    I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It's not what I expected from a Mysteries series but very much A.J. Sherwood's style.

    The characters are very relatable. Strong but flawed, good solid people.

    Intertwined with the mysteries is not only good people working together but family growth.

    Not only the relationship developing between Jon and Donovon, but the blending of Jon's family with Donovon's.

    Developing new family ties and healing old hurts is dealt with compassion mixed with just plain fun!

    The cases they are called in to investigate are crazy enough to be entertaining, but A.J. keeps them from being ridiculous

    M/M Established Relationship, Explicit. This is another great entry in the series. The mystery plot is strong. I like learning more about how Jon compensates for his ability to fry electronics. The new mage and anchor team we were introduced to is interesting. I'd love to learn more about their partnership and adjusting to sight problems. For me, the best thing about this novel was the realistic portrayal of Jon and Donovan's relationship. They have a huge fight but come out stronger. As Jon's dad says: "Sometimes you have to fight and argue. It's the only way to really know where you stand with the other person" (p. 100). The interesting mystery and the strong character development make this a worthwhile read.

    I'm still quite enjoying this series. Jon and Donovan are very good together, and I enjoy the secondary characters. I hope we get to see more of Archer and Estrella!

    There was a radio that I found strange / inconsistent, since it was in a place that was supposedly electronics-free for Jon. I'm also kind of surprised that Jon didn't decide to bring home six cats.

This installment starts off with a bang and does not lag, slow down, hit a speed bump, nada. So dang satisfying. The whole series has brought such unique dimension with our main characters, and to every single cast member. From the start with book one I was just captivated with Jon. He is just so unlike any other psychic. How he and Donovan evolve is perfection in each book. Donovan...just so amazing and the perfect balance to Jon. Their relationship is complex and deep and kind of amazing. The cases are engaging from page one, with action, enough rye humor, great cases/mysteries to solve and yeah, great steamy scenes. The tags are such a fun tease to start the book and when the book is over you are satisfied from start to finish. Read this book, read this series, and then read all of her wonderful books.

Since the first book of this series, I haven't felt this enthrallment for any book, it trapped me and I couldn't let go until reading it to discover what was going to happen.     I am not sure how I discovered AJ Sherwood’s psychic series, but am so joyously happy that I did. They are an automatic buy for me, without hesitation!

    It was a pleasure to read about Jon and Donovan’s next adventure. I love that each book shows the evolution of this couple blending their lives together with both work and love. We also get to see how their friends and families are faring as well. They are big on communication and are not perfect at it, but the maturity and deep love they have for one another helps their relationship flourish.

    No spoilers here - just a synopsis. We have people being people (righteous in their criminal behavior), we have the good guys trying to solve the crimes. We have family supporting family. We have bombs and Vegas. We have vehicles that aren’t electric. We have pets and declarations of love. There is never a dull moment as the story progresses, either action packed or making the relationship work trials. An excellent and worth addition to Jon and Donovan’s series. ❤️

    Jon is called to help with a bomb … in Las Vegas. It’s an emergency, so much so that Jon has to fly in a Faraday cage tucked into an EMP tent in a cargo plane, with Donovan’s fury held in abeyance.

    The FBI hope Jon can shut down the electronics on a motion sensitive bomb in a casino, and Jon can’t say “No” to being helpful, for anyone.

    There is a lot of discomfort and displacement, and times of realization and purpose. But, Jon has more support now - more family to lean on - and people who respect him, than ever before in his life.

    And it is finally sinking in.

    If you haven’t read the rest of this series, you need to start at the beginning. That said, one of my favourite things about this author is that they don’t make you sit through a reintroduction of all of the characters at the beginning of any of their books which are part of a series. It’s always interminable when authors do that, as I have a habit of rereading the previous books prior to the new one.

    This book is an excellent addition to the series, and Jon and Donovan are just as lovely as ever. I didn’t love that they were in a fight practically at the beginning of the book, but they still managed to be a good team in spite of it. It was nice to see Freeman again, but I missed the rest of the supporting team.

    I also loved the new characters introduced, particularly Archer. I hope he gets his own series as I would really appreciate some Ace rep in the romance genre. It would be lovely to spend some time with him and his dog, and Estrella too. Ace folks fall in love. It would be nice to read it.

    Highly recommend the book. You can’t go wrong with anything from this author.

    Funny and sweet and exciting as always. You might think you know Donovan and Jon by now but I learned that there is another layer to them altogether we didn't know yet. I'm very hopeful for a continuation of the series and am looking forward to reading more about our ghost busters as well ❤❤

    AJ has a wicked sense of humour which she feeds into each of the characters. When you read a book by AJ, you will never be disappointed, her talent for writing captivating characters and world is top notch. They are so detailed, funny and with characters and plots that feel real.

    This book was so good, it had all the drama that we’ve come to expect with Jon’s adventures. But this time not only was there drama and action from the case but an emotional rollercoaster between the two main characters.

    Donovan’s anger, hurt and frustration really come out the page at you, and with that you truly feel Jon’s guilt and anxiety over the argument. The secondary characters, the Dad’s (awwww) Archer (tell us more) grandparents (so cute) they just add another dimension and make it a complete picture.

    I can not express how much you need to read this book. It’s a beautifully funny and edge of your seat story. Read it!

    Also the way AJ talks about cats, is spoken as a true cat mum who knows the pure joys of having cats and the complete resignation that they will do as they please!
