The bestselling author of HER and The Social Affair returns with a suspenseful tale of crime and passion about a charming sociopath and the criminologist hired to find his killer.

Jason McClure is one of the world's most skilled womanizers. A charming sociopath with a penchant for luxury, Jason is found naked in a dumpster, the only clue to his murder a crumpled photograph stuffed in his mouth.

Camile Brennan is a criminologist hired to consult with the Dallas Police Department on a single task: to find the person—or persons —responsible for McClure’s death.

Camile, who is equal parts beauty, brains, and narcissist, throws herself into the investigation, which takes a lascivious turn when she discovers photos of multiple women on Jason's laptop, each wearing one of the distinctive rings in the photo from Jason's mouth.

And just like that, she’s thrust front and center into Jason McClure’s debauched past, which is actually a relief, considering Camile’s own life is about to take a rocky turn.

Ringman is a sleek, fast-paced thriller guaranteed to leave even the most seasoned suspense reader breathless.

Britney King writes dynamic thrillers that tie your brain in knots! Ring Man is filled with dysfunctional characters that will keep you on the edge of your seat…and one charming character named Jimmy Chew.

Oliver is just out of college and living with his overbearing mother, Ellen. Overbearing is putting it lightly. She is a controlling bully. After a falling out over a girl, Ellen sends him to stay with his cousin Camile in Dallas. Ellen is a complete nutcase and Oliver isn’t very stable. He narrates part of the book so we hear a lot of his thoughts and some are rather grisly!

Camile is a consultant with the Dallas PD and although she’s smart, she doesn’t make great choices. She and Oliver haven’t seen each other since childhood. Things start uncomfortable. Oliver is strange and socially awkward. Who can blame him with a mother like Ellen? Once he settles in, his mother comes to Dallas and we see just how crazy this family is!

In the Prologue, a man is found dead. The man is Jason, a womanizer who had his own issues. The book centers around finding his killer and their motive. Camile and Oliver are linked to Jason through a sick and tangled web. Putting all the pieces of this toxic puzzle together could send you over the edge!

Thank you to Britney King and Enticing Journey Book Promotions for this gifted ARC. All opinions are my own.

Favorite Quotes:

The truth is, once time is lost, it’s gone. Time is the most nonrenewable resource we have in this life. It should not be wasted.

That poor girl. She doesn't realize it yet, but she's a trophy for him to display, like a big game hunter who collected the heads of his kills.

You can’t cling to a mistake just because you spent a lot of time making it...

I refuse to take the bait. The surest way to prove your guilt is to start defending yourself. So I don’t. I just let people talk until the gossip dies down and the next unimportant private matter catches their attention.

My Review:

Another itchy, twisty, original, and unpredictable tale from the evil genius of Britney King. I continue to be awed and captivated by her craft while coveting her clever word voodoo. She always manages to completely inhabit each well-contrived character while keeping me on edge and continually guessing at the outcome. This unnerving tale was written from multiple POVs and I was so fully slotted in, I felt as if I were personally participating in these vexatious events through several different pairs of eyes.

I swear that Britney King never ceases to surprise me and she just did it again with Ringman! This one felt different from her usual style, and it has a very strong procedural aspect to it that I absolutely loved. There is a large number of viewpoints, but the book is never confusing, and I was able to keep up without any problems. I probably enjoyed Camile's viewpoint the most, and I loved that she was a criminologist. And of course, we have Oliver who has his own agenda for staying at his cousin Camile's house. This was basically a two-for-one mystery which was a huge plus.

This was a super speedy read as all of King's books are, and there were some twists that I really didn't see coming at all. I loved the last chapter of the book especially, and it was pretty dang satisfying although I'm not sure I felt the same way about the actual whodunnit. However, it was surprising, and I will take it! There was one odd plot thing where a character was getting beaten up at the end of one chapter then we skip to another viewpoint and when we come back, they all of a sudden had a bat. No idea where that came from but besides that, I loved Ringman just as much as all of King's other books and I really hope she gives us another procedural!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Oh my goodness, Britney King, what did I just read?! Ringman is another intense, page turning adventure that is difficult to put down. As with all of this authors books, expect the unexpected, expect it to go where you think it won't go, expect a thrill ride.

We begin with the discovery of a dead body. A man is found in a dumpster outside an animal shelter. There is a photo of 10 rings on the body, and we soon learn that his name is Jason McClure, and many people may have wanted him dead. Enter Camillie, a criminologist that is called in to assist with the investigation. She makes some pretty questionable decisions and doesn't always stay on the right side of the law. And then we have her cousin, Oliver. Oliver has just come to stay with her and finds himself helping. He is escaping an incident and home and is angry, and very unstable.

It is wild and crazy investigation, with plenty of shocking turns. You will want to grab this one, and it is available on Kindle Unlimited so there are no excuses. Out now, thanks to Britney and Enticing Journey Promotions for sending me an advanced copy to read and having me on the book tour once again.

I have been itching for a new release from Britney King, the Queen of psychological thrillers. Enter “Ring Man” and I’ve found my fix!

Thoughts: this book has a lot more characters than usual - keep a list of characters. I found this book very humorous - more so than her other books. Not my favorite but still worth the read.

Matthew Hannah is almost done work for the night at his job at an animal shelter, but when he’s emptying the trash into the dumpster outside he stumbles upon a dead body.

Jason McClure, dubbed “Ringman,” has been tortured, killed, then dumped here. And there’s no short list of suspects when it comes to this wealthy womanizer’s murder. His ex-wife, his mistress, or maybe one of his other mistresses, perhaps a business partner, or his assistant, maybe even his daughter? All of them make the perfect suspect.

Camile, a criminologist, is tasked with figuring out how Jason ended up here.
Then there’s Oliver, Camille’s cousin, who was just kicked out of his mother’s house in Vermont - for reasons unknown -and has moved to Dallas to live with Camile. He’s an odd one for sure. Someone you better look out for.

In typical BK style, this book has it all: suspense, mystery, surprise ending, messed up characters doing messed up things. Just when you think you’ve figured this story out, you soon learn you were so wrong.

I couldn’t put this book down and finished in a day. Each chapter gives you just enough information that you’re left begging for more but still equally confused as hell. And then the end comes and your mind is blown. It’s really that simple. Just another 5 star read! 💋

Every time I see this authors name I think back to the first book I’ve read by her, Bedrock, which I absolutely loved.

Ring Man is a great read. It sucked me in straight away and kept my attention all the way through.

Great storyline with some likeable albeit dysfunctional characters.

I’m already looking forward to seeing what this author brings to us next.

The opening scene grabs the reader by the throat and is immediately engaging. A male body is found in a dumpster with a photo stuffed in his mouth. After some investigating, it's determined that the victim, Jason McClure, is a charming, manipulative sociopath who is quite the ladies' man.

Criminologist Camile Brennan is tasked with finding McClure's killer, but her own personal problems and an unwelcome house guest constantly get in her way. However, when she finds the victim's laptop and discovers pictures of women wearing one of the distinctive rings she saw in the crime scene photograph, she surmises that the rings must be given to his conquests as some sort of sadistic branding or ownership.

Filled with her trademark twists and turns, RINGMAN will publish January 19, 2023. Thank you to Britney King and Enticing Journey Promotions for the early copy.

Thank you kindly to Enticing Journey Book Promotions and Britney King for the eARC!

I loved the ominous feel to King’s prose and the dual first-person POVs provided an eerie glimpse into the troubled minds of our MCs as well as some of the potential suspects.

Oliver was definitely an interesting character—those mommy issues, I’ll tell ya—but Camile was my favorite. A narcissist through and through, yes, but she was a strong female lead and her narrative was both provocative and tenacious.

This was a quick read that ties together nicely in the end! 𝑹𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒎𝒂𝒏 pubs January 19, 2023!

I can't get enough of King's books so this was a no-brainer for me! Working at an animal shelter, Matthew finds a dead body in a dumpster with a photo of 10 rings in his mouth, broken fingers and toes. Oliver goes to stay with his cousin Camile as his mother has recommended. What do these things have in common? Yikes! It's a fabulous twisted story as we have come to expect from King! Killers, cheaters, liars, creepers...and the list goes on! I inhaled this as I've done with all her books as you never know what to expect...at the very least--genius! I may never recover!

Another exciting one from Britney King!! I never know exactly what to expect when starting her books, but I've never been disappointed.

She has a way of sucking you in right off the bat and making the real world dissolve into the background.

Ringman was a rollercoaster ride of suspense and excitement. Kept me on the edge of my seat right up until the end. And it was an ending I was quiet expecting.

They are all fun to read and include the usual messed up people we all know and love in King’s books! She seriously has such a knack for writing crazy yet believable stories that are so exciting to read!! I definitely recommend this one.

Ringman was a great read by Britney King. Jason McClure is a skilled womanizer. He is found naked in a dumpster with the only cue being a crumpled photograph in his mouth. Camila Brennan is a criminologist who is working with the Dallas Police Department to find the person responsible for McClure's death. She discovers photos of different women on Jason's laptop, wearing one of the distinctive rings that were in the photo stuffed in Jason's mouth. At the same time Camile's own life is taking a rocky turn. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

"Learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else." ― Leonardo da Vinci

The sage life advice of da Vinci, which precedes the prologue, is likewise prescient advice from Britney King for how readers should read her latest complex and creative psychological thriller. Ringman is replete with interesting characters and filled with Britney's characteristic unexpected twists and turns.

On a proverbial dark and stormy night in Dallas, a dead naked man was found in a dumpster behind an animal shelter. A crumpled photo of assorted rings was stuffed in his mouth. He was later identified as Jason McClure, a handsome, well-built, wealthy, world-class womanizer.

Camile Brennan, a criminologist, is hired to consult with the Dallas Police Department as a member of a task force headed by a man with whom she has a romantic past. To complicate things, Camile's long-time fiancé has just dumped her and taken a new, much younger woman on vacation to Thailand that was supposed to be for Camile.

A further complication is a sudden appearance in Dallas of Camile's cousin Oliver from Vermont. Oliver is a strange young man with psychosis and serious "mommy issues." Oliver has a very tenuous relationship with reality.

Camile is a more than worthy addition to the long line of strong, intelligent, and beautiful female protagonists in Britney King's novels. Camile is blond, 44, but could easily pass for younger thanks to her toned, attention-grabbing body. Besides being beautiful, Camile is intelligent, successful in her job, and a narcissist. Camile also has a strong sex drive which leads to complicated situations and dark humor. She is also witty and self-deprecating. I totally fell in love with Camile!

Camile finds photos of numerous women on Jason's laptop, each wearing a distinctive ring like those in the photograph that was stuffed in his mouth after he was killed. But who killed him? There were many people with a strong motive and perhaps justification. Camile systematically interviews the women from Jason McClure's lascivious past and narrows the suspects.

Eventually, by following da Vinci's advice, Camile solves the case of Jason McClure's murder. But along the way, many other issues, complications, problems, and weird situations arise for Camille and Oliver.

Ringman is a fast-paced, complex, brilliantly written thriller that epitomizes the term "page-turner." Britney King has outpaced herself in this diverse, complex, and entertaining book. I give it my highest possible recommendation.

I received an ARC of Ringman in return for an honest review. My review is provided voluntarily and enthusiastically.

So the 1st thing I love is those 2 words I adore most on any book Britney King, its a sign that I'm in for a great read so are you, and this is not just great in fact its an Awesome read. Its another masterpiece i can't believe how amazing and each one better than the last.

Ringman another unique read by Britney, a body found in the trash outside an animal rescue centre, or rather its the backyard. But that's a poor description but I'm not as talented as the author. There are several great characters that make this so special Camile and Oliver being the 2 main ones. They are cousins and Oliver has gone to Dallas Texas and Camile a criminologist has agreed to offer her guest room to him. That's as much of the plot I'm sharing but it's so much more and I loved it. The other characters are great and even in a dark storyline there is some great humour well hope you see it that way. A great ending for someone i mean the storyline, there is a lot to this. As you will see.

There is action from the start there are no insignificant pages, characters or incidents it's all part of an action-packed all-consuming ride of fascination seat gripping, squeaky hmmmm bits, and well I think you understand if not do the best thing possible buy Ringman read it enjoy it recover breath and then review.

I'm guessing you're not surprised I'm giving this 5 stars 50 diamonds 500

Every single time! Every time I start a new Britney King book, I say the same thing - This one's not gonna get me. Britney King is not gonna mess with my mind, and I'm gonna see those twists coming. And every time, I'm wrong. This one's no different in that respect. Seriously, I can almost hear Britney laughing, saying, "Gotcha!" And as always, I loved it!
Ringman came at a time when I really needed an escape from reality, something to get lost in for a little while, and it certainly did the trick. I was hooked from the very beginning, and these characters didn't let go. They still haven't, even now as I try to sort through my feelings about the book. We hear from a lot of characters in this twist-filled tale, and I'm not sure any of them were entirely reliable. Reliable or not, they were certainly entertaining, especially Oliver, who was one of my favorite characters.
I'm gonna stop there before I venture into spoiler territory - there are just so many things to talk about with this book! For now, I'll just sum it up by saying that I can't recommend this book enough. If you like psychological thrillers, then this author and the gripping story that is Ringman should be on your list.

Well this was a fun and twisted read and oh man did Britney King keep me guessing with this book. I really enjoyed this book, even if I felt like I wasn’t ever really sure what was happening. With all the different characters and POVs I was always wondering what was going to happen next and who we’d hear from.

The book really centers around a murder investigation, a man’s body is discovered in a dumpster having been left there after he was tortured. The main characters are Camile, a criminologist who has been brought in for this case and her cousin Oliver, who has recently come to stay with her. Add in the murder victim, the weird life he led, the number of suspects involved and some additional side characters this really is a who-done-it. who’s-gonna-do-it ride!

I loved the surprise elements in this book, they just kept coming and it made for a fun journey. I really don’t want to spoil this book, it’s a unique ride that you should just jump on. I definitely enjoyed this book and Britney King’s unique ability to twist a story and shock the reader.

Tigger Warnings: violence, abuse, both physical and emotional, mental instability, not a HEA or romance

Wow this book keeps you on your toes. There are lots of characters and it does hop from one view to the next but Celeste, Mark and Oliver are the main characters.
Mark is a detective trying to solve a puzzling crime. He has a secret of his own. He calls in criminologist Celeste.

Celeste’s aunt calls asking her to let her son( Celeste’s cousin come live with her in Texas saying he needs to find himself and get a life.

Oliver is kinda strange and has dark secrets but grows on Celeste.

There is lots of things going on. The number one thing is the big, gruesome
Murder, Celeste dubs as the Ringman.
There are many subplots as each chateau has a dark secret. There are lots of twists and turns and the murder itself is exciting too.
You won’t want to put down this book. Be prepared for surprises that will shock you and gave some tissue for a short cry.

HOLY HELL! The diabolical evil genius that is Britney King never fails to blow my mind with each new book that's for sure. I have yet to figure out things before the big reveal, and I can't get enough of that because I definitely love me some shock goodness. Ringman starts out with a murder, and everything following showcases dysfunctional characters who find themselves linked together with this situation, and I couldn't get enough of them. Once again, I don't want to say more than that since going in blind is the best way to experience this spectacular thrill ride filled with all the twists & turns around every last corner. I clear my calendar the moment a Britney King book is on my kindle because I've found her books are absolutely impossible to put down once I open them up, and Ringman is no exception. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Camile is a criminologist who is called in to consult with the Dallas police department in tracking down the person responsible for the murder off womanizer Jason McClure. Camile makes some questionable decision in her life, and bring into the mix her cousin Oliver, this leads to a story which had me on tenterhooks throughout. This story is told in multiple POV’s, and the characters have their flaws. This is a well written story which is fast paced and intense, with suspense, intrigue, truths, twists, revelations, justice, lies, and this leads to an unpredictable and thrilling addictive page turner.

I have loved every one of Ms. King’s books and Ringman is no exception. The story is a fast paced procedural and is told from several character POV. While this is a thriller like most of Ms. Kings books, this one is a little more procedural than the others I have read, but that’s not a bad thing. We have Jason McClure, womanizer, sociopath, murder victim. Camille Brennan, criminologist who is called in to consult on the investigation and Camille’s unstable cousin Oliver who is staying with her and gets involved in the investigation. As with most of King’s thrillers, this one was very engaging and I enjoyed it. I thank Enticing Journey Promotions and Britney King for the review copy and allowing me to participate in this books tour. I look forward to the next book.

Britney King has an interesting and crazy imagination. She writes these suspenseful books that I have a hard time solving before I get to the end of the book. I pride myself in being able to solve a mystery before the book or movie gives me the answer. But I just can’t seem to do it when I read Britney King’s books. Ringman was no different. It begins with a dead body. Then the rest of the book is people trying to figure out who killed the person. We meet a lot of interesting characters throughout the story. Ringman is very well written. It caught my attention on page one and held it to the very end. I was eager to turn the page and devour every word. I highly recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a good mystery.

As always, Britney King’s very good at writing an interesting story with interesting characters. I like how there is a slow burn to the plot and it shifts direction just when you think you’re starting to figure it out. The characters are also extremely flawed personalities which is what causes them to be put in the circumstances that they are. What I find most disturbing is how easy it is for them to convince themselves that their bad deeds just come naturally. They fit into their difficulties and then shed them like a snake’s skin. I think that’s especially what gets me about Oliver’s character.

This was a thriller all the way!!

Camile Brennan is a criminologist, but her life right now is spinning out of control. Her boyfriend, who she thought she would marry, has left her for another woman. Then her cousin's son, Oliver, is coming to stay with her a several weeks. His girlfriend has left him and he needs to get his life in order!

But she has been contacted by the Captain of the police force and they need her help on a murder case. Jason McClure, a known womanizer, has been found dead in a dumpster and the list of people that could have killed him are long!

I can't say much more, as there are so many twists and turns in this one, you won't get where it is going!
