Michael gets dumped by his boyfriend before Christmas. He drives around and ends.up being stuck so calls his best friend that he hasn't talked to in two years. He knows that Will can understand why he's nervous all alone on back roads at night. He wanted to talk until the tow truck shows, but Will takes him with him to company retreat.

Its another caper as Matt calls it as Michael and Will pretend to be boyfriends. It isn't that hard since the reason they haven't talked is because Michael has been in love with Will practically since met in college. He thought if he let him go then he could move on since Will's straight.

The weekend turns into a Christmas trip to Australia with Will's boss Angela and her family. They going to deal with business too. As the trip progress so does the fake relationship. I was so happy when it all came out in open. The fact they both love each other and always had was perfect. Really needed better communication. I'm just glad there was no 3rd act break up. Instead they figured it out and made things official.

Sex was hot for sure. Bi-awakening going on. Angela husband and daughters are in this one and somethings are explained about her too which was cool. Characters from book one make an appearance which was cool.

The premise was an overly used trope/series. There were no unexpected twists a love-to-hate antagonist or a nasty dysfunctional family. It was a nice bit of fluff.

When I read the blurb I was so excited for this book and it did not disappoint! This story is so sweet and was such a fun holiday read.

Micheal is having a terrible day and calls his best friend Will. He hasn’t talked to Will in two years but he is still his best friend. Micheal ghosted Will in hopes to stop being in love with him. (Surprise: it didn’t work) Micheal was hoping to be able to talk to Will until the tow truck arrived, he didn’t expect Will to come and pick him up.

Will misses Micheal so much so when Micheal calls he answers right away. Will can’t stand the thought of Micheal being stranded in the dark, on the side of a snowy road. He decides he needs to pick him up, and luckily Will is only 20 minutes away.

They end up at Will’s family work retreat and due to some confusion they are now pretending to date. Their friendship is adorable and their chemistry is off the charts. This book features a few tropes and they are all done really well. I will definitely be reading this book again.

I did receive a free ARC of this book but that did not influence my review.

I just want to say that I loved this story, but they weren't kidding about the slowburn. Man, I was dying for the first 60% of this book.

So we have Michael, a guy who is basically a pushover who found out right before Christmas that his boyfriend has wanted to break up with him for months. Hurt, he starts driving and breaks down on the side of the road. The first person he calls is his best friend that he ghosted two years ago, Will.

Will actually answers and goes to rescue him and brings him along to his company's holiday trip. This is the same company from The Christmas Deal. Will is still hurt about being ghosted but still cares for Michael. Will is also into guys but has not told anyone.

These two get even closer and fall in love even more.

Personally, I did not think that there was enough groveling from Michael but outside of that, they were perfect for each other.

Greg Boudreaux did an awesome job with the accent of Will, and I enjoyed the narration a lot.

I love that the second book in this series brings back Angela, the Boss - and we learn more about why she is how she is - her family, Seth and Logan, Jenna and family and Matt and Becky.
In this one, Michael gets a shock a few days before Christmas then ends up stranded in a dark road, car smoking.
He hasn't seen his best friend Will in two years, but that's the first person he calls.
And of course, despite his hurt, he runs to rescue Michael.
We end up with more of the "capers" as people assume they're together when Will drags Michael to the retreat whilst he waits for service.
This, like the previous one, is joyful, sweet, sexy, funny and emotional.
It's also glittering with Christmas mood.
