Being a Zombie stinks.

Bob is a Zombie who was just going about his business when a band of thieves stole his hand so that they could make a batch of Elfagra in the Upperworld.

While it's bad enough that they've stolen Bob's hand for such a purpose, it comes to the Zombie's attention that if the bad guys use the wrong technique it could cause a cosmic rift that will spell the real death of Bob...not just the long, drawn out one that's part of being a Zombie.

Modacio is a thief who made an enormous mistake on her last job that resulted in the Thieves Guild putting a high price on her head. Working with her partner in crime, and Ogre (one of the nice kinds) named Kone, she sets in place a plan to deliver a gift to the head of the Thieves Guild in exchange for having the bounty taken off her head. Unfortunately, this means she has to swipe the hand of a defenseless Zombie. But better his hand than her life!

Bob turns to his only real friend, a Dwarf named Perkder, and asks for help in getting his hand back. The two slap on disguises and begin a journey to the Upperworld in an attempt to stop the thieves before it's too late.

The land of Ononokin gets its influence as a hodgepodge from Monty Python, National Lampoon, Family Guy, Terry Pratchett, Discworld, Robert Asprin, Myth Adventures, Piers Anthony, Xanth, Douglas Adams, Harry Harrison, and countless other comedic mediums. Readers will find a new, fun, comedic fantasy world to play in. Wizards, magic, Dwarfs, Orcs, Ogres, Trolls, Gnomes, Halflings, Vampires, Zombies, Dragons, Gorgans, and more fill the vastness of Ononokin.

Kindle Unlimited, has the first 4 books, #1 Quest of Undoing #2 The Full Moon Event #3 Bob the Zombie #4 Gappy's Gadgets {the other not included is #5 The Kidnapped Prince which is not available on kindle unlimited at least not yet}. There are actually 2 writers, both with multiple, strange personalities. Worth the read, so much so that I have the 4 books separate but it's easier on the kindle app to read straight through, so that's how I went thru them again.

The Fate Quest (Tales From the Land of Ononokin .5) is available only through Logson's site, please note that is point 5 as in 1/2 not #5. Next is Saving Major Wiggles, out soonish.

NOTE: This book is not intended for kids. This book is not intended for those without a sense of humor, preferably warped. This book is not intened to offend those of the zombie persuasion nor is it intened to be speciest.

I'm so pleased I found the books about the land of Ononokin, with Bob the Zombie as the third of 4 already released, and luckily there are more on their way so this series is still growing :-)

Bob the depressed zombie is the main character but all characters are fun in their own right and the writing is so easy to read and great for relaxing after a tough day or week.

If you fancy a story about a land with Wizards and all sorts of supernatural races that will make you laugh then give this book a go. I have personally recommended to friends and members of my family who have loved it too :-)

Not as funny as expected. Picked this one up under Amazone's Humour category but I couldn't find the humour in it. Or is “Elfagra” as the “Willy-Pill” supposed to be the punch line?
A bit of a shame, as the ideas have potential but transferring actual social/political issues into a magical/mystical setting 1 to 1 doesn't really work for me. And you can give them oh so funny names (gnoogle,UnderNet), still doesn't do the trick.
The only highlight was Bob and his Zombiesm as it was a different kind, not your usual bitten and bite scenario. And maybe Kone, he was cute.

Who would have guessed that the body parts of a zombie is the main ingredient for a new boner medication?! Poor Bob has to find his missing piece before he ends up dying for real this time.

I love a good story from the land of Ononokin, and Bob is a great new addition. I love the subtle, and not so subtle jokes, but the story itself was just a lot of fun.

Great book

I loved the characters. you quickly get to know each one and understand how they react. The humor is subtle and not over the top stupidity and the innuendos are hilarious. I will recommend this one to my friend and Facebook world.

I've loved every one of the Ononokin Series. The world building and character creation is excellent and every story has had me glued to the page from beginning to end. The books are full of fun and humour and all with a very well thought up storyline.

Another great story. Absolutely love the characters - a nice light weight read. If you’re looking for gentle humour - this delivers.

I received a free copy of this eBook in exchange for an honest review. Bob the Zombie is a very funny book and often times it is laugh out loud funny. Bob lives in Underworld, Ononokin and lives a particularly sad life- zombies are a despised race in Underworld, mostly because they smell (they are dead and decomposing) and they tend to leave body parts behind. Also, zombies have started to be hunted as zombie parts are used in medicines.

This leads us to mention a couple of other characters we meet early on in the book; Kone, Orge but not the mean kind and Modacio, a human thief. Modacio is in trouble with the thief guild; however, she has a plan to get out of it. All she needs is a body part from a zombie to create a 'boner' medicine and of course, that zombie is Bob!

Another funny silly tale of mythical magical creatures being not quite magical or mythical.
Bob as human wanted to be a vampire but in a one in a million chance became a zombie instead. Zombie body parts claim a high bounty as potential viagra type tablets so when Bob's hand falls off and is collected by Kone the dumb ogre and his human bounty hunter friend/master (but an equal cos ogres are communists) and her dark halfling guard , it's a race against time for Bob and his totally not-dwarf-like dwarf friend to save the hand and Bob's life ....
thrilling and funny short story!
looking forward to Gappy's Gadgets!!!

This is a very funny book, about a zombie called "Bob", who is the nicest zombie you could come across, but also an unlucky one, in that some one needs part of his body parts to make a vigara eqivalent for the underworld, this adventure is brilliant and also the orc is so nice it is untrue, there is a wizard in the story as well as a halfling and some humans.

If you enjoy a good laugh this is a good book to read.
