Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 A Captivating Thrill!
This fascinating ‘enemies to lovers’ paranormal romance novel is well written with interesting storylines that immediately grabbed my attention and captivated it the entire book. I loved the originality of the story, the character development and world building are fantastic. I adored the two lead characters, Layla and Sam, the secondary characters are just as amazing too. Layla comes from a family of vampire hunters, she and her sisters are out on their own and took a job, not only did they need the money, but they figured it would be a simple job. Except there is nothing simple about Sam Mason, he is no ordinary vampire and this is not the first time he has been hunted. But Layla is quite the force to be reckoned with, she does not stand down or give up and faces her challenges head on. The chemistry between these two was powerful, despite being enemies Layla can not help to be drawn to him. And the ever so confident Sam knows he will have her sooner than later. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a cleverly plotted story with plenty of drama, action, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn but, worth the wait, steamy romance. S.B. Alexander, thank you for this fantastic story and the wild ride, I am looking forward to what happens next for Layla and Sam, the rest of the crew too.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Blake Lockheart and Cecily Foster are talented narrators and voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that suited their character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Blake Lockheart brought out his inner alpha and played Sam’s role with perfection. Cecily Foster’s Layla was spot on too, grasping her strength and determination. Both were great playing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances the fantastic story to another level. Thank you for the terrific listen.
