H M Clarke has been a Console Operator, an ICT Project Manager, Public Servant, Paper Shuffler, IT Help Desk nerd, and a medical biller and coder (the last being the most exciting.) Now she writes Fantasy and Science Fiction while secluded in her dragon's den surrounded by her large book collection.

She attended Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia, where she studied for a Bachelor of Science (Chem), and also picked up a Diploma in Project Management while working for the South Australian Department of Justice.

In her spare time, she likes to lay on the couch and watch TV, garden, draw, read, and tell ALL her family what wonderful human beings they are.

She keeps threatening to go out and get a real job (Cheesecake Test Taster sounds good) and intends to retire somewhere warm and dry – like the middle of the Simpson Desert. For the time being, however, she lives in Ohio and dreams about being warm…

Awesome series! Some repetitive wording and wish Kal/Dareene (spelled wrong my bad) was stronger in the ending books. Hope we have more that answers the tons of questions. Like one of her brother. Then more of their future and future kids, families. Why’s the magic weakened? What happened to other traitors, etc.

So, four stars for creativity and the ability to grab and hold my attention. I WANTED to stay in this world, to learn more. And that is one of two reasons for only four stars. The series feels rushed. So much is left undeveloped, and there even seems to be a story missing about some serpent in some caverns prior to the Pydarki mountain? I could see this turned into a movie series or limited series tv show. Again though, that's the feeling, you know, when a great book I'd taken to the screen but too much is left out? Kinda disappointing. Of more concern for me is the lack of editorship. The further you get in the series, the for grammatical and spelling errors you find. So the reading is not smooth. Please, H.M. Clark, hire a better pre launch team!
