near the end to get to the HEA. If you like a book heavy on high sea adventure with an underlying romantic theme, you will likely really enjoy this one.

Title: Pirate Heiress, Series: Pirates & Petticoats (book 4), Author: Chloe Flowers, Pages: 214, Pub. date: 9/15/16, stand-alone but part of a series, no cheating, no OW/OM drama, no love triangle, HEA, likable main couple, a couple VERY steamy scenes, non-virgin heroine, good guy hero, likable sub-characters, bad guy turns out to be good after all.

Book 1 - Hart’s Desire, 5/17/16, Pages: 300 (Keeland & Landon)
Book 2 - Hart’s Passion, 6/27/16, Pages: 342 (Keeland & Landon..continued)
Book 3 - Hart’s Reward, 6/15/16, Pages: 194 (Keeland & Landon..conclusion)
Book 4 - Pirate Heiress, 9/1516, Pages: 214 (Conal & Stephanie - nickname Stevie)

If You Give a Pirate a Treasure: A Women's Action and Adventure Romance is the fourth book in the Pirates & Petticoats Sexy Romance series by Chloe Flowers. You definitely don't have to read the previous books first to enjoy this one. If you are like me then after reading this one you will want to go back and read the others anyway. I enjoyed this story that much!

Stevie (Stephanie) and her family in search of possible treasure after losing their home and business take to the sea. Not long after setting off, they are captured by a privateer who forces them to help him capture an enemy and his ship. They have to do as they are bid because he keeps the youngest of the family, twins, and won't release them until he gets what he wants.

Captain Conal O’Brien is the captain of The Seeker. At an opportune moment when most of his crew are onshore, Stevie and her family amazingly manage to capture the ship. He is discovered enjoying a bath by Stevie and although highly embarrassed she orders him to get out of the bath at pistol point. What an introduction to Conal that was!

I don't want to give spoilers, but I will say that the journey the two of them go on is more than an adventure to save the children, or for revenge or a treasure hunt, there are swashbuckling battles, serious moments, some beautiful heartfelt moments, and some light-hearted fun moments, but it is also a beautiful romance with some well written intimate moments between the captain and Stevie. The story really ticks all the boxes and there is a twist towards the end that I just did not see coming.

I can't fault this story at all and happily rate it 5 stars.

I've been finding a lot of wonderful new-to-me authors lately and Chloe Flowers is one of them. This is also my first pirate novel and I wasn't disappointed.
Conal O'Brien is the captain of The Seeker, a merchant ship in the Ahern Merchant Fleet. He is wildly handsome and charming to boot. I, as well as Stevie, fell in love with him almost immediately. Stevie Sauvage and her family take possession of his ship in order to appease her twin brother and sisters kidnapper. They must deliver The Seeker to Jamaica or the children will die. In an attempt to do this, calamity ensues. In addition to this they are also trying to find the treasure that her great grandmother, Anne Bonny has hidden away. There are letters from Anne to her father at the beginning of every chapter which I thought was a nice touch. Anyhoo, they encounter a nasty storm, a British frigate and booby trapped caves and live to tell the tale. There is also a lot of comedy relief between Uncle Bernard and Harvey that made me laugh out loud.
Overall, this book really good. The characters meshed really well and the storyline really kept my interest with a couple of subplots. It read well as a standalone as I hadn't read the previous books in this series and they are now on my tbr list.

Description

Reluctant pirate Stevie Savauge is on a quest with her family to find a secret treasure hidden by her great-great-grandparents: two notorious pirates, Anne Bonny and Calico Jack Rackham. When her eight-year-old twin siblings are kidnapped and the ransom demand is a merchant ship called the Seeker, Stevie must find the courage to conquer her fears and fight for those she loves, including her handsome hostage.

Captain Conal O’Brien is ready to fight for control of his ship until he discovers the pirates commandeering it work for his sworn enemy. What better way to locate the pirate’s secret stronghold than to sail right into it? It’s not long before he realizes these brigands aren’t who they seem to be, and if he’s not careful, he’s going to lose his heart as well as his ship to the woman determined to destroy both.

My Thoughts:
I read this title in just over one day as it was the holiday weekend. I had not previously read anything by this author and was impressed enough that I will look for other titles by her.
The characters were engaging (especially the eight year old twins) and the storyline well developed. I will keep this author on my list for future offerings.
I would give this book a 3.75 star offering.
I received a digital ARC of this book from the publisher and author in exchange for an honest review.

2.5 stars.

This book is well written. Sentence structure, dialogue, etc, is very good. I love the author's style. But the rest of the book is a let-down.

The romance is very underdeveloped. There are also lines like these below that don't sit well with me:

"A realization of what, he didn’t quite know, but it wasn’t anything he’d ever felt when tupping a wench while at port, so it was different from the simple sexual urge to couple with her, although the urge existed."

"One minute he was ready to wring her neck, and now he wanted to hold her and tell her everything was going to be fine."

"Although she was dressed like a man, she was all woman, soft and tender. Weak. Afraid of her own shadow. A liability, yes. He could protect her, keep her safe."

"One moment he was ready to shake the truth out of her, the next he wanted to taste her."

Oh how swoony. NOT.

The characters are also extremely flat, and the plot doesn't make sense. I still have a lot of questions, mainly "Why?" for most of the incidents that happen. I think too much was going on in the story, what with the treasure, the map, the subplots, and not everything makes sense.

This book is a silly, swashbuckling adventure, but it's weak.

The Sauvage family had found a lot of old letters from a famous pirate leading them to her treasures. famous pirate. Stevie Sauvage and her family are desperate to get back her twin eight year old siblings who were ta
ken by a villinous pirate name Gampo. He demands they bring him a ship in order for him to release the twins and leaves them with one of his men to make the journey to Jamaica.
There is nothing like a story involving pirates on the high seas, although Stevie was not really a pirate herself. But she took the lead when they boarded and took over a ship. Captain Conal O'Brien never expected his ship to be taken over by a group of people who try to appear as pirates, but it is apparent they are not. Held at gunpoint by a lad pointing a pistol at him he soon realizes it is a woman.
A fun story filled with everything needed to hold my attention until the last page. Hidden treasure, a sigh worthy Captain, romance and twist and turns that happen on their journey. An amazing cast of characters created by the author and at the beginning of each chapter one of the letters they found.
Would definitely recommend this one!!

Stevie Savauge is on a quest with her family to find a secret treasure hidden by her great-great grandmother Ann Bonny. Her eight year twin siblings get themselves kidnapped by Drago Viteri Gamponetti, “Gampo” a conniving privateer with revenge in mind. Gampo’s ransom demands that Stevie and the rest of her family have to steal Captain Conal O’Brien’s ship and sail it to him. Conal finds out that Stevie and her “pirate” family work for his sworn enemy, he doesn’t resist capture. For Conal what better way to catch Gampo than to sail right into his hideaway. Conal becomes very protective of Stevie and he’s never very far from her side. This is an enjoyable book, with a few funny antics, sweet romance and fun on the high seas chasing the clues leading to great-great grandmother Ann Bonny’s treasure to Jamaica start a new life.

A family looking for a treasure that had been taken by a famous pirate.
An unexpected adventure on the high seas. Filled with the search for old hidden treasure, kidnapped siblings, a villinous pirate and a sigh worthy Captain whose ship is shanghied. Captain Conal O'Brien never expected his ship to be taken over by a group of people who try to appear as pirates, but it is apparent they are not.
Stevie Sauvage and her family are desperate to get back her twin eight year old siblings who were ta
ken by a villinous pirate name Gampo. He demands they bring him a ship in order for him to release the twins and leaves them with one of his men to make the journey to Jamaica.
Of course Stevie and Conal are attracted but he doesn't know what they need his ship for at first.
The story flowed really well and kept my attention from the first. What's not to like about a pirate story? I really enjoyed this one!

This is a stand-alone story by this author, although some of the characters in her Hart saga appear in this pirate romance. I just gave it away, didn’t I? It’s a super duper pirate romance and I loved it! As in the Hart saga, there are a couple of old mysteries to be solved, some with written clues and some with innuendo and family histories, but the mysteries add to the spice in this adventure story. It is also a story about family and the love between its members as they fight danger, kidnapping and high seas drama. It captivated me from page one to The End and I heartily recommend it.

When is a pirate not a pirate?
This story has so many twists that it will make your head swim and it was so entertaining. Steal a ship, rescue and find love one, find a treasure, danger, action and love all mixed together in this pirate story. This fast-paced charmer was so much fun to read I loved the interaction between all the characters. I highly recommend you check this one out! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

IT PAINS ME TO RATE A BOOK SO LOWLY, BUT MAYBE IT'S JUST ME AND MY OPINIONS BUT IT WASN'T CAPTIVATING AT ALL.

THE CHARACTERS WERE SO-SO, THE PLOT WAS OVERLY DRAWN OUT...AND WAS THERE ROMANCE? WELL, IT WAS VERY LUKEWARM THAT I DIDN'T FEEL ANY CONNECTION AT ALL. SEX? YES, THERE WAS PLENTY OF THAT...BUT THE EMOTIONAL CONNECTION JUST DIDN'T FEEL REAL.

OUR HERO is probably the most decent character development in this story...not that the others were lacking...but I just liked him better than the rest. The opening of the story was intriguing, I mean...a naked Captain caught in his bathtub at gunpoint from a brave heroine in disguise. Pages after that...it just fell into a bit of a snooze-ville. The plot itself was a little dull and lame, I mean it didn't pique my interest at all. Only the Captain caught my attention but I only wished he had a better heroine to play along with in this story. When his ship and crew becomes so-called hostages to the heroine's family, he has no choice but to be swept along in their wayward plan to rescue the heroine's kidnapped twin siblings. Obviously Conal was unwilling at first and maybe quite annoyed with the way things turned out...until he meets the little rabbit, which in my opinion...their romance development was cut to the chase starting with passionate, sweaty sex in his bed. Conal's a man who takes initiative, he's smart and also cautious...making him quite a character to read about.

OUR HEROINE lacked certain characteristics that I'd rather she had to make her more kick-ass, although for a kitchen maid turned private and thief...she's doing a rather good job of it, despite her constant fear and inabilities such as shooting a gun well or fighting. There is definitely growth in Stevie's persona...from a frightened rabbit to a roaring tigress (but not THAT much). She's often doubting herself in terms of relationship, and mind you she's no virginal miss after getting duped and heartbroken by a swindler. Her family's out to make a change in their lives - treasure hunting for their ancestor's buried treasure. Along the way, their boat was caught in a crossfire between Conal and the enemy, and for some reason Stevie's twin siblings became captive to the infamous Gampo. In order to save them, her family has to bring Conal's fleet to Gampo. That's pretty much the story in a nutshell. Sometimes Stevie appears too timid for my taste, and her ideas while may be great...are pretty risky bordering on silly.

OVERALL I frankly cannot say this was AMAZING. It was filled with quite a bit of humour and plotting...but no thanks. I WANT ROMANCE! And this one didn't deliver enough to satisfy....it was quite bland.

A fire, a kidnapping, a treasure hunt, a romance and pirates — what was not to like about Pirate Heiress?

If it weren't for Stevie Savauge and the whole catching the kitchen and then the rest of the building on fire incident, her family would still have a home, and her family would not have gone on a quest to find a secret treasure hidden by her Great Great Grandparents — which subsequently led to the capture of her eight-year-old siblings. Now the kidnapper is demanding that they deliver him a ship called the Seeker or the children will die.

Does Stevie's family have it in them to become pirates, save the children and find the treasure? Time will tell...

I was intrigued by the blurb, and by the time I had read the first chapter I knew this book was a keeper. With mesmerising prose and a storyline that I simply adored, Pirate Heiress has all the makings for a great read.

I loved the characterisation of Stevie. Stevie is thrown into a man's world — a pirates world— and she has to learn very quickly how to stay alive. What she did not expect to find was love with Captain Conal O’Brien, especially after she and her family took control of his ship! The romance between the two is a steady build which simmers and then explodes into one heck of a storm that neither Stevie or Conel will ever recover from! Totally believable and very romantic! Love, Love, Loved it!!

It seems a strange thing to say, but I really liked the antagonist of this novel. Drago Viteri Gamponetti has his own back story, which takes nothing away from the protagonists but kept me interested and turning those pages. I wanted to dislike him but found that I could not, for he is, despite the whole kidnapping incident, a nice man.

This storyline itself was well thought out and engaging. I have read a fair few "pirate romances," and I have to say that Pirate Heiress is up there with the best. FANTASTIC READ!!

I thoroughly enjoyed Pirates Heiress, and I look forward to reading more books from this author. Well done, Chloe Flowers!

I Highly Recommend.

Full disclosure: I received this novel through a Goodreads First Reads giveaway, thanks to the author, but that in no way affects this review. (read the paperback, not the e-book edition)

Mixing pirates, intrigue, treasure, and swashbuckling with romance, Flowers presents a historical romance between a 'pirate' Stevie Savauge and Conal O'Brien, the captain of his ship, the Seeker.

The family Savauge, of whom Stevie is just one member, hijacks Conal's boat and demands (at the point of a gun) he help them sail it to Jamaica in order to save the twins, younger siblings of Stevie, from the pirate Drago, who has a vendetta against Conal's extended family.

This fourth book in the Pirates and Petticoats series can be read without having read the first three, but this reader wouldn't suggest it. This reader has previously read the first one (Hart's Desire) so had an inkling of some of the past events, but there were still events that must have occurred in novels two and three that were unfamiliar to this reader and made for a few 'what-is-going-on moments' and 'okay-now-I-get-it moments.' (Ironically, this reader actually has purchased the e-book bundle 1-3 to read prior to reading this one, but then decided (after reading the synopsis) it was possible to figure it out as it seemed unrelated to the others, sort of...and would read Hart's Passion and Hart's Reward some time in the future, but I digress.)

Following the lead of letters written by the pirate Anne Bonny, the family sets out to find the treasure they believe she left for her heirs to find (each chapter is prefaced with a letter Anne has written to her father).

Think Pirates of the Caribbean in book form...there is humor and betrayals, kidnappings and mayhem, but a pretty clean romance as it isn't too graphic...basically lots going on, yet it concludes the series well (and even with a tease for another series).

4.5 stars actually as there are quite a few typos and formatting errors. Could use another look or two during proofing, but not so egregious as to ruin the story.

An extended review will be posted at www.pedometergeek.wordpress.com in the near future (January 2018)

I found this book through a goodreads giveaway that I did not win. So, imagine my surprise when I found it on netgalley! I received a free ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The overall book is fun, funny, and full of action and adventure. The Sauvage family is large and noisy and, while a bit confusing about who is a sibling and who is a cousin, they clearly love each other and work together for common goals. Conal and his crew are also charming and it is fun to watch how they two groups blend, work together, and get along.

As for Stevie and Conal’s romance, it is not a case of instant lust, they had been noticing each other, though not always in a complimentary way. There is not a lot of internal monologue, so it is difficult to gauge how fast or slow things build, but the ending is sweet and I like the adventure that gets them their happily ever after.

This was my first Chloe Flowers book. It works as a stand-alone novel, but it features many of the characters from her Pirates & Petticoats series. While I understood everything going on, I feel like I would have had a better grasp on the nuances of the relationships if I had read the other books earlier.

But, in general, I can happily recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and funny romp on the high seas.

This was a new author for me. I read Book Four first, because it could be read as a standalone; however, I enjoyed the story so much that I am going to go back and start reading this series from the beginning.

This book has a kidnapping, the search for a long lost sister, pirate ship battles, a treasure hunt and romance. The story was very well written and very complex. You will meet the bad guy and then wonder why you like him seeing as how he is the bad guy. The story has a few very nice twists and moves at a very nice pace. The main characters are very interesting and likable, and the sub-characters are very entertaining which made the book so much more enjoyable. There were times when I laughed out loud.

This story has it all - drama, mystery, humor, pirates and romance. It was an excellent read. It looks like I have found a talented new author. Highly recommended!

The Sauvage family had a gaming house and a boarding house in New Orleans. They were a close knit family who did well . A kitchen accident in the boardng house caused both houses to burn to the ground. This pirate bok is unusual because each chapter begins with a letter from Ann Bonny who was a woman pirate almost 100 years ago left a marble box and letters with the whereabouts of a treasure that she had hid. Several emeralds were in the box to pay for them to get a start. Stevie dressed like a boy and her brothers and uncle headed out to sea. With the exception of the two older men, no one knew anything about sailing. The two adorable right year old twins were kidnapped by Captain Drago, a notorious pirate, and would return them for the Captain Final and his cargo. Reading the hundred old letters and the 19th century journey about learning the ship's terms was fun .Capt. Conal O'Brien was trapped in his own ship and learned that Stevie was not a boy was also fun for Stevie and the Captain. Great read and a follow up to The trilogy of Captain Hart makes for a great read. Many mysteries were explained and the notorious pirate Drago came to love the eight year old Julian and Jacqueline. Stevie started dressing like a woman. But Captains learned about family.

This was a fast paced story full of action and adventure. Most of the action takes place on various ships and an island. There is plenty of action, including a treasure hunt that is linked to their ancestor, Anne Bonny, a pirate, through her letters written a hundred years ago. There is also battle at sea and a budding romance. The family connections are very important in this storyline. The young twins, Jacqueline and Julian were delightful. I hadn’t read any of the previous titles but it didn’t affect my enjoyment of this book. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

HEA Pirate Abduction Romance

I enjoyed the story because I fell in love with Conal O'Brien's character in the previous books and I was really happy he got his match in Stevie, I really like her. However, I found it a little hard to swallow that a bumbling family that burned down their own gambling hall and hotel could steal a merchant ship from a under a competent captains nose with him aboard and the story goes on. The story was entertaining, though far spun. Good entertainment for an easy and happy read.

This book was gifted to me. Brilliantly funny and full of action this book is very entertaining. The characters are interesting and likable, even the bad guy, and the storyline is exciting. I couldn't put this down and I couldn't stop laughing. I can't wait to read more by this author.

See duplicate review under the e-book...this is the edition read and for what it is worth, I received this novel through a Goodreads First Reads giveaway, but that did not affect my review.
