Rate this book
THIS IS BOOK 3 OF A 3 BOOK SAGA
Can too people fall in love twice in a lifetime?
Landon Hart:
I wake up to learn that I’ve been unconscious for days.
I have no memory of the past five years.
There’s a woman dressed as a boy aboard my ship and she claims to be my wife.
I don’t believe her.
She’s hiding something.

Keelan Hart:
Remember me.
Everything I tell Landon about our time together sounds like an elaborate lie.
How can he fall in love with me again if he won’t trust me?
We have fought too hard to be together for me to just let him go.
The scoundrel doesn’t remember me, but he does remember Annette Camsby, his ex-mistress.
Fight for Landon’s heart? Damn right I will.

Before Keelan and Landon can pursue the pirates who took her brother, they must complete their mission and smuggle runaways to Philadelphia.
When an accident takes Landon’s memories from the past five years, Keelan must fight for their lives as well as Landon’s heart. How will he be able to fall in love with her again when he doesn’t even want her on his ship?

Chloe's Pirates & Petticoats series is now available in a sweet, clean and wholesome version called The Hearts of Adventure!

Chloe supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation
Chloe Flowers is an award-winning author, the recipient of the University of Akron, Wayne College 2018 Writer of the Year Award, and writes small town contemporary women’s fiction, and historical women’s action and adventure romance novels about scoundrels, pirates, and spunky, independent heroines.

Chloe’s constantly looking for the next adventure. Her pets have always been named after her favorite characters or action heroes: Indiana, Luke, Gimli, Thelma, Rocket, Forrest, Al Giordino, Severus, Mushu, Mérida, Gibbs, Jack…Dead Pool (he’s a goldfish).

Chloe’s biggest fault is the apparent inability to say “no” whether it’s in response to a call for aid or a double-dog-dare to hike home through 30 acres of a snow-covered forest at midnight…during a full moon. It was early morning during said adventure when she came upon a group of sheriff’s deputies searching for a lost girl. So, of course she offered to help (turns out, they were searching for her).

She has a weakness for good red wine, Calvin & Hobbes comics, pie, dark chocolate and brown-eyed guys with beards, which is probably why she digs pirates, men in uniform and treasure hunters and writes about action and adventure and of course romance, which is the greatest adventure of all.

This was a lovely romance and a quick read. This does not mean that it was at all predictable as one thing after another (many life-threatening!) keep the two lovers from connecting. The pacing was excellent and the story drew me through from one scene to the next.

I enjoyed the characterization of the main protagonists (and several of the minor characters) as they were well wrought and fully formed. I connected with Keelan’s heartbreak when Landon loses his memory as well as Landon’s confusion and frustration at the situation. I laughed out loud during the scene when Ronnie is disguised. The characters felt real to me and their actions and reactions realistic.

I especially liked the historical aspects of the book and the author’s convincing knowledge and use of sailing terms: This grounded the book and made the settings come alive for me. I could picture the story almost as a movie, seeing (and hearing, etc.) the character’s surroundings as the story unfolded.

I haven’t read the first two books in the series, but didn’t feel lost as the author deftly put in details that made our lovers’ past clear. Of course, while this story was clear enough without the first two books, it was also well written so I plan to go back and read the first two!

Emotionally wrenching, unpredictably twisted trilogy topper!

I loved the third story in Keelan Grey O'Brien Hart and Captain Landon Hart's action filled adventurous love story! My emotions ran the gamut and I couldn't put it down until I knew Landon remembered his love for Keelan! What crazy twists ensue throughout this madcap love story... you will love it!

I really enjoyed this book. Action and adventure in which as some time during the book I wanted to smack the Hero, the dashing and swoon worthy Captain Hart (that’s how involved I got in the book lol) because of his memory loss!
It’s the closure of Captain Hart and Keelan’s story and my oh my, what a story.

Where the heck have I been, that I did not find these books.
Oh My God this set of books is amazing. If I had not got an
e-mail telling me about them, I would have missed some
great books. These books are well written, well thought out,
and full of twist and turn that make for hell of a read.

If you have not read book one and two yet you may not want
to read this review it has a few spoilers.

Oh My God can Keelan ever get a break. The Night she was

to wed Landon was interrupted when her brother was taken
hostage and his ship stolen. Now they have to head back to
Charleston and take care of the run always to get them to
freedom. On their way to Charleston they run into a bad
storm. During this storm Landon jumps in the way of flying
debris to protect Keelan. But in doing so he is hit in the head
and looses the last five years of his memory. Which me and
he has not clue who Keelan is or that she is his wife. Wanted
for murder now and her husband not knowing who she is
has taken its toll. She trys all kinds of things to remind him
but none seem to work. When the reach Charleston the one
person you will never believe will confirm her statement that
she is indeed his wife will shock you. Then the pirates find
out she is back and she loses someone close to her as he
jumps in front of a knife meant for her. Greif stricken she
soon finds out Landon is in trouble. And now it is up to her
and her cousin to save him and it is one hilarious rescue.
Now she just has to hope he regains his memory or at least
help him fall in love with her all over again. And get her
happly ever after, after all.

Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you
enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book,
please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it
when you do; they value your opinions too.

Number three in the Pirates and Petticoats series. Just as Keelan and Landon Hart thought they were going to find some happiness by getting married, her brother is kidnapped by the same man that had sworn revenge on Keelan.
Aaahh! Too much! Too much! But all in a good way...

The twists and turns of the story kept me on my toes. The romance storyline has already been established so I was really eager to see how the author was going to overcome the amnesia and I'm pleased to say I was happy with the results. In addition to Keelan and Hart's romantic issues, other characters and situations helped the story moved along swiftly. I particularly liked when Keelan made use of her fighting skills and Hart got to show what a great Captain and leader he is. Oh, and this one showed more character depth and insight into the main characters so that was another plus. All in all I think this is my favorite of the 3 and I'll most likely be reading the continuation to the saga.
3.5 stars.

How many men would say that a woman was a reward? And truly mean what he was saying. This time around Keelan has to do the work. She has to work to help her man remember things that drew them together and keep them that way. With the smuggling, rescue, and other business and such going on. The adventure has more life with the accident that could claim it all from them. Keelan entered the battle of her love life. Landon does not want her around. She has to get around that in some way. This was the test that was needed to cement their bond.

Full of action, adventure, and romance! This kept me on the edge of my seat and I look forward to more from this author! Although there is a bit of info dumping in the beginning despite this being the third book, the events quickly take off and keep you edge until the very end! Comes highly recommended.
