Descendant: The Revelations of Oriceran (The Kacy Chronicles #1). WOW! Incredible read! Captivating characters. Attention-grabbing storyline. Better yet the first book in a multi-book series. If you love fantasy this is a must-read.
Ascendant: The Revelations of Oriceran (The Kacy Chronicles #2). AGAIN WOW! Another incredible read from author A.L. Knorr! After having read the kick-ass first book. Captivating characters. Attention-grabbing storyline. The second book in a multi-book series it picks up where the first book left off, in the middle of things. If you love fantasy this series is a must-read.
Combatant: The Revelations of Oriceran (The Kacy Chronicles #3). WOW! Another incredible read from author A.L. Knorr! After having read the first 2 kick-ass first books in this series this one was a must! Captivating characters. Attention-grabbing storyline. The third book in a multi-book series it picks up where the second book left off, in the middle of things. If you love fantasy this series is a must-read. As much as I want to read the conclusion I want the storyline to continue.
Transcendent: The Revelations of Oriceran (The Kacy Chronicles #4). WHAT AN INCREDIBLE RIDE this 4 book series has been! Another incredible book from author A.L. Knorr! After having read the first 3 kick-ass books in this series this one was a must! Captivating characters. Attention-grabbing storyline. The fourth and concluding book in a multi-book series it picks up where the third book left off, in the middle of things. If you love fantasy this series is a must-read. A.L. Knorr has moved into my list of favorite authors! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I enjoyed the vocal talents of narrator Mikael Naramore. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

What a fun story--interesting, intelligent characters, nice world-building, and good editing!

I enjoyed that nothing was overdone. Although there was an important dragon bond, it wasn't the focus of everything; though there was attraction, it didn't become cloying; the antagonists were plenty evil without overdramatic, gory, dragged-out detail. It just felt well-rounded overall.

As for offensive content, it was refreshingly lacking. I seem to remember a few expletives, but they were few, far between and mild. No sex, no religion hating, no bloody, graphic violence. Good job!

The series came to an end with a nice wrap-up. I did not feel anything important was left hanging, but can see the possibility for more books in the future.

Thank you for the great, time spent in a new world. I shall miss continuing there. I plan to look for more books by these authors.

It was a really good story, but there was a lot of little things I wanted to nitpick. Little inconsistencies and tiny plot holes.

One example is all of the modern English sayings that the fantasy world characters used. Sayings like "Don't jump the gun." When they don't even have guns. Jumping the gun originates from racing when they used a gun to signal the start of the race. There is no possible way that would become a common thing in a fantasy world where guns don't exist except in stories of Earth.
Another thing that bugged me was, how did wearing dresses become a necessary formal dress among a race of flying people?
I can see how dresses would exist or people who want to look fancy or robes for people who just want something simple to wear at home. But for women to be required to wear a dress when they're very culture should push away from dresses. The whole city is built around flying because they all have wings. It would have to be really awkward for anybody trying to fly around with a dress. Not only difficult trying to keep anyone from looking up the dress when they fly over them, but also in trying to maneuver properly with a dress flapping around.
There are a lot of other little things like this that bothered me, but the very fact that I finished all four books should show that I still quite enjoyed this series. This little and consistencies where far enough between them that I could get over one annoyance before noticing another. If there was too many too close together, I might have gotten annoyed enough to quit. I've been reading too many books and it doesn't take much to put me off of one nowadays.

I have read many of the Oricerin books and, so far, the books of The Revelations of Oriceran, are by far my absolute favorites. The quality of the writing is stellar! The characters are tremendously believable. It is my sincere hope that there will be many more books like this. The author, A. L. Knorr, that's a very bright future ahead of her. Thank you very much for the hard work that went into these books.

Jordan Kacy’s mother disappeared when Jordan was a toddler. When a locket that belonged to her mother, opens a portal to Oriceran, Jordan finds herself on an epic journey of self-discovery in a fantastical world. Reluctantly paired with a Strix named Sol, Jordan starts out trying to find a way to get home. By the end of the first novel, Jordan is starting to realize that Oriceran may actually be home. There are winged friends, elves, dragons, and frightening beasts. There are friendships and betrayals. There is action and intrigue. Oriceran and its inhabitants are fascinating. The first two installments set up many questions, and it’s interesting trying to figure out the answers. Plot twists keep you guessing. The third and fourth installments were action packed, quickly moving from one event to the other. This was a fun read and by the end, all of the plot lines were tied together and the questions answered. I definitely recommend the boxed set, because once you follow Jordan through the portal to Oriceran, you’re not going to want to stop reading until you get to the end of the series.

The series is so amazing that I read all four books in a couple of days. The characters are so well developed and realistic that it is difficult to realize that they are simply the author's imagination. Well done Ms. Knorr. Keep up the excellent writing.
