There is something extremely amazing that happens within a story when an author can capture the true meaning of what it means to surrender your cares to the Lord. The struggle that Daniel has to endure with unforgiveness was one that we can all relate to. The author wrote it in a way that you could feel Daniel's emotions, it was like you could see the pain as he struggled and feel the triumph and joy as he clung to God. Not only was the author able to show a picture of forgiveness, but she captured the picture of marriage in a way that would encourage those who are wondering how to love and be a blessing to their husbands. This author understand about praying for your marriage, she shows you how vital prayer is. There are so many awesome things about this book and this series. Highly and strongly recommend it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author for my honest review.

I would rate 'Beyond the Shadows, Book 3 in the Shadows Trilogy as a 3.5 star book on it's own.
I love that Lizzy and Daniel were able to work out many of their marital problems, and especially that Daniel found the strength, courage and determination to give up 'the bottle' and to work on being a good, reliable and dependable husband to Lizzy and father to Dillon. At this point, the story behind Daniel's life, his siblings and their relationship has left me unfulfilled, although I am happy that he was able to feel forgiveness in his heart for his Da and that he was able to visit his homeland and his extended family. Of the three books in the trilogy, I liked 'Facing the Shadows' the best. I found 'Beyond the Shadows' to be almost a continuing, long sermon, with some family fiction in between and hence, as a fiction, I would rate it as a 3.5. However, it's a good clean Christian story with some interesting characters, and worth the read, and when read as a trilogy, the reader does come to care about the characters and their lives.

Heartfelt story

I love Juliette Duncan's writing. It is so seldom that a book can be written with so much Christian language. Not only does the storyline keep you glued to your seat, but Juliette"s faith shines through in her writing. Not only do her characters grow in their faith, but I have felt God speaking to me through the scriptures used and Lizzy's strength and support for Daniel. I can't wait to find out what God had in store for Daniel and Lizzy.

This was a book that came such a long way from the beginning. There is so much growth in the characters and their situations. It was good to learn about Danny’s past and his family. I’m looking forward to learning more about them.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The Shadows Trilogy from Juliette Duncan isva well-written clean romance based on Christian principles. It's a series lots of depth and faith building. The characters are true to life and you get to know them well. The story is a moving and captivating one which is engaging till the end. The only pity is that the series is finished.

Beyond The Shadows

This was another great read about the life of a young man and his beliefs in the Greatest God of all. He helped him as he changed his life from a drunk to a man believing in the life of a Christian. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill

Beyond the Shadows, written by Juliette Duncan, is the third book in the series The Shadows Trilogy. This series is about Lizzy and Danny. I think this book was extremely emotional. It truly showed the reason for Grace through Jesus Christ throughout this story. My favorite character was Lizzy because she truly shows how a real person tends to feel. Lizzy wants to fix things. She wants to help Danny with his recovery from alcohol and fix his past. BUT thankfully she learns through it all that her faith has to increase and how each person has the opportunity to make the decision to believe on their own. A relationship with God is a personal choice, not forced on us nor does it just happen. Be ready to feel quite a bit of sadness throughout this story, yet with the underlying hope that Jesus will definitely be able to fix things, if the choices are made for Him. I was gifted this book in exchange for my honest review. I recommend this series.

I had to the honor to review this wonderful book for the author. Daniel has struggled since he stopped drinking. Without the help from Lizzy and his close friends like Paul he may of given in after the phone call from his brother. When Daniel and Lizzy go back to where Daniels family lives it's really hard for him. Seeing his family again was wonderful. He really struggles when he sees his dad for the first time in years. You will feel God working throughout this amazing book. This book deserves a higher rating than a 5 star.

This was a very emotional read. The characters are very real to life and their struggles are something that you or your best friend may be going through or have gone through in life. As Daniel struggles with Alcoholism and Lizzie loves and tries to help him it is easy to understand both of their struggles. The book kinda leaves you hanging at the end so plan on reading the next book in the series.

What a great ending to this series. Forgiveness!!! Ah what grace. This story evoked mixed emotions in me. Having been raised by alcoholics myself, it has been a tough read. However, the tone of all three stories has brought needed healing into my life. How can we not forgive those God has forgiven. Super lesson taught here. I loved this last story. Looking forward to the next series. Highly recommend. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I was gifted this book for an honest review.
This book is the 3rd in the series and has to be my mist favorite out if all 3.
This series is a definite must read
Jesus grace and love is in every chapter, and the power of forgiveness is an awesome thing seen in this book.
The author hit the points on alcoholism and so many times I found myself relating to the characters and their feelings.
If you haven't had the pleasure of reading this series you simply must.

Very good. Reminding me at all times God is in control and allowing God to work in our lives and others in His time.

The thing that was most evident in this book was realizing there are many times we try to control situations and people, when God is waiting for us to give him control. Being sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

Wonderful ending

Loved this story. Seeing how much Daniel has grown in the Lord was amazing. Juliette's writing makes you realize that you can also find this grace just by believing and having faith. Seems strange to learn about God in a romance novel. Something about her writing brings a peace and understanding that traditional preaching does not. Thank you Juliette.

I actually started reading this series with book 4. It was so fantastic that I had to get the others and start from the beginning. I'm so glad I did! If you want a really good, biblically sound, book, you really need to get this series. I can't recommend it highly enough! The only negative thing I can think of is that I wish they were a lot longer. But then again, because they are so short, even people who have trouble reading will be able to stick with it and will be blessed so much because they did. While I prefer longer books, I have to admit that this story is so good, I just didn't care. Each book can be read on its own. There are no cliffhangers. I wish I could give this series to everyone because I know they'd be as blessed as I was.
