I thought things would get easier after my oath to the mafia don of Venice was fulfilled, but they've only gotten worse. My ex-boyfriend is in a coma. The greatest threat the magi have ever faced has neutralized 71 percent of our species and is hell-bent on 100 percent. No one knows where he'll strike next, except maybe the enemy-turned-ally whom I have no choice but to trust. My new love interest has asked for an impossible favour and there's still no sign of Janet, the woman who was kidnapped on our watch. Our forces are hanging by a thread, and the mysterious orbs have yet to prove useful.

We are out-gunned, out-matched, and we've been out-maneuvered. I'll admit things look bad. But I still have a few cards left to play in this battle to save the remaining magi, now I just need to find the guts to play them.

Don't miss the final book in the Arcturus Academy series!

Arcturus Academy is an action-adventure series of five books by a USA Today and Amazon best-selling author. Saxony is a strong female heroine swept into a world of dizzying plot twists, sweet romance and intriguing mythology, all woven against a backdrop of elemental magic. I have truly enjoyed the whole Elemental Series of books by A.L. Knorr. I go through a few different genres of books and a the supernatural is at the top of the list. I really enjoyed the initial back stories of each of the girls stories. I have a personal preference for earth and water and the stories were weaved together spectacularly. I enjoyed the story of Saxony's experience of learning of her new abilities and growing through her time at Arcturus Academy. Their were some time's in book 3, 4 where I wasn't super invested as the plot seemed to stall. It seemed to just be a continuous reliving of day to day experience of her going through school and basic teen drama mixed with a little fire mage. However, things did pick up and came full circle. I will say book 5 was pretty jam packed with excitement making it virtually impossible to put down. I was kept riveted until the end.
Slight Spoiler Alert... But No Specific details!....if you haven't completed this section of the series you may not want to read my opinion of the end of book 5 of Arcturus. I was hoping for a better ending and felt let down with the conclusion. It felt like the ending was a mix between trying to wrap up the story of Saxony coming to a point where she thrived at overcoming such adverse circumstances but, a mix of being let down on how things ended for the overall magi community. At the same time didn't seem to truly come together and make complete sense on how it ended for some but not others. I would think that there would be more than 2 who inherited their fire. So the ending was a little disappointing. I think it was done to try and wrap up the end of the story and bring this huge question that was unanswered for so long coming full circle while not being a huge disappointment for the readers. Overall, I still have loved the rest of the groups of books set in each Elemental categories.
Overall, definitely highly recommend all these books!

I am working my way through this entire collection! I have loved every book so far! If you enjoy magic or your just looking for an easy read, I highly recommend this series. While it is written for an YA genre, don't let this deter you, I am a middle aged mom of three! I found the series refreshing and the characters feel like friends , sticking with you when the story ends. I love finding a new author who keeps me hooked and wanting to devour the next book immediately!

Although I am a 71 year old I very much enjoyed reading about Saxony's adventures. The author kept you guessing all the way through. I did not care for the games and skipped through some of it, but in the whole, it was a fun read. I will go back and read more about the elementals, as I only read the beginning book of the series.

Had a great time reading+listening to this final book in Ms. Knorr's series. She is a wonderful writer, in the sense that this is one of the few fantasy YA series I have read that have it all: great characters, great universe building, amazing plot (which has twists you do NOT see coming) and it simply makes you want to devour the book.

The Elemental Universe has multiple small series/trilogies in it, and this is the last book for the current series about our Fire Elemental, Saxony. I strongly suggest you start her series at the beginning, otherwise you might not get lots of the lore/references regarding fire mages. All I can say about that is that this book uncovers A LOT of the mages' background as a species, while there's also a power-hungry mage that wants to own all the fire power for himself.

I read the book as soon as I got an ARC (advanced reader copy), on fast forward, in about 5 hours. I simply had to see how it ends. Then I re-read it when it was officially released and I got my paid-for ebook copy, and I enjoyed all the nuances and subtleties I did not have the patience for the first time around. Yes, I found it that good that I had to read it twice! Now I'm binge-listening to the series on Audible while I drive and do house chores and the story is just as awesome as the first time(s).

PS: fans of her other Elemental series are in for some surprise cameos. Get this series!!!

The reader will adore Knorr’s knack for navigating a journey of self discovery through an elementally fuelled world..

Source fire celebrates the solidarity of fellow fellow fire mages worldwide & discover’s the foundations of each unique idle flame.

Abby’s work always oozes a celebration of diversity in every word she pens channeling the reader across exotic locale of archeological significance across the globe, steeped in historical events, legends & lore.

The work is inclusive it allows one to dream, to escape.
In this sense the story becomes known to the reader & trust me you’ll be grateful for it..

One thing a reader will adore most about Knorr’s writing is the number of clever quips thrown into the storyline even during serious moments.

I have often woken my bf belly laughing!

So living for Source right now!
Loving every minute of the idle fire saga ❤️

I was glad to get to the end, I was sad to Get to the end. I have really enjoyed this series. Sometimes, for me, it was so intense I would have to read a lighter story before reading the next book in the series. I highly, highly recommend this series.

I loved this book and the ones preceding it. There was a lot of different kinds of fantasy. The characters seemed so real and interwoven well into the story. It's another book that was hard to put down. It was written for young adults, but I am definitely an older adult and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I absolutely love this authors descriptive capabilities! There’s some cliché sayings out there that are soo overused, so I really appreciate this authors ability to come up with new ways of describing things.

My only complaint on this series is that the main character jumps around a lot on who they’re dating. Like, you think things were going great with the guy from Italy and suddenly he’s just gone. No more communication. Then she’s dating my favorite character and for whatever reason she dumps him for some new character that we know nothing about and who I thought had no chemistry with.

Es ist schade, dass die Serie zu Ende ist.
