Storm Bound is Charlie and Adam story, they met on a bus, and they didn’t know that they were traveling to the same place.
The attraction between both MC is there since the beginning but little they know are going to work together.
Adam loves to be dominated and Charlie to be in control, so they start a Dom/sub relationship during a storm and works for
What I like the most is that neither of the MC’s are physically fit, Charlie has a health condition and Adam is overweight
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

DNF. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve not finished reading a book. I generally give all story lines time to develop and authors the opportunity to create something worth reading. I think 50% is a fair chance but this book is just not my cup of tea.

I love BDSM books. I love MM books. I even like the age swap for D/s. I love stories that have out of the norm main characters, with visual disabilities, without them, overweight - basically normal people and not the muscled, drop dead gorgeous, tanned, outwardly beautiful types in almost all books. I just couldn’t get into this one.

Also, I know the author isn’t from the US, but anyone who grew up in or lives in the Midwest, of which Illinois and Michigan are part of, have been in a tornado watch/warning. I feel like that’s a pretty easy thing to research. I’m not saying everyone likes them, but when it’s taught at a very young age in school what to do during one, this is something the character from MI, who lived in IL, would absolutely know.

Lastly, I’ve read the previous books and loved 2 & 3 of the series. I’m going to read the next one in the series as well just to see how the storyline finishes out. Hopefully that one goes better than this one.

Storm Bound (Cedarwood Beach Book 4) by Rhys Everly is a wonderful book about two strangers who meet under unusual circumstances and quickly fall in love. Both men are leaving jobs in the Midwest, one to escape his current boring and somewhat scary life, and the other to help out family members. They are supposed to fly to their new homes but a storm cancels their flights so they take the bus and end up on the same one for over 10 hours. A small accident lands one of them in the other’s lap and it goes on from there. They talk and share the time and both have an almost instant attraction to each other as they like the same quirky things. They arrive at their final destination near the ocean in Virginia and go their separate ways but get each other’s phone numbers. Imagine their surprise when the find out they are working together! Because of this they have to act professionally and not date but after a short while they find this impossible because the attraction is too great, especially after a tropical storm hits and they are forced to stay together and ride it out. Throw in meddling relatives, total nerdom and cosplay of a popular gay TV show, dom/sub kink, and an ex who comes to town and almost spoils everything and you have a great story that I couldn’t put down. There is also a small amount of suspense that keeps you reading and wondering what will happen next. Plus you get to see some of the characters in the previous books in the series that try to help (or hinder) the main characters. I have read many of Mr. Everly’s books and this is one of my favorites. I highly recommend it because it doesn’t disappoint.

This is Adam and Charlie’s story, and it’s full of sweetness, romance, and a variety of (supportive, but quirky) family antics. While not strictly necessary, it’s helpful to have read the author’s Cursed Hearts series before this book, as both Charlie and Adam (Adam in particular) are fans of Cursed Hearts, the fictional tv show based on the characters from that series that shows up in several of the author’s other novels (as meta references go, it’s a fun one). In this one, Curse Hearts figures heavily in pretty much every aspect of Charlie and Adam’s relationship, including the physical ones. Their shared fandom is arguably as deeply ingrained in their connection as their D/s dynamic is, and it makes for some interesting interactions. I loved how much of their relationship is built on seeing and not just accepting but celebrating each other for who they really are-- it’s empowering for both of them, especially since each has a history of previous partners making them feel inadequate, for various reasons. On that note, too, I’ll just say that Adam’s ex is a piece of work, and that their interactions were deeply, deeply uncomfortable-- a huge contrast to what Charlie and Adam share. (Also, if you’re sensitive to descriptions of manipulation and emotional abuse, that’s something to consider when reading, as there are relatively brief, but intense, moments that meet those criteria depicted in the later part of this book). There’s also, of course, a dramatic resolution and a perfectly fitting HEA, one that’s exactly what you’d expect for Adam and Charlie.

Storm Bound is Charlie and Adam story, they met on a bus because their flights were cancelled due to a winter storm, they didn’t know that they were traveling to the same place. They were attracted to each other and spend time together while traveling and when they arrived to their destination they exchanged phone numbers. Charlie works as a nurse in Chicago but is back home to help to take care of his grandmother, he will work for 6 months with the local doctor while he is in Cedarwood beach. Adam is a doctor and wants a new start in a small town and he is taking over his uncle’s practice. They both discover that they will work together and at first they decided to be friends because they would work together and want to remind professional but their chemistry is of the charts and soon they get together. Adam loves to be dominated and Charlie lives to be in control so they start a Dom/sub relationship and works for them, there’s a little bit of angst due to Adam’s ex-boyfriend but it got resolved. I like both Charlie and Adam, they complement each other and I love their HEA!

🚍 Bus ride to bliss? Serendipity at work? Sweet & steamy power dynamic😉

Storm Bound combines a great chance meeting for medical professionals Charlie and Adam on a crowded bus that gets a surprising opportunity to lead somewhere, with good-natured family intervention, a steamy but non violent D/S relationship helped along by bouts of stormy weather, and a blast from Adam's past that rocks their romance. Charlie has out of the ordinary physical challenges and Adam carries some extra weight; I liked that neither guy was a perfect ripped stud.

It's a good plot, has a few complications to make the good times that much more satisfying and the small town setting have it a cozy, close-knit community feel. Yes, it can be read on its own and there's a satisfying ending but Charlie's family and friends are all through the book so reading their stories from earlier in the series would be helpful, just not strictly necessary.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

Storm Bound is the fourth book in the Cedarwood Beach series by Rhys Everly.

This romance has a meeting that seems set in the stars. With a storm that pops up at an inconvenient time and an awkward boss/employee situation, there's plenty to enjoy about this story.

I enjoy the way Charlie senses Adam's need to submit. I love the way he immediately steps in to help calm him.

This tale includes a health issue that has caused a lot of insecurities over the years. I enjoy the writing style, but something about the storyline didn't have me loving this story. I was definitely distracted by some small details, and taken out of the story at times.

Storm Bound is a good small town romance. There's lots to enjoy in this Rhys Everly read. I am glad I read it even if I didn't love it all.

I didn't even read the description of this book before I read it, I just knew that it was Rhys Everly and the Cedarwood Beach series so I had to read it. I was so happy to read Charlie's story and Adam was a perfect addition to the crazy cast that is the Karaganis family. I loved the insecurities that Charlie and Adam both have to overcome with each other from past relationships. The way that the characters grow is just so heartwarming. I love the D/s dynamic between the two of them. The scenes are super steamy and I loved each and every one of them. I loved the return of so many of the previous characters and the introduction of Benji, maybe he'll get his own book someday. I can't wait to read the last book, I've been waiting for Luke to get his HEA. I absolutely recommend this book and this series.

First thing I have to say, I kind of want to be adopted in the big fat Greek Karagiannis family. Or at least be invited to one of their family dinners. Though, I admit, Adam’s Jewish family, the Kravitzs gives them a run for their money!
Adam and Charlie have a meet cute on a bus trip when flight are cancelled and they both need to get to Virginia to start their new jobs, they are instantly smitten with each other, but what they don’t know, is that they will be working together!
They (briefly) try to ignore their feelings, but they are just perfect for each other in too many ways to count!
Funny, romantic and steamy as hell, this book is a great addition to the wonderful Cedarwood Beach series!

This Cederwood book will have you laughing and smiling with this sweet romance. Charlie takes on a nursing job in the town that he grew up because of his Yaya’s health. She has a heart condition and Charlie wants to make sure she sees the towns doctor and also does what the doctor recommends.
Charlie is surprised on his first day of work that the doctor he will be working for is the young and handsome nephew of the original doctor that had lived in the town for years.
Adam takes over for his uncle’s practice. Both him and Charlie are drawn to each other but decide not to date since they are working together.
The two of them find it hard to keep their hands off each other. While getting to know each other seems easy, their lives are not without their troubles.
Guaranteed HEA

While a couple things didn't work for me such as the timeline - wow it got serious fast - there was a lot to like about it.
First the meet cute! So adorable and natural.
The characters, Charlie with his medical issues and sweet submissive and slightly chubby Adam. I liked how each had their heritage acknowledged and it acted as a natural part of them
I didn't necessarily love the kink, it didn't quite work for me. They fell very quickly into a D/s dynamic with few rules and expectations outlined. So while it was steamy those scenes didn't quite work for me. Just personal taste though.
It was great to be back in Cedarwood and quite a few of the previous mc's feature

I absolutely LOVED IT!!!! It was so sweet and amazing. I loved every single chqracter and the stoeyline and how the plot and the characters developed together. I had so much fun laighing as well. The chemistry, love, passion and intimacy between Adam and Charlie was just amazing and HOT AND STEAMY as well. It also goes to show that you sould not hide everything from the person you love, because you never know, they might just be the person to help save you. I also love the encorperation of Cursed Hearts, I love Wade and Caleb. Rhys Everly well done on another amazing book. I can not wait to see what happens next.

A meet-cute on a bus ride back home to Cedarwood Beach is the start of this HEA tale. The journey each man will take to get there is the story. Charlie and Adam each have their own insecurities to overcome. But, one is running from something in his past and the other needs to trust in himself and not feel overshadowed by his family. When Adam’s past comes calling and threatens to derail their budding relationship it will take a Yaya’s interference to make both men see that what they have is something special. Charlie and Adam are perfect counterparts for the other and I was so happy they found their HEA together. Looking forward to Lucas’s story next.

I liked this one a lot. Charlie and Adam were so sweet together. They met in a totally cute way and got to know each other before finding out they would be working together. Both of them had body issues that bothered them, and I loved how they weren't the perfect bodied buff guys. They were real. There wasn't a ton of angst, but there was a blip in things when Adam's past comes back to haunt him. I didn't really like that whole scene as it felt like it was just story for the sake of writing at times and it didn't seem true to Adam, but it worked out well and ended up exactly the way it should've. I like this family and I am very much looking forward to Luke's book.

I absolutely loved this book from the meet cute through the end. Charlie & Adam hit it off right away, even before they find out they'll be boss and employee. They both have things in their past that make it difficult to be in a relationship now, especially a workplace one, but they have trouble denying their attraction to each other. The Dom/sub aspects were done extremely well in this book. There was also the inclusion of both Charlie's Greek culture and Adam's Jewish culture that I loved. In all, this book showed that two men who are different can mesh well together and make things work.

Charlie and Adam met on a bus as flights were cancelled due to a winter storm. They hit it off at first glance and when they got to their destination they exchanged phone numbers. Charlie is a nurse who came home due to his grandmother’s health. Adam came to town to get away from a bad relationship who is also a doctor. When they saw each other again, Charlie was going to be working with him. The chemistry was great to see. There was a bit of angst due to Adam’s ex-boyfriend finding him, but it got resolved. Happily ever after for the 2 MCs.

Adam and Charlie have a wonderful meet-cute with a chance meeting on a bus, not knowing that where they’re headed, they’ll soon be working together. The attraction is instant, and despite their agreement to remain professional, it gets to a point where it’s too hard to ignore. Adam and Charlie just fit perfectly together! Helped along by some stormy weather and well-meaning family intervention, they slot nicely into a D/s relationship that feels right for them. Their story is fairly low in angst and drama, and leads to a satisfying HEA.

Two men who met up on a bus ride home to New jobsand not knowing they will be working closely together while getting through Hurricane Ana.
The storyline was running smoothly, but I found the kink was not necessary. Perhaps this is a first for me where people take their kink side into public spaces and that made me uncomfortable. Despite that, that the older Adam could find comfort in Charlie and his family after a bad history, was endearing.

Who knew what would happen after the meet cute on the bus would result in this sweet offering, I loved the quickness of how they both fell into something. I enjoyed the vulnerability shown and very delicious but sexy adult times, I was so upset when the balance was shaken and disappointed when they seemingly walked away but excited at the dramatic yet hilarious intervention. Happy to catch up briefly with previous characters and be back in Cedarwood Beach. I love how the author manages to blend saucy action and intriguing characters so seamlessly.

While I loved being back in Cedarwood Beach and meeting up with previous characters and while I loved the way Charlie and Adam met, the whole bus journey was super cute for sure, I’m just not sure that the kink side of things worked for me. Something just didn’t work for me and I’m not even sure what really!
Adam seemed a strong, powerful doctor, albeit running from his past but he still seemed confident even if he was a sub, but to see him when his ex showed up, it was unexpected.
I do love this series though, it the previous books were 5 stars instead of 4 for me.

A little confusing switching between characters with each chapter because the whole book was written from the 3rd person narrator point off view. Meaning the characters' voice and persona weren't defined or individualized well enough. But maybe that's just me.

And - did I miss it - but how did one son end up a person of color in an all white family? Even commenting at one point on his Greek temper. And how did that add to the plot?

Nevertheless, I was captivated by the very clever story and surprised by the twists and turns. So overall, it still rates as a good read.

This storyline had it all, well developed characters you couldn’t help but connect with, humour, some angst when the ex turns up, families, a meddling Yaya and both men have had past difficulties. Combustible chemistry that roared into an all consuming fire that neither Charlie or Adam could put out. This story captured my heart in one fell swoop.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book for my honest opinions of which I’m under no obligation to do so. I absolutely recommend this book.

I was looking forward to this book so was disappointed to only give it 3 stars..it was ok but I didn't love it.

I actually liked the back half of the book better than the first half. The idea is great, the characters are great but the communication between them is a little odd at the start considering it's kink related.

I enjoyed the older sub, younger dom and I guess I expected the 'storm' locked together to be a little longer, it seemed quite a brief section of the story.

This was a really sweet concept of two strangers meeting on a bus and falling in love when they end up in the same place. The chemistry was hot and I liked Adam and Charlie. Both men were extremely hurt from past relationships which caused major issues in their new fast-tracked relationship. There were elements I loved and elements I didn't love in this book however it was an overall enjoyable read.

Charlie meets Adam on his way to Cedarwood. They click but unfortunately their paths must come to an end Or do they? What happens when the person you meet on the bus turns out to be your employer You try to be professional & keep the distance till the storms come.

This was a very good story. I really liked the dynamic between Adam and Charlie. I personally haven't read the others in the series but I don't think that was a problem. The meddling family and crazy ex gave the story some great dynamics. I loved how Charlie could be sweet and caring but also harsh when Adam needed it. Their shared love of Cursed Hearts was adorable too.

Happiness is right in front of you.

MM contemporary D/s romance, book 4 in the series and a stand-alone read. Easy to read page-turner with a guaranteed HEA. Charlie is heading to his hometown for a six month stay and meets Adam on the bus. Charlie had been dreading the long bus journey till then. A great read, the first in the series that I've read but I'll be reading the others asap.

This couple kept me smiling!

The happiness, love and absolute acceptance expressed by this couple kept a smile on my face throughout the reading of this romance. Adam and Charlie are perfect for one another despite what others may think of their shared kinks, nerdy interests and their diehard fandom of Cursed Hearts! They both have equally loving and supportive families in the Karagiannis and Kravitz clans. I thoroughly enjoyed their journey to their happily ever after!
