Hired: Hadley (The Foster Brothers Book 2) Kindle Edition
Sebastian LeClerc is richer than Midas. He’s also a grumpy a**hole, a playboy, and the world’s worst boss. At least, according to Hadley, who was crazy enough to take the job as Sebastian’s PA.
Big mistake. Huge.
Sebastian may look like Richard Gere, but he's nowhere near that charming. Everyone cowers and seeks cover when he's in the room. Hadley can't believe Sebastian's really that bad and that there has to be a reason for his bad attitude, but he seems to be the only one.
Except Sebastian does seem to appreciate Hadley, calling him his sunshine. And when something nice comes out of his mouth on occasion, Hadley’s heart is all aflutter.
Oh no.
It can’t be.
Has Hadley fallen for his boss?
Hired: Hadley is the second book in The Foster Brother series, a contemporary MM romance series about four men who chose to be brothers that can be read as stand alones. It has a grumpy billionaire boss, a sunshiney assistant, falling for the boss, hella hot chemistry, and a sweet guy who soaks up praise like a dying plant.

About the author
Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?
The short? You got it.
I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.
How was that?
A little more detail? Gotcha.
I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.
My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as they have a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.
Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2022I devoured this book in one sitting! It just pulled me in from the first page and I was flipping page after page just thoroughly enjoying Hadley and Sebastian's developing relationship! It started off with Hadley taking a temp job as Sebastian's PA. I loved the time spent with Hadley working for Sebastian, the chaos and disorder of the workplace that we was able to bring into order. And how Sebastian just grew more and more enamored with him as the days went along. They both had some walls built up, some trust issues to get past, but they just developed such a natural, honest respect and fondness for one another that I loved.
What I absolutely love about this author is her ability to develop characters so well that I feel like I've known them for years. It also completely strengthens the connection and bond between everyone. Not only did I feel such a strong connection between Hadley and Sebastian, both in and out of their smoking hot bedroom scenes, but the bond between the 4 foster brothers just continues to grow. While I absolutely adored Hadley and Sebastian's relationship, I equally loved the time spent between the 4 brothers. I cannot wait for Lagan's story next in this fantastic series!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2024Great book, but the author drug it out big time. And SPOILER ALERT, she hints the editor book that Hadley will be the CEO because he’s so competent but the author takes it in an entire new direction at the end that made zero sense at all, like at all. The ending was rushed, in would jabs rather had more time as a couple than a chapter or two.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2024This book is definitely a feel good story. A rags to riches, but in a definite real life setting. I loved the moves and development even with the moments that bring you back to the ugly side of life. Now it's time for the next brother. Until then.....
- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2022Honestly, the Foster brothers series is incredible!! The close relationship they have through hardship of growing up in a group home, their set up to help each other out and now slowly finding forever love. Sebastion and Hadley is just as beautiful together as Jaren and Reid. Finding someone who sees you for you and willing to accept your flaws and unafraid to let you know when you're wrong. The build up of the plotline was amazing, I love how I was carried on this wonderful love journey and I didn't feel left out or confused about where the story is going, something I enjoy about this book and the author too. It didn't feel rushed, no stone was left unturned. I look forward to Lagan story soon but I'm kinda upset about not seeing something for Norbin, or maybe I should wait and see!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2023When Hadley's friend and coworker gets sick, she begs him to cover her temp job so she doesn't lose it and the bonus that comes with it. Sebastian has been through 22 PAs in the 2 years he's been CEO, but Hadley soon makes himself indispensable. The two have great chemistry and a ton of sexual tension that they try, and eventually fail to resist. They are both adamant they are not looking for a relationship, but we all know how that ends ;)
This is probably my favorite of the series so far. I loved Sebastian. He's trying so hard to do everything for everyone, and never stops to think about what he wants. It's something that I can definitely relate to. Hadley comes barreling in, not phased by Sebastian's gruff exterior, and makes things so much easier for him. These two were so sweet together!
There is very little angst in this book. It's got plenty of heat, including lacy panties and spankings. There's some wonderful world building and some great descriptions. It was another light quick read and a great addition to the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2022It was okay, three and a half stars for me.
The story itself was really nice and I liked the characters, but I wasn't a fan of the writing.
I don't like it when the authors repeat themselves- for example after they started dating they talked how it wasn't because of money like three times. I understood it the first and even then it wasn't necessary because I just read how they fell in love with eachother and I know it wasn't because of the money.
Also maybe it's just me- I don't like it when the characters are overly emotional. I know there's
nothing wrong with crying but it didn't have to happen in every emotional scene. But maybe it's just me, I've been told I'm a little apathetic.
Well anyway, beside all that I really enjoyed this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very satisfying story
The theme of trauma from being in the social service system as a child is well explained and explored in this novel. The effect on Hadley was almost sufficient to turn him away from the happiness he was offered. The counterpoint of business owner Sebastian, who has multiple issues stemming from an unacknowledged disability to read people and situations and to organize his work life, makes a fascinating story. It all comes together in the end, with of course, love as the ultimate catalyst.

I liked this book better than the first one. Although I was expecting a grumpier boss, I like them really grumpy lol. Now I’ll move on to the next book

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it
I thought nothing could top Jaren and Reid's story but wow. This had everything: angst, enemy to lovers, steaming hot sexy scenes, gorgeous romance, acceptance, redemption, family, etc. I'll stop with the descriptors now!
Hadley and Sebastian are a lovely couple. Hadley seeing through Sebastian's grouchy layers to find the treasure of the man beneath, and Sebastian seeing Hadley for the considerate and lovely guy he is.
The author is so talented in setting the scene and getting so into the characters that you appreciate individually how special they all are.
I think this will be a series I'll go back to and read as they're amazing stories. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars surprisingly good
I read this book really fast! Sebastien and Hadley are great together, and the CEO/personal assistant classic setup wasn’t overdone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute favourite
I have enjoyed all the books about the wonderful Foster brothers and have reread them many times but Hadley and Sebastian’s story is my favourite. Absolutely recommended.
