I know this novella is part of a whole ass book series and reading it will definitely probably spoil it for me that's why I didn't search if it can be read as a standalone. Am I a genius or what? *smirks sarcastically*

A Very Mafia Christmas: Standalone Enemies to Lovers Holiday Romance (Arranged marriage series, book four) is hot as Hades. This is probably the spiciest book I have ever read and I absolutely loved it. Christian Sovrano is a intriguing man and compelling character. Dr. Aurora Garibaldi is the perfect match for the narcissistic Sovrano brother. Her tenacity is remarkable and her character's. I eat, sleep, and breathe into the pages of this fabulous read. All the books in this mafia world that L. Steele has created are highly addictive with incredible storylines and jaw dropping moments. This may be the best book yet in this series. Supporting characters play intricately weaved roles surrounded by the plot. The writing style is captivating and keeps you craving more. Absolutely love a good christmas book and this one sure is exquisite and just as good as Christmas shortbread cookies. I highly recommend reading this emotional roller coaster ride of a novel.

Mafia Christmas

I received an advanced copy free.

Well, written keeps you hanging on with baited breath and white knuckles.
I love Laxmi’s books. (she has been torturing us of late with cliffy’s)

This book fulfills a mostly completed story of CHRISTIAN & AURORA STORY, at least. However, it still has not cleared up or answered questions from previous 3 books regarding Karma & Michael or Karma & her sister Summer (from previous billionaires series) its a bit frustrating not to have those stories cleaned up and done.
With that said, The characters and plots, settings and the stories are all so vividly well written. With the exception of a lot of constantly reminding us of things we already know. I have more than 3 neurons firing in my brain. I do not need to be constantly reminded of what has already been revealed not only in the beginning of book 6 times but also previous books! I do not have the memories of a fish! I’m not DORY! KINK WARNING THIS IS A “DARK” MAFIA SERIES emphasis on the work “DARK”
YOU SHOULD BE WARNED there are a lot of FETISHIZING in this series. And they are not necessarily, light!
There is BDSM, HARD SPANKING, HUGE & ROUGH VIRGIN ANAL W/OUT LUBE, or proper consent for that matter. CONSENSUAL/ NON CONSENT (NON CONSENT FANTASY PLAY) FORCED ORGASM, AGGRESSIVE PLAY, a single use of BREATHE PLAY (without prior permission or consent) AND SHIBARI (The Japanese Art of tying knots and binding a person’s body for BDSM SEX PLAY). Now let me just say……IT WASN'T THAT BAD, however. I’m really not into any of this stuff so if your into it, IT is probably mild for you.. but for me I had a hard time reading it.(I have Personal issues with severe abuse.) by the way while we are discussing abuse . (All male characters in entire billionaires series has suffered abuse as children or teens) so apparently this is the reason for their “predilections for intense kink”. I had trouble with this because well, I am proof not all those who were abused physically or sexually as children or teens, Grew up being into “kink” but it does happen. And these series are heavy on the kink. Especially the DARK MAFIA series. I was able to read all books up to this one with relative ease but this one was kinda was difficult for me. I skipped a lot of the sex. (I love sex scenes hot & dirty.however, not this rough, not this intense, not this borderline aggressive) like I said above if you are into this stuff.. it’s probably actually very mild *for you* just not for me.

You don’t need to, have read the previous billionaires series, but it does enrich the stories in the Dark Mafia Billionaires series. Trust me. Billionaires fake wife SINCLAIR & SUMMER’S STORY and ALL “THE 7” on to 9+ books. But if you are not gonna read that series it’s fine. But you definitely need to read MAFIA HEIR (technically book 1) At least, BECAUSE it is the prologue to MAFIA KING, MAFIA QUEEN, then read MAFIA CHRISTMAS. In that order.
this review is for MAFIA CHRISTMAS it takes place after books 1-3 MICHAEL & KARMA’S STORY it continues their story, however this book is “mostly” about CHRISTIAN & AURORA’S story. After Karma & Michael’s loss & the family tragedy. They skipped Christmas. However to honor the memory of cthe loss certain “individuals” they decide to have a family Christmas vacation in the alps. But the mafia life never sleeps or vacations.
MR. BROODY MCBROODY PANTS #2 Christian Sovrano consigliere to Michael Savrono’s his brother. who’s is in deep mourning. Well, the whole family is in mourning but Christian even more so. Christian has forced mafia doctor, Aurora Garibaldi into seclusion (forced house arrest in his safe house) for her betrayal. He saved her life after she helped Karma escape Michael after he kidnapped her and forced her into marriage. Michael wanted her dead, However, Christian after saving her and taking responsibility for her, has no idea just how deep Aurora’s betrayal of the family truly runs. A mysterious man constant threatens her family but so has Christians family! Aurorajyst wants out, she wants away from all of them! Aurora needs to get away from Christian & the mafia but if she doesn’t play her cards right not only could she lose her heart, her virginity, and her family… she could also lose her life!
YET ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER !
we’re hear a continuation of Karma’s story but Karma still has not told Michael about her heart condition! I honestly think LAXMI FOR THE THIRD BOOK still has not handled karma’s heart condition properly since she has literally been in fight and survival mode literally daily for more than a year! Honestly it must not really be a big deal since she has not had any problems even though she did not complete her medication or therapy protocols since being kidnapped .. and how literally is she not dead? Thoughout everything she has gone through up to this point. Why give a character a medical problem and tell us how serious it is, if it’s not actually a problem at all. Seriously. Some major continuity issues here. So anyhow after we discovered the true culprit and the true enemy… new alliances are formed and karma & Michael still have issues. But well…there is still a HEA So far, but story is STILL NOT OVER CAUSE KARMA HAS YET TO RETURN HOME OR TELL HER SISTER SUMMER EVERY THING SHE HAS BEEN THOUGH AND WHILE IM ON IT, WHAT LOVING SISTER DOES NOT CHECK ON KARMA ..OR REMIND HER THAT SHE NEEDS HER MEDS? FIND OUT WHETHER OR NOT SHE COMPLETED HE PROTOCOL??? WHAT KIND OF SISTER IS SUMMER ?? more continuity issues cause after 4+ books it should be exposed by now! Karma was kidnapped and did completed her protocol and her life has been is serious danger nonstop for nearly a year! Serious continuity issues Michael should have figured it out and he should have seen Karma;s phone any sister would have been sending daily reminders about taking her medication and she has been without it for so many months she should be dead. Cause she was apparently practically on deaths door a year ago, the meds and protocol was supposed to save her life. But I think LAXMI HAS FORGOTTEN SHE STARTED THIS, AND HASN’T FINISHED IT. apparently Karma & Summer also do not have the kind of relationship Laxmi convinced us they had in previous series and previous books. So, there is that. And MAFIA CHRISTMAS ends with a start of a new SHOCKING SURPRISE CHARACTER “HERO” and new story of AXEL & THERESA
Guess I must wait for MAFIA CROWN coming November 2022. (if the world survives that is?)

if this is how LAXMI is gonna treat all books & stories from now on, then I ’m gonna Probably need to increase my therapy, thanks Laxmi!
LAXMI I’ve been invested in KARMA’S STORY FOR More than, 2 YEARS, going on 3 and I still don’t have answers! When I was first introduced to karma and Michael 11 books ago at the end of SUMMER & SINCLAIR’s story! The first book of the BILLIONAIRES SERIES 9 BOOKS THEN 4 BOOJS OF DARK MAFIA BILLIONAIRES and I still don’t have the answers I need! WHY ARE YOU PUNISHING /TORTURING US?

I loved the premise of this book… to save her family she HAS to marry the a**hole, dominant, mafia man. But their dynamic changes completely when they end up stuck in a snowy cabin for days.

So what happens when lies and betrayal threaten to end what they have been building??

This book was SPICY! Like a ton of spice and a ton of kinky spice (possible triggers: consensual non con, tying up, dum/sub)!

What I didn’t love is, for me, it took almost 30-40% to feel that intense chemistry between them. I felt bored in the beginning. And because this book is pretty big, it felt like it dragged a bit here and there.

I had not read the books that came before this one, and I wish I did as some BIG spoilers are talked about from books prior and I felt like I was missing major things.

Overall, if you like forced mafia marriage/kink/light suspense… this is a good one for that!

OMFG!! I had palpitations from the scenes in this book!! Christian and Aurora heats the pages with not only their banter but the explosive chemistry between them. Their story is filled with angst and overwhelming passion but danger lurks in the shadows. When Christians life is in danger, she has no choice but to reveal a secret she's kept from him. However, on their wedding day, when her life is in danger, a bigger secret is revealed that makes the brothers look to Nonna for answers. Another brilliant read from L.Steele and I have a feeling that as the series continues, we can expect more secrets and an even darker side to the Sovrano brothers.

Fun and filthy and a little fa la la la la. 😜
I enjoyed this one and man oh man was it spicy. Lots of spice. Mega spice. Did I mention spice?
Definitely check triggers on this one:
Bdsm
Consensual non-consent
Blood
Violence
Breath play

And more, I'm sure.

Only thing that got on my nerves was some of the dialogue. No one says things like "my heart shattered for only my brother kept it together." And what frown alpha male.calls his brother his soul mate?
No.
The cheese took away from an otherwise enjoyable story.

This book is all over the place. The characters are so fickle. They constantly went back and forth and it drove me crazy. I think this book could have been really great because I really liked the basic plot of the book. The character development wasn’t the best, but it did keep my interest to finish it. Overall, I did end up enjoying the book, but I would have liked the book to have more of a Christmas feel.

The names have been changed

I've read the previous 3 books and this sounds like book 4 only the names have been changed. The characters use the exact same words to describe what they are feeling and it is boring. I feel like I'm still reading Karma ans Michael's story.
I tried to stick it out but I can't. You shouldn't treat your readers this way its disrespectful and assuming.

This was my second book by the author. The first being the Christmas one night stand. It only got three stars for me, but was maybe 3.5 stars overall.
This one is only going to be two stars. There will absolutely be spoilers.

From the first chapter, I groaned because it was no different than the first book as far as the characters and domination (guy) and obedience (gal) bullcrap. And some of the stuff was literally the same. And the other book they were in the elevator making out and she was wrapped around his waist and she's like put me down. And he ended up dropping her on her ass. In this book, same thing, she's got her legs wrapped around him and he's supporting her and then she's like put me down and he lets her drop on her ass. And then both of them individually are like "I can't believe you let me fall!?"

I get that they're all in this world of being mafia bad guys type thing who know each other, but really? The characters are all alike. None of them have had any real difference overall.

I downloaded the 4 Christmas books or whatever they were because I like Christmas. After reading this one, I decided to read Mafia Crown because I want to know about the triplet. There was a blurb about it and a couple other books at the end of this book. And you know what? One of the other scenes a guy let a girl fall right in front of his face! There is just no originality in the books. I love it when I can get into a world of people and their lives, but not when every character is the same exact character.

I'm only nine chapters into the next book and I decided to come back and do my review on this one. Partially because I'm annoyed with the next book, because the "new" characters are just the same. Dominating and obedient. Oh, and in this book she was a virgin. Guess what? In the next book I'm reading she's also a virgin. And the entire 8th chapter repeats itself except for like three little paragraphs at the end of the second copy/paste.

And don't get me started on all the typos in these books. This book and the next one already. But this book they were terrible as well.

The story really isn't bad. But the characters are just awful because there is no difference between them. Some of my favorite authors have created these amazing worlds and with all of their people and all of their couples they have differences in them. Claire Kingsley and Brittney Sahin Do this amazingly well! And clearly have a better publisher who actually reads their book and fixes the errors. Unless it's just the fact that it's Kindle unlimited and printed books aren't the same. But I've never had that issue with the other authors. It's bad. Very bad.

Again, I'm reading the next book because I watched another story of the brother. They kind of left a cliffhanger on in that respect which is super annoying. And this author does not do a good job of wrapping anything up as far as storylines go. In this book we've got our two main characters and then suddenly at like chapter 60 something or whatever it is they've got a chapter from Karma. Wtf?! I don't care that she's pregnant! Wrap that into her own story someplace. Don't randomly put a chapter in somebody else's book with that information. Do an epilogue Do something. Shoot, maybe this book is a two. I really don't like the author's style at all. I'll stick with the three though because the story really does have potential And their overall story was interesting. It's just the characters that were so repetitive and bad.

Update: I read the synopsis blurbs again and it's not even accurate for the book. It's 30 days, not 60 for starters! Why do do many people like these books?! They're all the same! Ugh.

I did not like this book just as I didn’t like the first three. (M/f, monogamy, bondage and mild Dom/sub dynamic, spice 3.5/5)

The writing is bad. This book is literally a CARBON copy of the last couple story and interactions.

I don’t mean to be in the business of putting down authors, but I am in the business of giving my honest opinion and explaining why I have said opinion, so that is what I’m going to do. If you haven’t read this series, you might want to stop reading here because it isn’t my intention is to deter anyone from reading these books, but only to share and compare my thoughts with others that have read the series. If you have read them and want to compare thoughts, or are curious why I didn’t like these books… feel free to keep reading and feel free to tell me if you don’t agree with me- healthy debate is totally welcome!

This is the 4th book in the series- the first three books Mafia King, Mafia Queen, Mafia War featured the couple Michael and Karma. This book features his brother Christian and the young doctor Aurora. I expected the author to give these characters their own unique personalities, way of communicating, behaviours in and out of the bedroom, but that did not happen even a little. Other than Christian’s bondage kink, the author literally wrote the exact same characters and interactions between characters, but just called them different names. I’ve had this complain with other series with poor writing, so it doesn’t surprise me, but this was by far the worst case of it. What annoyed me the most was the way the 24 year old doctor FMC talked, which was identical to the 19 year old FMC from the previous three books in the series- example: the over use of statements like “how dare you?!” and “alphahole” (just to name a few).

This author kept signing checks that her writing didn’t cash. By this I mean, having his MMC make constant threats/promises of kinky punishments, dark sexual proclivities (wax play, needle play and other bdsm play), and rough sex and then never delivered. The MMC was slightly bossy but have otherwise they had vanilla sex with a small quick touch of bondage. Another thing that the author had the MMC in both couples do that annoyed the heck out of me is initiate sexual play of different sorts and then just stop for no reason and walk away from the FMC leaving her to act confused and wanton. I get that edging is a thing, but was not about purposeful edging- it was about her MMC’s grappling with this “overwhelming” fondness for the FMC’s and his fear of giving into these feelings and becoming weak. Both MMCs struggled with the same issue and it always seemed to surface just after he initiates sexual contact and it happens several times with both couples, which furthers my point that the characters are lacking any individuality.

The dialog between character was often pointless, lacked direction and was down right cheesy at times. I found myself constantly shaking my head and rolling my eyes.

The entire series had so many moments where I was questioning the authors thought process and writing abilities that I spent the majority of my time reading these books annoyed and on the cusp of giving up.

If you have read this, tell me if you agree or if I’m being to harsh.

Laxmi Steele has written another winner!

This is Christian and Aurora's story. Christian is still emotionally reeling from his twin's death and is completely unwilling to consider an edict from his grandmother that he must settle down as his brothers have. He proposes an arrangement to Aurora, whom he has been keeping "safe" from his brother Michael: fake marry me for 30 days and I'll let you go free. Aurora thinks this is a great idea - 30 days and she'll be able to get away from the man and his mob brothers! A fake marriage is just the solution - until Christian informs her that the marriage is going to be real in the bedroom. Aurora is a virgin and is terrified of this idea. She'll do anything to not to have sex with that dominant a-hole. Too bad she really kind of enjoys what he does to her...

Christian just wants to get Grandma off his back and get some no strings attached sex. Aurora is one sexy woman, he thinks, and she turns him on like crazy! Unfortunately for the alphahole, he falls into lust with Aurora and then into love with her, although he refuses to admit it. Aurora is falling into lust as well - Christian has put her touch with her inner submissive and her sexual kinks - and she loves it. And she's developing feelings for Christian, although it's a toss up between anger and frustration with his overbearingness and blockheadedness and admiration and tenderness for his softer side. Her head is a little mixed up. She's also keeping a major secret from him - and she's afraid that if she reveals it, Christian will hate her forever.

Christian's grandmother is the undisputed matriarch of the family. She's smarter, more ruthless and scarier than her mobster grandsons put together. She wants Christian and Aurora to marry - and she wants them to do it the traditional way - no sex before marriage. Too bad that Christian is playing games with Aurora to get her to himself during the family's Christmas trip and end up jingling each other's bells multiple times. Unfortunately, Grandma is also keeping a secret - and has been for years - and it could destroy the family.

Aurora's secret comes out and Christian, despite his feelings for her, kicks her out. Aurora is heartbroken. Christian leaped before he looked - and she didn't get a chance to explain herself. Everyone knows that Christian is being a total butt, and they're all hellbent on making sure that he knows it. All of his brothers take turns yelling at him to wake up and get Aurora back. Too bad Christian is too proud to listen to what's good for him.

As Aurora's secret comes out, Grandma's secret also comes out and it throws everyone and everything into chaos. The end of the story isn't really the end of the story - I can't wait for the next book to come out!!!!!

If you're into action, humor, drama, mafia stories, alphaholes, strong women, smart women, hot hot hot sex scenes, or any combination thereof - this book is for YOU!

The Sovrano crime family are still reeling from the death of Xander and the loss of Karma and Michael's (the Don) unborn child. Each of the brothers are handling their grief in their own way. But as Xander's twin, Christian chooses to hide, ignore and rationalize his pain and anger. His feelings of loss turn to reflections of childhood memories and questions of blame for not continuing to protect his brother when they got older. His actions and attitude are an offset of his inner turmoil.
Aurora's help in aiding Karma in her attempt to flee Michael, basically signed her death warrant. Even though she was placed in a no win situation, her assistance was considered an act of betrayal to the Don of the Cosa Nostra. When Michael declared as such, Christian stepped in to save her life. However, Aurora did not realize that his stepping in would be the beginning of her own personal hell. Now after keeping her basically a prisoner, he has decided she is to become his fake wife for 30 days!! Has he lost his mind? But Christian is not to be deterred. And what he is requiring from her is ridiculous! But then Christian threatens her with the one thing she cannot lose. He leaves her no choice.. but that doesn't mean she has to make it pleasant for him, does it?
Now, let me just say...if you haven't already read the previous books in this series, please do so. Reading this as a standalone will only take away from what is the absolute ultimate reading experience ever. This series is addictive, entrancing, explosive and unforgettable! This is a can't miss, must have series. Remember if you want to read a book that you can't put down, you have to pick it up first. Kudos to L. Steele for another mind blowing installment. Simply put... phenomenal

Not Feeling It *Small Spoilers*

I went into this book wanting a true dark mafia romance with a dash of Christmas, but that’s not what I got. I wanted more mafia action, and I didn’t find it to be very dark. Just smutty. Which is fine but it was so repetitive. This book could’ve been shorter. I felt like Aurora’s and Christian’s thoughts were repetitive and annoying. The inner thoughts dragged on and were just stating the same thing in different ways. When Christian tied her up the first time and we read what was going on in her head I was thinking “girl please just stop.” I started skimming. One thing I can’t stand is when a character is smart, like we’ve been told they are educated and seem to make good choices, then it doesn’t come across with their actions. Aurora is a doctor. Everybody has just been warned about the outside conditions, stay away from the pond, watch for wolfs, etc. Then she decides to act like a toddler and run off in unknown territory in the freezing cold and snow and ends up on the pond, falls in, and needs saving. Like girl! It was just so ignorant of her! And she tossed the ring which I also thought was immature. I didn’t enjoy her character at all. And Christian was no better. When he called her overweight I almost stopped reading. We know early on reading that her weight is a huge issue for her. Then he gives one basic apology and she proceeds to have sex with him like he didn’t just horribly insult and hurt her emotionally. I started skimming the story then to get to the end so I could find out who the mystery person was. Their relationship was all lust. I didn’t buy them being in love or even in like at all. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this book was not it for me.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Even though I edit these books, the author knows that I am not a fan of the BDSM themes. And if that were all there are to these books, I wouldn’t want to read them at all. Somehow, however, the author consistently takes characters I cannot stand and turns them into sympathetic people that I actually like.

Christian Sovrano lost his twin brother in the last book and still suffers the emotional damage. Dr. Aurora Garibaldi is his captive due to her actions in the previous book (she attempted to help Karma escape from Michael, and as a result, Michael threatened to kill her. Christian asked Michael to spare her.). Christian decides the solution is to marry Aurora, but instead of presenting this as a positive action, he decides to threaten her if she doesn’t agree. She will not submit willingly. Which leads us to the BDSM aspects of the story. I’ll skip those as not necessary to the plot.

Christian is transformed over the course of this book, going from a narcissistic, controlling jerk to a considerate, emotionally-available sweetheart. The journey to get him there is the meat of the story and I was impressed by the path that took him there. Once again, I am forced to recognize just how skilled L Steele is when writing the hero’s journey. She taps into emotions and brings the reader along for the ride. The emotional connections between all of the characters (not just Christian and Aurora) are vital to the fabric of this story and all subsequent and future stories involving the Sovranos. I’m not going to try to guess who comes next, but it will be interesting to learn more about each of the brothers.

This was a simply wonderful read, great characters and story plot continues

The Sovrano crime family are reeling from the loss of their brother Xander and also the loss of the child that Karma had been carrying when the car exploded, killing Xander and leaving his twin brother Christian as though his heart had been cut out.

Christian decides that in keeping the doctor safe from Michael’s wrath he will force her into a marriage, she has to agree with his term however she is smart enough to ensure that she also lays down a few rules of her own and Nonna that helps her out on this occasion.

Aurora finds as she spends more and more time with Christian and he shows her things about herself that she had not realised she needed to feel complete he begins to realise that for the first time she is the only woman he has ever wanted to spend more than one night with, he also gives a damn about what she thinks and how he makes her feel.

As the thirty days that he has bargained with her as his fake wife he realises that this will not be enough, he has lost one half of his heart when he lost Xander, he would not survive losing the other half if anything happened to Aurora.

Read this amazing read it is simply spectacular and once you begin you will not be able to put it down until you reach the end.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Christian Sovrano is reeling from the death of his twin, Xander, in a car explosion that also killed Karma and Don Michael's unborn baby. His Nonna is on Christian's back about getting married and settling down with a wife, just as his brothers have accomplished. Dr. Aurora Garibaldi owes him one, since he saved her when Michael tried to attack her for helping Karma escape. Without a word to Aurora, he claims that they are in love and going to be married in three weeks' time. It won't be difficult to fool Nonna with a fake engagement and wedding and it won't be long before they can either annul the marriage or get divorced. Aurora is frightened, yet stimulated by him, in every sense of the word and, even though she doesn't want to, she's steadily falling for him. Christian laughs at true love and knows it's not for him, so this fake marriage gives him the best of both worlds, since he's falling for her, as well. A scavenger hunt in the snow has them taking refuge in a cottage where their passion springs to life. Discovering shared proclivities for the dark side of sex is a surprise, but so satisfying. Aurora is hiding a secret that could bring death to the Sovrano's door, but it's Nonna's secret that is going to completely change their lives. The additional information that Nonna confesses constitutes a cliffhanger of massive proportions!

Absolute Leseempfehlung. ❤️❤️❤️

A Very Mafia Christmas is book 5 in the Arranged Marriage Series by L Steele and it’s even better than the first four. And I thought those were amazing. I can’t believe he’s gone it’s so much to take even for me…so for Christian and the others…my heart is broken. Did I ever expect Christian to actually have morals…nope. Did I expect him to take what he wanted without regard to what “Flower” Aurora wanted…yep. Did he? Not telling. I was pleasantly surprised with Christian and all his kinks and quirks. I think he surprises me the most out of all seven of them…or was their eight? Seven yeah seven. This book is ALOT. It’s quirky and romantic and passionate and…just everything. Sometimes all at once. I didn’t cry but I sure felt like I was gonna. With Christians grief being Theon out there. So raw and unhinged. Man it broke my heart. It was lovely to see how “Beauty” Karma and “Beast” Michael were handling everything as well. Don’t wait peeps…this series is sizzling…and if you get to attached to these guys you will be burned but the good thing is…the pin makes the pleasure so much sweeter! 2 1/2***. This is a dark-ish mafia romance that was just ok to me. It reads like a cheesy YA/NA new age mob story with explicit sex scenes of a dom/sub relationship that has no romantic substance. It's set at Christmas time with the family exchanging gifts and playing games all while cursing like drunken sailors.

The storyline is a continuation of earlier events that happened to other members of the mob familia and is part of a series. It has HEA and introduces the next books in the series.

The MC, Christian, is a mafioso Dom with a kinky bondage fetish and is also brooding over his twin's death. He threatens the FC with the murder of her family if she doesn't fake marry him.

The FC, Aurora, is a new doctor but acts like a teenage diva with lots of pouting, screaming, swearing and whining. She is really into her capturer, Chris, and his kink but pretends she's not. Her immature actions and mad dashes out in snow storms (yes, multiple times getting half frozen) are OTT. When she knees Chris in his privates during a sex scuffle and then busts his nose... I had enough. DNF at 50%.

Totally awesome! What a Christmas for Christian and Aurora!

Christian is the Consigliere for the Cosa Nostra and Michael is finally Don Sovrano after killing his father. After the car bomb killed Xander and his and Karma's baby. Christian locked up Aurora to keep Michael from killing her and because he wanted to get his family off his back. He blackmailed Aurora into marrying him to keep her family safe, but he also wanted her for himself. But it was supposed to be a real/fake marriage and they were going to get it annulled after thirty days. But will this fake marriage turn out the way he has planned it? His nonna also has her own plans for the Christmas getaway for the family thrown into the mix. There are so many plot twists and surprises in this book it will make your head spin and eventually blow your mind. I won't tell you anything more. And even though it has a cliff hanger, it is definitely worth the read. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Five Huge stars!

Christian is dealing with grief, the loss of his brother, it's heartbreaking to read about it. Aurora is caught in the mafia life and she can't get out. Christian want's a fake marriage to Aurora so he can get out the spotlight and she agrees. I absolutely loved the depths to which Aurora went, seeking out the most powerful person in their family, she got them good, but then again, it didn't exactly work out the way she was hoping it would. She's so, so very in control and she needs an escape to let go and Christian thinks he's the one that can give it to her. I loved her clinical mind at the most in opportune times, and also her explanation about using her body for his creativity. There is a lot of back and forth between this couple and I was very pleased with how their story played out. Talk about a twist at the end though! I absolutely can't wait to find out about him.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Christian and Aurora's love story is so sweet and funny and I can safely say he is my favorite Sovrano brother by far!

Their journey is tumultuous with how much of a spitfire Aurora is and how in denial Christian is regarding his feelings towards the feisty doctor!

It seems this Christmas getaway that Nonna planned is exactly what they all need but a unfortunate incident causes Aurora and Christian to be snowed in alone in the lodge and nearly freeze to death but it also gives them a chance to get to know each other better in and out of the bedroom!

The antics that they get up to and the camaraderie that they build not to mention the trust is very endearing but will a misunderstanding drive them apart for good and what about the twist that L. Steele brought in for goodness sake?

Now we await Mafia Crown with baited breath to find out if Axel really is as bad as he is going to be portrayed to be when it comes to the innocent florist Theresa........
