Storm Warrior (The Weavers Circle Book 5) Kindle Edition
Hale Anderson
The Air Weaver.
He was the freaking Air Weaver. Not exactly what he expected when he got kidnapped by the pestilents, but Hale’s good rolling with the punches.
He can take a little time away from his pursuit of a doctorate in astrophysics to save the world.
Except that the final spell is poised to kill all the Weavers and their last hope lies with him finding his soul mate.
Hale doesn’t want a soul mate. He just wants Harrison.
Harrison William Davenport III
As the Keeper of the Heart of the Earth, Harrison must bring the final key to the Weavers if they’re to stop the pestilents.
He’s trained for this task his entire life. And he’s prepared to die just like his father did with the last generation of the Weavers.
But what if saving the world isn’t enough anymore?
What if the only thing that matters is saving Hale?
Storm Warrior is the final book in The Weavers Circle series. It includes fast-paced action, a dangerous cross-country roadtrip, dirty fun in tents, flying, bi-awakening sexy times, animal shenanigans, nerdy talk about the stars, jealousy, three crazy old ladies, magic, and a fight to save the world!

About the authors
New York Times Bestselling author Jocelynn Drake loves a good story, whether she is reading it or writing one of her own. Over the years, her stories have allowed her to explore space, talk to dragons, dodge bullets with assassins, hang with vampires, and fall in love again and again.
This former Kentucky girl has moved up, down, and across the U.S. with her husband. Recently, they’ve settled near the Rockies.
When she is not hammering away at her keyboard or curled up with a book, she can be found walking her dog Ace, or playing video games. She loves Bruce Wayne, Ezio Auditore, travel, tattoos, explosions, and fast cars.
She is the author of the urban fantasy series: The Dark Days series and the Asylum Tales. She has recently completed a gay romantic suspense series called The Exit Strategy about two assassins falling in love and trying to create a life together, as well as a MM paranormal romance series featuring a family of vampires.
She has co-authored with Rinda Elliot the following series: Unbreakable Bonds, Ward Security, Pineapple Grove, and the Weavers Circle. She has also co-authored with AJ Sherwood the Scales 'N Spells dragon series. She can be found at JocelynnDrake.com.
I write MM, MF, and MMF romances. Love is love! Some are paranormal, contemporary, and space opera. While all of my books are romantic and sexy, most lean toward erotic. But three of these books-Foretold, Forecast, and Foresworn are MF Young Adult novels. A complete trilogy that I'm rereleasing after getting my rights back from Harlequin Teen. Dweller on the Threshold is sexy, but not erotic. I love unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, I tried to separate my darker side with my humorous and romantic one. I published short fiction, but things really started happening when I gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, I love making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with my husband and two children.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2022I kept book 1 and book 2 of this series in a stack of books, not thinking they'd be very good, continually reading authors I was more familiar with.
When I finally began reading them, I realized that I really liked the story and the characters, and so had to continue with book 3.
All were quite good, the story enticing, the many exciting parts page turning, and many times i found myself unable to stop reading.
The authors are pretty good at creating well rounded characters that often engage the reader.
The descriptions about the romance and relationships were pretty good, although sometimes a bit too much. A reader can only take so many; I love you. I love you too. I love you. I love you too. I mean come on!
And... I'm not sure what it is with a lot of authors, especially female ones... They must think that the only thing all guys care about is sex. True, we tend to think about it often, but it's not like we are obsessed and controlled by it like some female authors seem to depict or think.
I mean, I'm not a prude or anything, and I don't mind reading about the specifics of love making between two characters in the middle of reading about their blossoming relationship and romance. But, too often I have to wade though pages and pages and sometimes chapters and chapters of play by play graphic descriptions of sex act after sex act. Oh My God... If I wanted to read porn I'd buy some other kind of book!!!!
But I digress... There are not too many sex scenes in books 1 to 3 so it didn't actually ruin the story, and most of the time it kind of enhanced reading about a blooming relationship.
I had previously thought that book 3 was the end of the series. But it wasn't until I was halfway through with book 3 that I realized the story could not end as there was too much of the story left to tell. So, I got what I thought was book 4. It however, turned out to be book 5, and I then had to buy book 4 in order to continue the story. And, by the time book 4 came in the mail, I'd already finished book 3 many days previous. So was excited to continue the story.
UNFORTUNATELY... I struggled to read and even complete book 4 of this series.
Like i said before, I'm not a prude. However, I am pretty traditional minded when it comes to sex and relationships. And although I wasn't bothered in the least by the racial mix of the relationships of the main characters. But, I do believe in Monogamy, because, I don't believe any other kind of permanent relationship actually will work.
So, I was bothered by the 3-way poly... whatever... relationship that became the main focus of the story of book 4. I read gay paranormal romance cause it's nice to briefly escape to another reality sometimes, and reading about 2 gay guys falling in love and being happy. I guess in a society that is still not very accepting and often degrading and oppressive against homosexuality, it's a also a nice escape from the reality of living as part of a minority that is still often viewed as repugnant.
Anyway... this 3 way relationship became the main ingredient of the story in this entire book! That, and the MANY chapters of play by play descriptive and graphic sex scenes... ruined this entire book for me.
I mean... how many times can you read chapter after chapter of sex scenes again and agin and again? There were a few exciting scenes in the book, where the story went back to the actual Weavers Circle story... but not enough to make it worth the time i had to spend wallowing through the story of this 3 way relationship and the constant sex scenes. I was extremely disappointed! Book 4 could have been half the size and been a much better story for it.
I haven't read all of book 5 yet, but so far it is very good and promises to be much better than book 4, thank goodness... and is the conclusion of the Weavers Circle story. Although because of how awful book 4 was, I'm not sure I'll read another book by these authors again.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2022I'm sad to see the end of this series!!!
The world that JD and RE created for the Weaver Brothers is nothing short of amazing.
Storm Warrior, the last book in the series, is the Air Weavers story. Hale was literally thrown into battle with little to no experience. His knowledge and strength of his powers unknown. All the while knowing that without finding his Soul Mate he might not survive the the war, or worse be the reason his Brothers don't survive.
Harrison has been preparing all his life to fight the pestilents along side with the Weavers. He is prepared to die saving the world. What he was not prepared for was falling for the Air Weaver.
If you have been enjoying this series, then buckle up for the final stance!
Great writing, great world building, great conclusion.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2022I can't lie, I'm really sad this series is done. I really enjoyed reading about all the Weavers and I thought the conflict was well carried all the way through. It wasn't overly complicated so the books were more about the character development than what they had to accomplish. I loved the final battle scene because you can really tell what the soul mates, especially Harrison, brought to the group that they didn't have before. Do I wish the bad guys had given them a wee bit more of a run for it? Sure, but it still worked.
All that being said, I did stumble a bit here and there. Hale was super adorable, but much like Harrison, I felt like he didn't quite get just how serious it all was, it wasn't a super big deal though. I also wrinkled my nose a bit at one part in particular, where Harrison is imagining and thinking about Hale and his feelings and the author said "Harrison's mind had traveled down some strange and dark path". Why would loving Hale be dark? I get it was a gay awakening / GFY situation, but still.
I liked the one year down the road epilogue. I got the closure I needed for all the characters. It was a good ending, and I don't feel like I have unresolved issues LOL I'd totally re read this series again in a year or two.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2022A fantastic ending to this wonderful series, it was a fight to the finish for the weavers and their mates. I strongly recommend reading the previous books first because of the overall arc of the series, it builds from book one all the way to the crescendo that is this story. The entire series is keeper-shelf worthy.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2023This book was amazing! Having read the previous books, i expected it to be and I was not disappointed! Hale and Harrison fit! They meshed so well together and it was sn amazing ending to a spectacular series
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2022What a journey this series was. Call this review 4.5 stars for this book. As a book & a series, it’s not exactly perfect but it’s still Grade A material. I’m glad I read both this book & finished the series, but I doubt l’ll read it again. Elliot & Drake are good storytellers but pestilents are relatively boring baddies. You read these stories for the relationships more than the plot.
As for this book, I’m not a fan of the Gay For You trope, so it dimmed my pleasure of the story a bit. (Just like my love of throuples boosted my pleasure in Tangled Warrior.) But Harrison & Hale do jive together gloriously. I’m glad they get their HEA.
I think my favorite part about this book was reading the authors’ take on Sedona. That’s always fun.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2022I wondered how this series was going to end. Well of course we hope for happily ever after, but you never know how it'll get there. This book started off with action right away. Hale and Harrison meet but they don't click right away. The Weavers have to make their way to the rift and Hale needs to find his soul mate.
Harrison and Hale are a bit awkward at first, then they are steamy. Their scenes together are pretty scorch.
The action is great, the story moves fast and keeps your attention. Good read!

4.0 out of 5 stars Grant finale
I've really enjoyed this series with the diverse cast of characters and abilities.
The finale finishes things off well even when at times I felt it was moving too quickly.
There weren't really any surprises to me, I knew how things would go so I didn't feel terribly emotionally connected to it but there are moments that tug on the heart strings.
I did want to shake a few of them and ask why they weren't asking certain questions!
The epilogues were lovely

5.0 out of 5 stars Sorry to see it end
This was one of my favorite series. The characters were will written and it was nice to see how they transitioned to life without the pall of saving the world hanging over them.

4.0 out of 5 stars great ending
This book was a fantastic way to end the series, I really enjoyed it. It was full of action from start to finish
