Death Sentence (Conjuring a Coroner Book 11) Kindle Edition
In truth, it’s the final resting place for beings the Arcane Congress deems too dangerous to exist. Those they can’t kill for fear of judgement and repercussions.
Warlocks, sorcerers, and supernatural beings who have strayed into the mortal realm. The Terminus doesn’t discriminate, it takes all, and those who pass its gates are never seen again.
Located on a remote island and guarded by deadly sentinels it is impregnable.
And breaking into it is the only way I’ll ever be free of the Summer Queen.
Join Kasey Chase in this action-packed heist that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2023Exciting and full of action. There’s never a dull moment with this world and all the series connected to it. I enjoyed the peek into the Fae and what’s going to happen next and how that’ll impact the other interconnected world. I can’t wait to see where things go from here.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2023It took a bit to figure out what to say in this review, mostly because Sam sort of became a temporary bad guy and led Kasey right along with his caper. Sort of a spoiler, but only sort of. There is a hugh jail break in the Arcane prison but no body could find how or where the prisoners had gone. Well to the immortal world via Sam. What was Sam thinking.
Well, we find out how much Samuel had to sacrifice for his freedom and how Kasey became even more involved than ever.
This new book expanded on Mr Stokes series and answers a slew of questions but at the same time created even more to add to his Stories. It became almost exciting to see all the charites were able to blend into a whole web to explain and to live the world he created. I really recommend not only this book but all his books for those that enjoy an epic fantasy endeavor. Thank you again for a fun epic adventure.
This book is a quick story to read and would be great to bring one away from this troubled world for a few hours of fun and adventure.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2023I have inhaled this series. Kasey and her cast of sidekicks just flow from one adventure to the next. I cannot wait for book 12. S C Stones knows how to keep you coming back for more.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2023What a cliff hanger! Loved book 11 but was very disappointed when it ended. What I didn’t like was there were so many grammatical errors, extra words in sentences that made no sense and gender (him for her, etc).
- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2023If you love urban fantasy with a dash of romance, you'll want to check out book 11, "Death Sentence" of the Conjuring a Coroner Series which came out earlier this year, but due to working on my son’s medical problems, I missed it. Today, I am catching up some more, and you are in for an exciting treat.
Kasey has a lot on her plate: her boyfriend, Noah, is the leader of the ADI, a secret organization that deals with supernatural threats, and they both owe a favor to the Summer Court that has put them both in danger. The Summer Queen wants him to retrieve something from The Terminus, a prison for the most powerful and evil beings in existence. Sounds like a suicide mission, right?
But before they can even attempt that, Kasey gets involved in another mystery: her friend Bishop asks for her help with a strange case that seems to be connected to Noah. And then she gets attacked by a mysterious enemy who won't stop until she's dead. Who is behind all this? And what does it have to do with Noah's past? Kasey and Noah have to fight for their lives as they face enemies from both worlds. Will they survive and complete the task for the Summer Queen? Or will they fall victim to a death sentence?
This book was amazing! I couldn't put it down. The action, the suspense, the romance, the humor, everything was perfect. The characters are so well-written and relatable, and the plot is full of twists and turns. I loved how Kasey and Noah's relationship developed and how they supported each other through thick and thin. But what does the future hold for them???
If you haven't read this series yet, you're missing out. It's one of the best urban fantasy series out there, with a unique magic system, a fascinating world-building, and a diverse cast of characters. You can start with Book 1, "Dying to Meet You," or jump right into Book 11, "Death Sentence". Either way, you won't regret it.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2023Death Sentence is book 11 in the action packed urban fantasy series Conjuring a Coroner from S.C. Stokes with Kacey Chase, and Sanders in the forefront this time and wait until you see where they are going. Bishop has pulled Kasey in on another case this time, a huge hole is going into NY city hall but why, who and what the heck did they want? As she questions the usual suspects, she finds no answers but is concerned with Sanders and where has he gone to. The Summer Queen, fae, Marion Strang, ADI, the Arcane Congress and so many more are involved in this capper. As Kasey puts two and two together the story quickly unfolds, and she is taken on a far reaching trek but as we know the journey is half the fun. This is urban fantasy at its best.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2023Stokes produces another fun trip into Faerie, around New York, and into places most deny even exist. All out favorites from this series make an appearance. A couple of characters that figure prominently in his other series of novels also rate a mention. Some of Kaseys problems get resolved, and that resolution provides the tension and adventure as Kasey romps through the city, Faerie, and places no one is supposed to be able to into or out of. You won't want to set the book aside until all is settled (though if Kasey's world ever gets settled there will be no need for more novels--sad). A host of details about several characters and situations are revealed that will draw you further and further in to Kasey's world, and perhaps have you hoping that her world will intersect more directly with the other series Stokes has created.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2023This series needs to be wrapped up. After 11 books, I am getting tired of the story. By the time the next book comes out I will have forgotten the characters and most of the background. Frankly, all 11 books could have been condensed into 2 or 3 books. Especially if you removed all the 1 or 2 sentence paragraphs in the books.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read.
Witches, warlocks, werewolves, vampires, dragons, fae, crime lords and a police department, all working together.
This would make a terrific tv series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read.
Book eleven of the Conjuring a Coroner series was an entertaining and enjoyable read. Every time Kasey thinks she has things sorted, another disaster or threat rears its head. How will they deal with Methuselah and Eternity, not to mention the Sidhe war. I look forward to reading book twelve.
