He's my brother’s best friend

Also my new boss

And now my fake fiancé....

Cade "the King" Kingston, billionaire grumphole and the most sought-after athlete on the continent.

He’s also London’s most notorious bachelor with a ten-pack and a profile that would make Adonis weep.

Too bad he’s ruthless, has a heart made of ice, and is the most unfeeling brute I have ever met.

When my brother asks him to look out for me while he’s away, Cade engages me as his new Communications Manager.

Now he’s my boss, I definitely don’t want to get involved with him.

But I’ve harbored a secret crush on Cade, and when we start working together in close proximity, my feelings for him multiply.

When a stalker targets me, Cade proposes a fake marriage for my protection.

But he has secrets of his own....

This is a swoony, angsty, banter-filled romance featuring a curvy woman in over her head, a grumpy man in over his heart, and a Champagne loving Great Dane who plays matchmaker by mistake. It stands alone and comes complete with the best grovel and grand romantic gesture ever!

The Cricket Player & His Best Friend’s Little Sister

The Agreement by L. Steele is the third book in the Morally Grey Billionaires series. This is a second chance, best friend’s little sister, enemies to lovers, fake engagement, contemporary romance novel. Cade is the Captain of the England cricket team and Abby is his best friend’s little sister. The two knew each other from high school. Abby did something to betray Cade, which changed the trajectory of his life and he is set on revenge. Abby is very remorseful about what she did when she was a young teen and has been carrying a torch for Cade over the intervening years. The two traverse the ups and downs of their relationship to reach their happy ending. This book followed the typical formula that the author uses for these books. Cade is a cocky alphamale jerk who is unwilling to admit to his feelings for Abby and Abby is much more honest about her feelings. Abby allows Cade to treat her abysmally and then succumbs to his dominant sexuality. This book is pretty high on this spice meter. I found Abby a bit too much of a doormat through a good bit of the book and Cade a real jerk, so they were not my favorite couple. However the chemistry is hot and the story well written even if the characters weren’t my favorite. I think that the male narrator did jerk really well, which may have contributed to my impression. I am voluntarily submitting this honest review after listening to an advanced complementary copy of this audiobook thanks to Valentine PR and Audible Audio.
