An exciting story for young teens. Young Maddy is surprised after her Mother Sarah's wedding to Hank when her Mom tells her and her best friend Hannah to pack their bags. Maddy and Hannah get to go on the honeymoon with Sarah and Hank to beautiful Hawaii. They enjoy the beaches, the beautiful water, the waterslides and the excellent food, and even meeting young Lyndsay who just happens to be vacationing with her parents right next door to Maddy's family. Sounds like a wonderful vacation until things start going wrong, and the girls get the scare of their lives.

A short enjoyable story for young teens, and also mothers and grandmothers of those young teens.

Never quite what he seemed

The second book in the series was good, suspenseful but not too scary. It is a great series for teenage girls. Good friendship material and advice given. It's sometimes easy to want to get involved with issues that aren't really our business but I totally agreed with Sara's advice for the girls. Can't wait to finish the series with Trouble in Town to see what kind of trouble Maddy gets into this time. The poor girl Jair can't help herself

I purchased the preteen focused short Christian novel Problems in Paradise: The Madeleine Richards Box Set (The Madeleine Richards Series Book 2) by Juliette Duncan and this review was given freely.
Maddy and her best friend Hannah get to go along with Maddy's parents on their Hawaiian honeymoon. Vivid descriptions, a kidnapping, and espionage make this an interesting but danger filled short read.

I enjoyed this tween read and I've given it a rating of 4.5*. I voluntarily chose to review this. This is the 2nd in the Madeleine Richards series and Maddy is up to mischief again. There is some violence in this, but not gory. I liked how the girls tried to stay out of trouble but they wanted to help their new friend. I liked how it worked out, so now I'm on to #3 of this set which is "Trouble In Town".

GENRE: TWEEN FICTION—Book Two of the Madeleine Richards Series, “Problems in Paradise,” has the feel of one of my old favorite tween series, Babysitters’ Club only with Christian overtones. The episodic feel to the storyline was less noticeable in the first book of this series, but that is as it should be. From the first page, the characters are familiar, and it takes less time to warm up to the heroine. However, readers will be happy to find that, while Maddy has adjusted to the changes life has thrown at her, her adventurous spirit has not diminished. The next chapter in her life has her traveling to paradise. Against the lush, tropical setting of the island of Hawaii, and once again accompanied by her best friend, Hannah, Maddy’s natural nosiness leads her into an adventure that puts her faith to the test. Her struggle with her understanding of faith is realistic and handled wisely by the author. Young readers love series and will definitely be looking forward to the next book.

I had the honor to review this book for the author. This is try's amazing story. When Hank and Sarah take Maddy and Hannah on their honeymoon with them they are so excited. When the girls meet Lynsay they try to make friends with her because she looks so sad. When Lyndsay gets taken it is traumatic for everyone involved. You won't be able to stop reading this book.

While on a surprise trip, Maddy again finds herself in a predicament and calls out to God to help her. How like us!!! This is a good book and I truly enjoyed it. I received a copy from the author in exchange for a fair review. Highly recommend.
