There comes a time when you just have to flex your claws.
The cops in the New York Paranormal Police Department take issue with people screwing up their city, and they're in a foul mood indeed. Friends have been lost, and lives have been irreparably damaged, all because Osiris seeks the brass ring.
The sinister sparkler has been held back by the inherent limitations of gemstones. They burn out before his ambitious spells can form. But his plan for a never-ending jewel-replenishing machine is nearing completion, which means it's time to take over New York once and for all. He just needs to activate the machine that will unleash a level of magic the world never imagined possible.
Too bad for him that a tsunami of pain is coming his way, and it'll take everything he's got to split the waters.
You see, the weretiger by the name of Bethany Black, is coming for him.
She has finally grown into the cop that Max Shakespeare has been mentoring her to be. She understands what's on the line. She knows what she needs to do to get the job done.
There's only one thing left for her to do.
Bethany needs to fully unleash her claws and drag out the full tiger power that lives deep inside.

This story is why these authors are on my "favourites" list. The PPD stories always contain brilliant storylines, twists, fantastic characters and a huge amount of humour - both appropriate and totally inappropriate. Wild Claws is the last of the five "Claws" novels featuring Bethany Black. Each one kept me hooked and, if not for life interfering, I would have been unable to put them down, If you haven't read any of these yet make a (late) New Year Resolution to give them a try. I guarantee this is one resolution that will reap rewards.
I have read all 5 books in this series now and found them enjoyable if not riveting. There is gentle humour and some imagination in the paranormal creatures, but a rather simplistic right and wrong view of magic craft. All wizards male? With more power than witches? And the female characters are also simplistic and not quite believable. Still good reading for young adults i suspect.
What a trip! Wrapping up the action but still funny!
Ok, that was a super fun ending to the New York PPD series! There was action, there was angst, there was witty banter, and of course, Junker stole his scenes. The comedy in an action finale was priceless. This was a great ending, but I’d happily take another ride with the NYPPD in the future!
I'm sad that it's over but what a great ending. Bethany and Mike finally learn the truth about their past as does Mr. Pickle. Granny was hilarious and a great addition. Lots of twists turns somersaults a couple cartwheels and a flip and your at the end wondering what just happened. Lol loved it and hope we hear more from the nyppd in the future.
Outstanding! What a way to finish the this storyline! All the secrets brought to light. A satisfying read. And, as always, a fun adventure. I would recommend reading this whole series, it’s worth it.
A stupendous ending to this story as Bethany finally finds out about her past and why she has led the life she has. With more surprises and reveals than a lucky bag this was top notch entertaining from start to finish. Hopefully bringing another series into play later on.
but what a ride! Overall, this was a fun series with an interesting cast of characters. I really enjoyed it and am hoping that Bethany and crew will show up again. Definitely recommend this series
It's a crazy, bumpy ride for Bethany and her diminutive boss/partner, Max, to get to the conclusion of this one. Mysteries solved, revelations, um - revealed. And godsloveher, Granny G gets the best lines. Lol! Lots of fun for PPD fans, as always.
If you think you know what's in store within this finale, you're deluded. So many strings pulled together to create this tale, woven with chaotic action and riotous humor dialed to eleven. Though I hated to see the story end, watching it leave was an absolute blast.
What an absolute cracker of a way to end the New York ppd series. Another well written book with characters that you can vividly imagine and action that will have you hooked from the start. An absolute diamond of a book !!
A satisfying end to the series, which I really enjoyed as well. Surprises, answers, some sad things, some happy. The series was fun to read and quite clever and entertaining. This book finished it well. I want more!
Brilliant end to the series, but you won’t see it coming! Great writing, characters, plot, thrills and spills and pure enjoyment that you always get from these authors......so sad this is the last one......but what a way to go!
Another fantastic read that takes you on a journey, one in which you discover the answers to all those questions you wanted answering from the previous books. Brilliant.
BB and the gang, now know their target and what to do to get to it and still save some others. This baby will keep you reading fast and have so much coming at you. Great conclusion to this story. Off to check out the other precincts.
So much to digest! So many characters who have secrets! Not everyone and/or everything is as it seems. There are secrets in secrets and plots in plots. The humor, action, and plot are great. This is a terrific ending to the wonderful series.
What a great conclusion to this series! If you haven't read them yet, I whole heartedly recommend that you do! These are great books by fantastic authors!
Bethany Black is having a few were tiger control issues! New York PPD has it all, mobsters, intrigue, secrets and lies plus all the hilarity and action I’ve loved throughout the entire series. Shakespeare is better than ever with his sarcasm and anger issues, gotta love pixies. There is a fantastic bonus story that explains some things. Action packed urban fantasy
