* A thing that was really clever and something that bothered me was prequel is free which is normal so you would be inclined to buy the rest. Then book one was 4.99€ and this one also I think, but book 3 was 5.99€ and that's something that always stops me from buying books!! I find that too expensive for me personally and especially for an author I'm not very familiar with... But it is really clever because they all end with a cliffhanger so you need to pay more..*

It had a whole red flag over it, I knew who was behind it well before they did, like for real...?
I am a very slow person of mind so I need a lot of time to think and notice things and this was as clear as day...
I read a lot of mafia and I read a lot of good and a little less then good. Even though it gets 4 stars it doesn't go in my top of favorites or exceptionally good ones.

Michael let a few things lose that isn't something a Capo would normally do and it has nothing to do with falling in love or something like that.

Also the constant whining from Karma that she wants to go, but actually not really but everytime she sees him she wants to jump his bones.. FOR EFFIN REAL????!!!
I got a whiplash from her and I didn't really care for her, one moment she is a mature 19 year old the other time she is a horny childlike 19 year old...

I am so so so happy that I'm true with this series and I'm mourning my money..

Spoiler : she has a heartcondition and in these 3 books it isn't mentioned to Michael, like seriously that's a bit deal, something that needs to be told.. But if you don't you can write more and earn more.

- I don't think I've every been this cruel about a book, but it's got a lot to do with the pricing..!-

Don't take my review to heart, it's MY personal opinion!!

Mafia king/queen & War series

I received an advanced copy free.
:Note the only reason I’m leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is because this is a cliffhanger book: Laxmi’s books have not been cliffhangers in the past but all of a sudden here we are. I hate cliffhangers. But I love Laxmi’s books.
The characters and plots, settings and the stories are all so vividly well written. I highly suggest reading the BILLIONAIRES SERIES FIRST. You don’t need to, but it enriches the story here. Trust me. Billionaires fake wife SINCLAIR & SUMMER’S STORY and further on to 9+ books. But you really should read MAFIA HEIR (technically book 1) At least, BECAUSE it is the prologue to MAFIA KING book 2,
MICHAEL & KARMA’S STORY Mafia king is off to an amazing start. It frightened me at first because Michael makes several comments that he will kill Karma, soon or eventually but I know he won’t before creating alliances with ‘THE 7”. You must read the billionaires series to know about “THE 7” … you will get a more full picture. And by the time you are done with those 9 +books MAFIA SERIES might be complete. But neither here nor there.
Karma is Summer’s lil sis. She has medical issues, a heart condition and needs meds and a special protocol she hasn’t finished because is kidnapped my the Sovrano crime family, the mafia, the same mafia family that has been terrorizing the ladies who get with “THE 7” , the same mafia family who kidnapped and tortured “THE 7” when they were just young boys. Now they got Summer’s little sis Karma, and no one knows cause Michael is using karma’s phone to send messages to Summer pretending to be karma. Not to mention Summer is so focused on her new life so believes the messages she is getting. So basically Karma is on her own! No one is gonna help her, unless Michael’s enemies can also be her friend? (The enemy of my enemy is my friend? ) maybe ? Anyhow. Karma & Summer’s father got in deep with the mafia and owes them but before he died he had promised Karma to Michael Byron Domenico Sovrano the heir apparent to the Sovrano crime family. Initially Michael had intended to kill Karma because “THE 7” continues to dig deeper & deeper into who kidnapped and tortured them and has been Tormenting the ladies of “THE 7”. It was supposed to be a “message’ for them to back off. But when Michael MR. BROODY MCBROODY PANTS. Michael Sovrano who’s middle name is BYRON ), finds Karma reading his favorite (Broody MC broody Pants) author Lord Byron. So, instead Michael kidnaps her, in Karma is forced to marry Michael. And becomes THE MAFIA QUEEN. I’ve read MAFIA HEIR, MAFIA KING now I loved all books leading up to MAFIA QUEEN starting with the previous Billionaire series with “THE 7”. However, Mafia Queen had started with KARMA (fmc) escaping, Michael Byron Domenico Sovrano or “MIKA” (mmc) with his brother LUCA in a speed boat. In desperation to get away she hit Mika with the oar. (Not a spoiler) Then after they get away, Luca & karma hole up at a safe house, when karma hears Mika is “dead” she goes to his “funeral” only to discover there is a trap waiting for her & Luca. Luca escapes she is not so lucky. Well Karma endures some pretty horrific treatment after she is caught. There were some triggers for me. Dark is one thing, but A man who claims to love you, Carving a nasty word on your back in huge letters with a blade is something else! I get Karma thinks she deserves it, but when she begins to think it translates to “LOVE” I got a problem! the BODY CARVING is never brought up or mentioned ever again.. nor is there any apologies THE STORY LINE IS STILL REALLY GOOD. Until, we get to end of YET ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER !
The plot starts to resemble THE GODFATHER you know the part where, Michael Corleone marries Apollonia and she wants to learn to drive, so he buys her a car and is gonna teach her. (we know how that book ended) This is where the book ends ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER! (Again not a spoiler) LEADING TO BOOK 4 MAFIA WAR read today October 21st. Karma OBVIOUSLY survives the car bomb (not a spoiler alert cause the series would kinda be over if she didn’t so..). Here goes. Karma survived and now there is a war Michael want vengeance, blood & death, but first he must uncover the true culprit.. it’s not who you think. Unlikely alliances, are made. Karma still has not told Michael about her heart condition and now a new medial condition to add to it!

and I honestly think LAXMI did not handle karma’s heart condition properly since she has literally been in nonstop fight and survival mode literally daily for more than a month … honestly it must not really be a big deal since it has not been any problems even though she did not complete her medication or therapy protocols since being kidnapped .. and how literally is she not dead? From, everything she went through up to this point. Why give a character a medical problem if it’s not actually a problem at all. Seriously?
Some major continuity issues here. So anyhow, after we discovered the true culprit and the true enemy… new alliances are formed and karma & Michael have issues. But well… HEA???? NOT SURE… but story is STILL NOT OVER CAUSE KARMA HAS YET TO RETURN HOME OR TELL Her SISTER SUMMER EVERY THING SHE HAS BEEN THOUGH. WHAT LOVING SISTER DOES NOT CHECK ON KARMA AND REMIND HER THAT SHE NEEDS HER MEDS AND WHETHER OR NOT SHE COMPLETED HE PROTOCOL, OR NOT Summer must be much more superficial than we were lead to believe in the previous series WHAT KIND OF SISTER IS SUMMER ?? more continuity issues cause it should be exposed by now .. that karma was kidnapped and not completed her protocol and her life is in danger? Serious continuity issues again cause Michael should have figured it out too by now! And Summer should have seen Karma’s simple basic standoffish responses (given by Michael) using Karma’s phone … any sister would have reminded karma about her medical condition and therefore Michael would have discovered if Summer had left messages for Karma to take meds or why she didn’t show up to her doctors appointments for her protocol.. and Michael still hasn’t figured it out .. but apparently they don’t have the kind of relationship that Laxmi convinced us they had a super close relationship in previous series and previous books. So, there is that. And MAFIA WAR ends yet again without a conclusion! So I’ll have to wait for MAFIA CHRISTMAS.

if this is how LAXMI is gonna treat all books & stories from now on.I’M Gonna have to wait till all books are done in the series or I’m gonna have to need therapy to “get over” the cliffhanger hatred I have. Probably need to increase my therapy thanks Laxmi!
LAXMI Has never punished us before, don’t know why she thinks is ok to do so now? Just give us one full complete book at a dang! Time! Ok like KARMA & MIKA then SEB & THE DR.
AND pair off each of his brothers with a new book! Like your supposed to! Grrrrrr I hate having one book chopped up into parts I gotta wait for.
Not happy… but it is a good section of a book, yes I will continue to read ONLY because I’ve been invested in KARMA’S STORY FOR More than, 2 YEARS ! When I was first introduced to karma and Michael 9 books ago at the end of SUMMER & SINCLAIR’s story!

Ahhh it's so cringe!!! I don't like it but I still want to find out what happens. Also if you don't like third act breakups (which I don't) this isn't the series for you - there's been like seven so far.

She walks in beauty, like the night,
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright.

Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress, or softly lightens o’er her face,

Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear thru dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

"You may deny it, but everything in you yearns for my touch, for me to etch my sign of ownership into your skin, for me to tattoo the symbol of my possession onto you, to own you, to dominate you, as only I can."

I HATE THE ENDING!! I’m leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is because this is a cliffhanger book. The story was just starting to get good and then boom it ended. Still, I love the character development and their stories were amazing! I am so glad I waited to read this until after Mafia Queen was already released or I would be sad.

This is a simply wonderful read, great characters and story continued

As the story started it was a dramatic opening as the car they had just about to have a driving lesson in had exploded and she had been ejected from the car via an ejector seat Mikka had had installed to match his own as well as additional shielding in case of explosions.

Unfortunately, Karma had been seriously injured and had also lost a most important part of herself that had left her husband Mikka feeling distraught as he had nearly lost his wife and had also lost his youngest brother Xander along with another family member and now he had to discover who had attempted to kill his own.

As Karma is recovering from her injuries, she is also trying to keep her husband together but it is no mean feet as he blames himself for anything that happens to his brothers or wife, they are all that he cares for and he knows there are any one of the five families that would like to get their hands on his position if given the chance.

Mikka iss aware that his main achilleas heel is his wife especially as it has become obvious that he has fallen in love with her and this means that she is an easy target again for them to get him to neglect his own safety.

This is an action filled story with a great deal of soul searching and heartache and you are hoping that they can survive everything that is thrown at them, can they keep the family together and safe and strong.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

I received an ARC of this third installment of Michael and Karma's story. I absolutely loved it. There was so much action!. I kept trying to figure out who was responsible for the explosion and deaths. Without revealing much I can honestly say the culprit was last on my list. I loved how the relationship between Michael and Karma evolved and how love can change someone so much. I can't wait to read about Michael's brothers and how they find their forever loves.
Karma is such a sassy, stubborn woman who definitely is Michael's match. Don't wait and grab this book. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I read to relax, not be irritated. Is it too much to expect the author to finally end the story after 4 books and not stop mid thought and send us to read another book only to get one small para at the end of the next book still leaving this book unfinished. Well, this series won the most frustrating read I have ever read and it had tons of potential but the author just threw that away. Although I liked thought of Karma and Michael -mThe author put so much repetition of the same issues over 3 books, well 4 with the prequel. The acts the author threw in all the books by Michael especially, but Karma too completely ruined the story for me, they made me cringe and not want to read on and I certainly couldn’t root for the couple as they are made out to be too depraved and nuts. I had gotten to the point I just wanted to get through it. Who cuts the words Whore in the back of someone they love - mad or not. It’s well beyond the pale but then who kidnaps, torments, uses their knife to take someone’s virginity, someone he thinks he likes, yeah, no one! And, had I known I never would have bought. Those acts are just too far gone and I can not like or root for anyone who does that to someone who they like and now love, he carved WHORE on her back! And she didn’t complain!!!! Ridiculous and there were far too many such acts that seemed to be added for shock not for the reader’s enjoyment. She supposedly loved all the horrendously cruel things he did to her. What world does the author live in? And then there’s the repetition of the same nonsense over all three books. Then, if we finally thought we were getting some normalcy in book 3, the author doesn’t end the story. She stops mid thought and sends us to another story where you have to read another book just to get one chapter close to the end about this book and it still isn’t an ending! I can say this is the most frustrating story I have read. The author desperately needs to spend more time thinking what her readers want.

My husband is a made man, a villain, the boss of the Mafia... He stole me from my normal life and catapulted me into the center of the underworld. This was the third book in this series and unfortunately just not for me, I did find some interest in the story line so continued reading the series to get a conclusion only to be disappointed by being left out hanging to dry. This book was just a continuation of the hate sex between the two characters who have no chemistry, a childish Karma who at one stage thinks she's a gangsta wife with a gun to the continued over use of the words OMG, core, snicked, toes curl. The were also some weird time line issues that left questions, when Karma left him (for the 100th time) and went back to London she spent the first night crying in a hotel and within the next 24hours when Mica arrives there to get her she has already found and rented an apartment? And all the times Mica just arrives and takes her she never complains that she needs to go home to get anything? Also she is so close to her sister that when she comes back to London she doesn't even see her, doesn't even tell her she is married? All over this series was pretty cringey and would have been better if Mica would have dumped the teenager and moved on but I would have at least liked a conclusion at the end of this book.

I worked on the editing for this book so I may be biased. I think I might like this the best so far because it focuses on a relatively calm time between Karma and Mika and the developing relationship between them. Karma is making some friends and she’s beginning to see that Mika has some positive qualities (not many, in my opinion). She also gets to know the brothers better and forms a friendship with Xander, the sweetest of the brothers. Of course, it ends on another cliffhanger. Luckily for me, I didn’t have to wait to dive into Mafia War.

What an amazing conclusion to Michael and Karma's story. Like the previous books, they held my attention and never let go. I finished reading it in just one sitting. I loved seeing all that they went through that made them stronger and developed themselves better. Especially for Michael, you'll see how far he has gone and change into a family man. And express his love more freely now. You can't help but love him even more. This has been an amazing trilogy!

Great Conclusion, but it's not the end! Not to come in Christian's story (next in series)

Michael and Karma's story continues in this 3rd book in the series. (#1 is Mafia King, #2 Mafia Queen.). In this book, we get the HEA, yet this isn't the end of their story. Although Michael and Karma have gone back and forth from their rocky start and they have faced many dangers, they have finally admitted their love and need for each other and are together for good by the end of this book.

However, this book ends with a new development for them and Karma is still keeping her health issue a secret from everyone, including Michael. The next book in this series is "A Very Mafia Christmas" which is Christian's (the youngest Sovrano brother) and Aurora's story, but it also continues Michael's and Karma's story as well.

Of the 3 books so far, this was the most emotional; there were things that happened and certain scenes that had me tearing up, or at least choked up, a time or three. It was also the most violent; car bombs, attacks, bullets flying, mayhem, murder, bullet wounds, kidnapping....it all happens in this book, not necessarily in that order.

Yes, there are one or two typos, but they are very minor and easy to overlook. There is also one issue I had. Specifically at the last big shootout. If Michaels brothers could get there so quickly, why didn't he call his other soldiers there as well? (I'm sure he had more men available in his Mafia family besides his brothers.) The culprit behind all the attacks may leave you surprised, but it will make sense in the end. I have to admit, that I guessed who was behind it all, but only because I had already read subsequent books about the other brothers prior to reading Michael and Karma's story, so I knew some things before they happened in this story.

Michael's and Karma's struggles stem, not from there auspicious meet, but rather their intense love. Michael, struggles knowing she is his weakness and could be used as a weapon against him, so fears for her safety and sometimes questions bringing her into his dangerous world. Karma knows she loves Michael, admits it's his dark side that attracted her, but after some harrowing events where she feels helpless and fears losing him, she questions if she can live in that world, not sure she likes who she becomes. She has to decide if she's stayed with Micahel because she loves him or if it's because she can't say No to him (He is very persuasive and knows just how to push her buttons).

In the end, this was a great story and conclusion to Michael and Karen's "courtship". It had moments when I was moved to tears and any story that can make me feel real emotions is a five star in my book. Loved this one!

Mafia War is the fourth book in Laxmi Steele's Arranged Marriage series, and once again, the author doesn't disappoint her readers. At the end of Mafia Queen (book three in the series) Michael has finally realized that he is in love with Karma, even if he won't tell her so, and has bought her a Maserati so she could learn how to drive. Things have never been better for the couple.

Mafia War begins with no break in time, and it starts off with a BANG. Events have taken a catastrophic turn and those events have ramifications for every individual in the series. Although the title of the book is Mafia War, to me, the book is about all kinds of love - romantic love, familial love, love for oneself - and how and what each person will do for that love.

Michael, never one of the world's most emotionally healthy individuals, chooses to deal with familial love by deciding to pursue vengeance to the exclusion of all else. At the same time, Michael deals with romantic love by doing something so terrible and hurtful that it boggles the mind. Michael has to cope with his filial love for his father in the face of staggering betrayal. Michael has a lot on his mind.

Karma deals with self love - she is having health problems on a number of different fronts and is dealing with a huge betrayal calling her own romantic love into question. She also comes to the realization of what her relationship with Michael actually means for her. She makes the decision to put herself FIRST (probably one of the most healthy things she's ever done) and take the time to deal with the crises in her life.

The brothers deal with the loss of one and the return of another and how their familial love for eachother will stand when everyone is emotionally battered and at wits end. At the same time, they have to choose between love for their brother and respect for their Don.

Then we have Nonna. Nonna is steadfast in her love for her family and steps out of her subservient role to the head of the family. Nonna gives Karma some sharp-witted advice and helps Karma to understand her own role in the family and what it could mean to her.

Interwoven through all of these conflicts are the actual Mafia Wars. I count two - one between Michael's family and the Kane family, and the one that happens inside of Michael's family. The two wars are related, so maybe there's only one really big war. You decide.

Laxmi Steele again distinguishes herself as a master storyteller. I laughed and cried and had my heart torn out in reading this book. Like the rest of her books, I stayed up way too late and read it all in one sitting. I highly recommend it!

See ! He's right back to hurting her. Right when she needs him most. When she needed comfort and to be able to break down and lean on her husband he hurt her. Instead she had to stay strong and prove to him it was okay for him to stay with her and he still said fuck her and left.
He really doesn't love her. OMG! And she's so pathetic she's fighting to stay!!! uuuuugh
He said he don't want her now that the kids gone. He never did anything to show that he cared about her. WHYYY STAYY!!

This series literally had me so emotionally angry... I need a sweet romance after this lmao
Such a good story even though I absolutely hated Michael the whole time... I really loved the story. I couldn't set it down...

So let me complain about Michael for a bit more because this MF still did some shit to this girl...

I almost didn't finish after what he did with her especially with Larissa. IDC that it was a ploy - he cheated. argh. She just takes him back as soon as he shows up too! She Should've took that tracker right out as soon as she left his ass
Ploy or not he did it to hurt her. He never apologized about the shit he said in the hospital when she was mourning the loss of her child and he said now that the he didn't love her or need her anymore.

So how did JJ know where she was on that island? As far as anyone knew, he had cheated on her and left her. No one else knew they were on that island... so how the hell did he find her?

Also, the whole whore thing on her back. I absolutely hate it. She goes and adds his name. Like what will your kids think? Like she will NEVER be able to wear any bikini or anything at all around her kids.

This book tries to redeem Michael and although he comes for her after he broker her heart, he never truly gets redeemed in my eyes but he does start treating her right. I just don't think he could ever be redeemed.
When they were in the shoot out and he knew something was coming with her... even when he was bleeding out and kept going in and out of consciousness, he KNEW she was leaving him. That whole thing, him freaking out so afraid she was leaving him ... THAT was bitter sweet. Of course it didn't last long AND she still had the tracker... but still. His turn to get hurt right?

The fourth installment in the Arranged Marriage series, Mafia War, is a bit darker than the first two, with a lot more death and personal tragedy. Michael is still Capo of the family and they are dealing with the loss of Xander and the near-death of Karma. Knowing that his enemies are getting closer, Michael takes steps to ensure Karma's safety. At this point, Michael became a character I neither like nor respect with what he did to Karma. He became a cheater, a liar, and a cruel man, all in the name of keeping her safe. He is clueless enough to claim that he wasn't cheating with Larissa, he just made it look like he was so she would leave. Their enemies find them, there's a vicious gun battle, and the patriarch of the family is dead. Now that Michael is the Don, he intends to lead the organization down a different path. It's a HFN ending, with Christian and Aurora's story next. My feeling as I finished the book was that Michael hasn't quite groveled enough, nor shown enough kindness for Karma to gloss over the cruel things he did and said to her. I expect much better from him in the next book. When it boils down to it, Andy is the star of the show and it's the first time I've ever known a cat to outshine the humans!

Well that was both an explosive and heartbreaking start, the book started quite literally with a bang and the action did not let up. Unfortunately Karma was badly injured which had a devastating and long reaching affect on both Michael and Karma as well as the rest of the family. Who is out to kill them and who can they trust given the body blow the brothers have received. Michael is vulnerable now because of his feelings for Karma while also coming to terms with his losses. But all the brothers can do is dig in and prove to those that are out to get them not to underestimate the Sovrano Family even if one of those enemies is close to home,

Wow this book is one emotional read it was fast paced, well written and a fantastic conclusion to the trilogy. It ties up loose ends but also sets the scene for the rest of the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed these books. The characters are well written and the books draw you in until your immersed in all things Sovrano and all you can do is go for it and read all the books in the series!

Absolute Leseempfehlung. ❤️❤️❤️

After the last cliffhanger, which had taken me by surprise, I was anxiously waiting to see what had happened to Karma. Witty and at the same time sad the way the events unfolded. A lot of action, suspense and intrigue lay ahead of us. Karma once again demonstrates her inner strength by handling devastating situations. On the other hand, Michael finds himself in a strong struggle with himself, what is expected of him as Capo and what his heart dictates. Luckily, he has his brothers by his side who, although they have no power to change his decisions, distract him with the constant fights and rivalries between them. And we did not lack villains! I was amazed at the dynamics that unfolded and how the pieces fell into place. Action and more action! I love when things get ugly, and someone pulls a card out of their sleeve! We are already going downhill and there are more brothers who will be pushing forward. I look forward to the Christmas party.

The saga of Mika and Karma continues in yet another incredible book in this series. I have to say that part of this episode was just utterly heartbreaking. I didn't see that scenario coming. But, isn't that what makes L. Steele's books so addictive? The anticipation of what's coming? The unexpected? The steam? This author takes you into a world where the characters live hard and play hard. Where their word is law and non-followers be damned. But underneath this shady underworld that relishes in a gray area, there is a set of morals hiding in the shadows. There is a blinding strength, heat and chemistry this group of men apply to everything they do and everything they hold dear.
Please start at the beginning of this series. I mean, why take a taste of your favorite dessert when you can have a full serving? And always remember, if you want to read a book that you can't put down, you have to pick it up first.

Wow how do I put this……WTF!

No not him! The tears wouldn’t stop rolling down my cheeks throughout the book I am so cried out it is unreal and I am at work!

I am not an ARC reader as a result of Amazon politics and I am not a fan of mafia tropes but I will faithfully read these books by this amazing author every chance I get!

I don’t want to give too much of the plot away but this couple really takes you on a thrilling roller coaster ride and the ride is far from over!

Karma and Mika, two dark souls, that are like magnets drawn to each other even when a war breaks out between their enemy and rivals which could destroy their tumultuous love hate relationship they still persevere but will Karma accept the life that is awaiting her or will she leave her Capo for good?

A swoon worthy Dark Mafia Romance that will have you on the edge of your seat and one I can definitely recommend!

Now we await Christian and Aurora’s journey and more on Mika and Karma!

3.5 Stars.

Book 1 - 2.5 Stars.
Book 2 - 3 Stars.

Narrated in Dual POVs and continuation of book 2 which ends on No Cliffhanger. (But possibility for more as there are other books too.)

There was war, Michael trying to protect Karma at any cost and Karma's dilemma about being in Michael's life.
The thing that doesn't made sense was that Karma had a health issue, it appears important point to the story but it wasn't projected to that extent also, Michael who knows everything about her doesn't know about it! Unbelievable right.

"This…feeling of danger that
surrounds him is what I crave, and what I worry may consume me until I can’t differentiate right from wrong."

“You’re impossible!”
“And you are beautiful.”

Overall I enjoyed the series. The writing was good and engaging with so many secondary characters sharing different kind of equations with each other which was really fun to read.

Mafia War is book 3 in the Arranged Marriage Series. And it is damn good. Like all I can say is I KNEW it. I love how the story came full circle. I was devastated for the family and for Beauty aka Karma but I knew from the moment it happened who the culprit was. It has his slimy, no good for nothing name all over it. I loved the subtle hints, the underlying tone, the overall language of the story. I loved it all. You are not ready for what you are about to read but I guarantee if you love L. Steele reads you will not regret this one. It’s soooooo good. I loved every emotionally wrapped moment. Every tear I cried was from the bottom of my heart. Every thigh clenching moment was so worth it. Thank you L for the amazing read. You’re awesome! I received a free advanced copy to read and review.

Once again Ms Steele has given us an amazing read. I have loved this series and it has gone from strength to strength. The characters of Michael and Karma are both feisty and very determined but deep down they have a love for each other although they can be very stubborn at times and do silly things to hurt each other. This book shows us the real Michael and how much he truly loves Karma and the lengths he would go to in order to keep her safe. Some very passionate and emotional moments between Michael and Karma, and very raw at times makes you feel all the heartbreak and love. All the action, twists and turns will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. A must read series that I have enjoyed immensely and cannot wait to see what Ms Steele has in store in the future.

I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Why 3???

Why did she drag this book out into 3 parts? There was no need, no there really wasn't a need for 3 books involving these characters at all. It she had let it be one book and left out alot of the boring and childish dialog left the father as the bad guy it could have been a good book but she added too much unnecessary stuff. The female was hard headed and too childish 😴 which was not attractive. The capo was weak with everyone but her. He was not a good enough bad guy nor was he smart. It had too many part where they were trying to be lol, why? It wasn't that type of book. Who faces death like that and is too scared to say I love you. If they are they don't love you. I feel like these 3 were the very first 3 books she ever wrote which is confusing because another book in this series with JJ is so much better I gave it a 4.

This isn’t an ordinary romance novel and if it were rated on the romance story by itself I wouldn’t give it a very good rating but the backstory about the mafia is good with some really surprising twists and has kept me reading this series. The author does write a decent romance but I don’t care for how every single male and female character always have almost the exact same kind of relationship, the men are always rich and powerful and dominate and the women want to hate them but their bodies betray them and strange things the men say and do end up turning them on, the women even call the men the exact same thing “alphahole” and the sex scenes are explicitly described and repeated the same over and over throughout the book so that is why I don’t care for the romantic side of the story as much as the other parts of the story.

The moment we left Michael and Karma in book 3 we were already at the edge of our seats. You are reminded of the moment Michael had stolen her away to the moment that she realized that her life and heart belonged to her matching dark soulmate, Michael.
Steele continues this powerful world of light and dark, pain and pleasure, truth and betrayal. The characters are raw and believable. The ensnaring rollercoaster of highs and lows you are taken through as Karma gains strength physically, mentally, and eventually respect that she has earned. Can Michael live up to the man that she sees or will the dark monster within win and destroy their lives?
This is a gripping and abraded look at two lovers that apart were lost within themselves but together will take on the world.

>Book Review - Mafia Wars

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 3rd in the Arranged Marriage series and ends in an HEA. This book was hard to read. Mika, in an attempt to get Karma to leave him, cheats on her in front of her. Karma realizes what he is doing, but no way could I ever forgive him. Karma is taken away and then Mika goes after her. The real threat to the family is revealed, forcing Mika to have to take care of the threat once and for all. Karma balks at constantly being in danger. SHe just now realized this? After Karma leaves, again, they reunite.

>The way Mika and Karma change their minds is exhausting. I am glad they are all in now. Maybe another brother’s story will make more sense. This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars.
