Stone Goddess: a fish out of water urban fantasy (Isabella Hush Series Book 3) Kindle Edition
The stink of brimstone still clings to Isabella's skin after her escape from Hell. Fortunately, she brought an enchanted stone back that can wrestle her out from beneath Scottie's thumb. She'll just have to barter with a few dangerous immortals.
Her plan to shake down her ex takes her into an incubus's lair and deeper into the shadows. But what waits for her in the supernatural realm is dark. And it's deadly.
Bartering for her freedom will take so much more than a stone that holds the secret to a deadly power. Because there's only commodity that has any real value in the Shadow Bazaar.
And she can't live without it…
If Isabella Hush has already swept you away into a magical world of supernatural mystery, slip back into her skin with Stone Goddess.

About the Author
I used to have a black lab at my feet when I wrote, warming up the calves. She was a good girl. I miss her. Now it's just a cuppa tea keeping this old gal warm. Maybe someday though...
I love to read, and I love to get inside a character's skin. Writing stories is like reading for me, just much slower.
I call my little ditties, fiction to the left of mainstream because they never truly match up with one perfect genre. Still want a label? I got em. Urban Fantasy, Historical Fantasy, LitFic with dark themes, grimdark dystopian...But I really just write what I like, and you'll find all of those plus a few more mashed up in there somewhere.
So what will you find in my stories? Wounded people, really. Each one of them struggling their way to the light and peace and self acceptance.

About the author
Thea is a NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY Bestselling Author who writes action-packed urban fantasy with dark themes. She used to have a black lab at her feet when she wrote, warming up the calves. Now it's just a cuppa tea keeping her warm.
Whether she's finding ways to lure Isabella Hush into the Shadow Bazaar or throwing the switch on a new monster, her characters are usually deeply wounded individuals struggling for redemption. The romance is slow-burn but worth it, and the humor just might have a touch of Canadiana.
She's a huge fan of Patricia Briggs and Laurel K Hamilton and hopes you'll enjoy slipping into the skin of the characters she's created.

a special shout out to Brenda Levy Tate for the awesome author photo wherein I don't look too dog-lady crazy.

Voluntarily reviewing a copy from Booksprout
This is book three of the series. It works pretty well as a standalone, but would probably be better if read in order. Your call.
This is an urban fantasy story with a very dirty and gritty feel to it. The story is intriguing and quick paced, with an enjoyable storyline and a fascinating setting. The characters are also nicely done and our heroine in particular continues to grow with each story, which I really like. Overall, I enjoyed this book quite a bit and look forward to her next adventure.
Highly recommended.
