Another great Linear Tactical book. Lots of action, suspense, stubborn alpha men and misunderstood women. Everything this series is know for. Lexi is on the run and takes advantage of the wrong man. This is the same Alexandra from Primal Instinct and I didn’t realize it until the end. You might want to read that one first because it was amazing. Gaven Zimmerman is bound and determined to find out Lexi’s secrets. He’s kind of a jerk at first but by the end I was in love with him. “You absolutely wreck me, woman. Obliterate all my control. I hardly recognize myself when I’m around you.”

Another amazing book from Janie Crouch in her Linear Tactical series. Gavin and Lexi are amazing even if their start is pretty rocky! Lots of action, some major twists and times you want to box Gavin's ears. We first meet Lexi in Survival Instinct and let's just say she wasn't the best person. She appears again in Baby. You don't have to have read these books, but they do give you a little extra context. This is such an awesome book, I didn't want to put it down. I can't wait for the rest of this series, but I'll be very sad when the series comes to an end. Disclosure: I was given an ARC for a fair review.

I'm always excited to read a book by Janie Crouch, and when it's a Linear Tactical story, so much the better. I've become so invested in the Linear Tactical family, and I've been waiting for Gavin's turn. Naturally, the stoic, do it by the book Redwood would get a love interest who may not be walking the right side of the line. Lexi was introduced in another book by this author, but if you haven't read that one, you won't be lost here. That's the beauty of Janie's books. A lot are interconnected, but she gives the reader enough to follow the story. That's not to say you won't want to meet the rest of these terrific characters once you've met any of them because you definitely will! Anyway, back to Gavin and Lexi. I'll admit that I wasn't quite sure about how this couple was going to work out. They seem like night and day, but the more they were together, the more I wanted them together. Of course, we get a fair bit of danger to go with the romance, and even if you figure out where the danger is coming from, it's still a gripping story - exactly what I expect from this author. This one is a romantic suspense novel, and we get plenty of that, but it's also a story about redemption, family, forgiveness, and hope. All in all, another great story in the series, and I can't wait to see what's next.
