This had great potential but didn’t deliver. It was so shallow and both characters were so one dimensional it hurt. If I had realized this was the same author who wrote Forever Asher, I wouldn’t have bothered. I’m probably going to put this author on my “authors to avoid” shelf because this and the other one were just badddddd.
Ezra is a student in college and a camboy who has been crushing on his drama professor, Isaac for a few years. Isaac has also been pining for Ezra and has been a subscriber of his channel long before Ezra was his student. He’s Ezra’s biggest fan on the site using the name CumJunkie and routinely purchasing his cum soaked boxers to smell while getting off to his videos. They start fucking in real life anonymously with Isaac wearing a kink hood that covers his face only leaving his mouth visible and using a deeper voice.
I thought this was going to be a kinky hot book that leads to them falling in love but the deception went on too long (3 months!) and the miscommunication killed it. This is a 175 page novella and at 65%, Isaac was still deceiving Ezra by not telling him who he was yet their relationship was becoming more than just sex in his eyes. To me, it was all sex and there was no relationship development at all but Ezra believed this guy could help him get over Isaac and Isaac had fallen in love with Ezra even though it was all physical and he never showed his face. Isaac even cooked dinner for Ezra with his kink hood on FFS and Ezra was still fucking other clients on the side while supposedly falling for his faceless hookup. It was beyond dumb and the sex scenes were mechanical AF because Ezra was filming it for his channel but it’s also hard to have passion when the guy you’re fucking is faceless.
Once Ezra finds out the truth, he’s mortified and feels used, as he should. There was a lot of miscommunication, groveling and sobbing after that but it all felt forced. Prior to being discovered, Isaac was this submissive who wanted to be dominated but after “I love you”, he’s suddenly topping Ezra and it made no sense. The epilogue was so incredibly cheesy it made me wish I had never wasted my time (2 hours) on this book. One of my worst reads this year for sure. 😂

3.1 stars. A cute, steamy take on the professor-student trope. Isaac Rivera is a theater professor who's been crushing on YourFan porn star Ezra Dixon long before he became his student. He's also Ezra's biggest fan, aka CumJunkie. Unbeknownst to him, Ezra also has a huge crush on him. Isaac's friend, Linc, thinks Isaac needs to get over his obsession so he messages Ezra on his behalf to ask to meet up. Isaac wears a face mask when they meet and of course they end up shooting some porn.
What starts off as a one-time thing quickly develops into regular porn shoots with each party becoming more involved. Isaac feels torn about his ongoing deception, while Ezra feels confused about his developing feelings for CumJunkie, as well as his unrequited (as far as he knows) feelings for his professor.
The sexy times are steamy and real intimacy develops over several weeks even though Isaac remains masked all the time. He cooks dinner after their shoots and they cuddle. I’m reviewing the audio edition. This is a fun teacher student story. Isaac is a professor who has been crushing on Your Fan porn star Ezra. Ezra becomes a student and there are events and issues that make the attraction and a relationship between these two questionable. I wish this had been longer. It is a quick story that tends to made it harder to tell the story with a history and all the emotions and things that make a in depth romance. I did enjoy it and I feel John York’s narration contributed to making the characters real.

A good idea gone wrong. This book is just strange. The word choices are often so weird I found myself laughing in the middle of serious or (supposedly) sexy scenes. The characters made no sense at all as people, not even the side characters. The suspiciously high rating has red flags waving here.

Wow, this book was hot. I'm absolutely loving this series by Rhys, and Your Only Fan tops the charts. You might think an adult star and his teacher with a secret crush who can’t show his face won't work, but Rhys made it work. The writing flows beautifully, and the side characters are great, as always. You'll be a fan of Isaac & Ezra as well.

This has been an interesting series. I don't normally read M-M, but the characters keep me coming back. There are lots of steamy scenes in this book. You get to catch up with previous characters in the series.

Ezra is crushing on his teacher. He is a student by day and an adult star by night. Isaac is his professor, and he is one of Ezra's biggest fans, but he doesn't say anything because of their roles at school. Isaac started conversing with and eventually hooking up with Ezra without him knowing who he was. This was a little weird. It was interesting how it started, but it seemed a little crazy how it continued for so long and that they were both so invested in it. I can see how it would be need content upload, but for it to go so long seemed off. It wasn't my favorite story by Rhys, but it wasn't awful either. I just preferred others by Rhys.

Your Only Fan by Rhys Everly is the story of Ezra, a college student, and Isaac, one of his college professors. Ezra is a porn star who videos his scenes and uploads them to a website that pays him for the number of views he gets as well as his tips and he has a hopeless crush on his World Theater professor, Isaac. Isaac also has a huge crush on Ezra and also follows him on his website but doesn’t let on that he likes or recognizes him. He also participates in auctions Ezra has for some of his “used” clothing. Neither one knows that they like and want a relationship with each other. One of Isaac’s friends posts on line asking Ezra if he would like to have a hook up. Since Isaac is such a big fan Ezra says yes and they make a video of it that he posts on his site. But Isaac is afraid of being found out, especially since he is a professor, so he wears a hood. Ezra’s fans really like the video and want more so they continue to have hook ups and do scenes. But they also learn about their real selves and that they like what they see. Ezra continues to have his crush on Isaac, unbeknownst to him that he is with him and Isaac is now too afraid that Ezra will hate him if he finds out who he really is. They continue to do scenes but as in all stories like this, Ezra eventually learns who his hook up is. The rest of the story is about what happens after this event. I gave this book a lower rating than I usually do for one of Mr. Everly’s books, mainly because the porn aspect was not something I really enjoyed. All of the scenes were detailed and well written but I kept wondering about when Isaac would be found out. I also would have liked to know more about of each of the characters’ backgrounds as there wasn’t much said about them and the story seemed a little rushed at the end. I did enjoy Isaac’s and Ezra’s friends as they were funny and added to the story and also gave good advice. If you like porn star/average person stories and the many differing scenes in them then I think you will like this book.

It was good but not as good as “me three” in the same series.
The whole idea was fun but it was missing something. For a story about sex work I would have love more diversity with the bedroom scenes. After the first one, they all felt too similar. Actually I don’t think Ezra’s fans would have liked the content with the same guy over few weeks if it’s always the same.
What really bugged me was the hood. I don’t get why Isaac would pick the zipper kind. I mean if it was just for the sex scenes fine, but once he starts cooking for Ezra and they have some pillow time after their recording sessions why not buy a better one with slits for his eyes and mouth? I get that it’s to hide his eyes but I just couldn’t picture him cooking and chatting with Ezra with this thing on the whole time…
I agree with a lot of reviews that the miscommunication trope was not great (it was not hard to get that Isaac was scared to confess his attraction to his student…) and I wish they didn’t spend 80% of the book not knowing the truth.
There were also some weird bits here and there, like a dirty talk scene that came out of nowhere or the “I am beautiful” one at the end that didn’t make much sense since Isaac didn’t say he felt ugly or anything…And when Linc barge in Isaac’s apartment with his bad news, Isaac doesn’t have the hood on but then he seems to have it on when Ezra arrives?
And the epilogue was too much for me: in just 4 months they created their company & put together a show already?? And a proposal so soon felt childish in my opinion
Oh and the numerous jabs toward Linc and his sexuality felt out of the blue and just like big arrows pointing to the next book. A shame I think
I’d stick recommend for a nice evening if you have KU though :)

A very warmhearted and sweet romance. Not a simple professor-student-romance but pepped up with a lot of subtle developments.
We have Isaac, professional and straight forward in his role as a professor. And we have student Ezra, who is very confident and comfortable in his life and successful as an internet star.
And both are circling around each other in their imaginations, feeling trapped in their roles and seemingly unable to escape from set boundaries.
The author created a smooth and sensitive atmosphere, a very fluently written storyline, letting the reader flow with the characters' thoughts, feelings and actions.
The writing full of empathy makes it easy for the reader to slip into the skin of both protagonists with their hopes, fears, anger and desires, and there is a lot of those.
While they slowly gravitating towards each other, there are a lot of steamy scenes, until they finally find towards their happy end.
I found it very touching that the author explained how this novel brought him out of a creative low and back to writing - and I can confirm that he came back with full passion and strength. This is a really beautiful story with a lot of dedication to each character. The most I loved the way the author described their soft minds, prepared, comfortable and controlled on the outside, but full of hopes and desires in the inside. I was so excited to see how they finally clicked together.
A wonderful read for all lovers of some steamy and emotional romance. Beautifully written! I received this book for free but leave a review freely and voluntarily because I definitely enjoyed reading it and can absolutely recommend it.

This was a great addition to the series and I really enjoyed it.
Ezra is paying for his education by filming X rated movies for a subscription-only website and unbeknownst to him his number one fan is his professor, Isaac, who he is madly crushing on. Ezra and Isaac are both pining for each other but because of their teacher/student relationship are too scared to do anything about it. That is until Isaac’s friend Linc intervenes on his behalf and Isaac has a way to live out his fantasies. He becomes part of Ezra’s X rated world but hides his identity, which is when the steamy fun and deceit begins.
As things seriously heat up between the two Isaac continues to withhold his identity from Ezra and the old saying ‘Oh what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.’ describes the story well and becomes very relevant when Isaac’s identity is found out. As the relationship and real feelings he and Ezra were developing falls apart I was left madly swiping left on my reader to see if they would be able to find their HEA.
The two MCs were adorable and their friends, who were always there to support and give their opinions, were wonderful additions to round things out. This easy to read story full of pining, steam, misunderstandings and hope is highly recommend.

I absolutely loved this story. This is the third book in the Proper Education series by Rhys Everly and honestly, it is my favorite so far. The chemistry between the MC's is on fire and so is the storyline. Linc, Isaac's best friend, was amazing as well. I can't wait for his story.

Neither of them thinks the other could be attracted to them, but in reality, Isaac has been Ezra's number one fan on his Your Only Fan porn page for over a year.

I'm not a fan of teacher/students relationships, but this one is different. The two both long for the other secretly. And the student is an online sex worker who the teacher had the hots for long before meeting him. In other words, I had to see where this was going.
And what did I find? Pure heat. And some mesmerizing emotions.
The forbidden romance element is well done, as of course the relationship is a no for them to be together. Not only is the teacher/student thing an obstacle, but Isaac doesn't want to come off as creepy so he hides his identity.
I love that Ezra falls for Isaac as both his teacher and his masked lover.

They're definitely good together with amazing chemistry. But the best part is the way they are both complex characters. Each has different sides to them. Mutual hidden attraction, teacher/student age-gap, online vs. real life persona are some of the themes you will see in this 3rd book of the “A Proper Education” series. Ezra is crushing hard on his college professor, Isaac, but feels like he will never be noticed by him. College student by day, online porn star by night Ezra is raking in the money to pay for school. Isaac is very aware of who Ezra is b/c before he became his student he was Ezra’s biggest fan on the site. However, he can’t jeopardize his career as a teacher. An anonymous hookup orchestrated by Isaac’s BFF turns into a regular thing of sorts. Isaac always covers his face with a hood and modulates his voice when he’s with Ezra though. Once the truth is revealed both men realize they’ve caught feelings, but can they move past the deceit? They both have to see the situation from each others perspective if there is hope to move forward. Luckily they each have friends that help open their eyes and make Ezra & Isaac face what they mean to each other. Looking forward to reading Linc’s story.

Ooooh....this book was SO good! This 3rd installment of the Proper Education series was HOT! Ezra is a college student with a very popular Only Fan page and unbeknownst to him, his #1 fan is his college professor, Isaac. Isaac is beside himself when he realizes his guilty pleasure is one of his students. It is both a blessing and a curse because it makes it very difficult to teach when your mind keeps going through porn scenes in your head. When a friend messages Ezra for Isaac and sets up a hookup, Isaac is forced to hide his identity with a mask...it's the only way they can be together. If Ezra ever found out his teacher was crushing on him, he'd freak out...right?? Hehehe...Rhys Everly definitely knows how to write a good story! The interactions between Ezra and Isaac are scorching hot and their chemistry makes their connection intense. Would things be the same if Isaac revealed his identity?? I encourage you to read this book to find out. You'll thank me later!

I'm not really into mm books where the MCs use terms like bussy, cumdump and yell things like, "Breed this whore's pussy!" I can handle a little dirty talk, especially since I do enjoy books with vocal alpha males, but I have to admit that I found this one a little cringey. I did finish it (with the help of skipping through parts here and there) and overall I did find the story entertaining, and I don't think it's fair to the book to give it a lower star rating just because I didn't like some of the conversations between the MCs... that's my hangup and not the books fault.
I think this was the first book I've read by this author, so based on that I don't know if I will read any more, but overall it was a quick and easy read with low angst... it just contained a little more dirty talk of the variety that I don't enjoy.

This is the third book in the Proper education series which can be read as a a stand alone. However reding the other books gives you more insight in mentioned side characters.
This is a high heat mm age gap teacher student with a twist book.
Isak Rivera is a teacher who has been a longtime fan of the 'Your fan' page of Ezra Dickson before he found him as Ezra Anderson in his classroom. Ezra has a longtime crush on his teacher, which seems hopeless.
The unexpected happens when they meet in person, without Ezra knowing Isak is his willing masked bed partner, to create fan page footage. This sizzling book provides us with a hfn/hea.
For the audiobook: John York did a 5* job in upping the heat level even more and giving the characters even more spice.
I was given an audiobook copy by the author.

Every book I’ve read in this series has been hot as 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 so if you don’t enjoy reading erotic MM romance you might want to skip this series. This one is probably my favorite so far. It still follows the theme of forbidden student/teacher relationship but the twist is that neither of them knows that. The student is a porn star and he doesn’t know that his teacher is a fan. The teacher became a fan long before he ever had him in a class.
Things get a bit complicated but it all works out in the end. I liked Isaac’s best friend, Linc, and was happy to learn that his story is coming up next. John York did another great job narrating the audiobook.

This is steamy, like lots and lots of steam which means very high heat levels.
Ezra is not only a university student but also a porn star with a very popular YourFan account. His teacher Isaac happens to be one of Ezra’s biggest fans, unbeknownst to Ezra
Add into the mix that they both have crushes on each other and things get interesting and rather complicated, especially when circumstances bring them together but Ezra is totally unaware he’s with Isaac.
I really enjoyed this take on the teacher/ student trope. It’s a very easy, quick low angst read with likeable main characters who get their longed for HEA without having to negotiate any major hurdles.

This book was a perfect length to get Ezra and Isaac's story told and done, with tons of incredible 💦steam and a bit of taboo quality due to the student-teacher dynamic. The prof is so confident in his work environment and chosen field and yet so insecure when it comes to reaching for what (and who) he wants in his private life.
As usual with his stories, the writing's good and this was probably my favorite in this Rhys Everly series thus far😉!

Your Only Fan is Book 3 in A Proper Education series. I found this book about Ezra, a college student working in porn, and Isaac, Ezra's teacher and secret fan to be enjoyable, hot and steamy, with low angst. Ezra and Isaac have no idea that they have a crush on each other. Because of circumstances they can't act on their feelings but Isaac finds a way to be with Ezra without him knowing that it's Isaac. Though I'm not sure how Ezra didn't recognize Isaac's voice in their last secret encounter when Isaac's face was uncovered. I enjoyed their connection and their willingness to let go when they were together. I recommend this book.

A professor and a student, each with what they think is an unrequited crush. A friend who wants to bring them together. Some really, really hot chemistry, plus some real feelings as well. It makes for an engrossing story, and it’s easy to like both Isaac and Ezra, even when their choices make you shake your head a little bit. There’s something fun about the implausibility of it all (masks, misunderstandings, hurt feelings when true identities are revealed) and as long as you don’t demand too much realism it’s easy to get caught up in.
