Big Book Boss by Jessika Klide is the story of Bastian and Samaera (Sam). They meet at a karaoke event and have a wonderful night. Now, she needs a job and answers an ad. Turns out to be Bastian.
I love this snarky woman!!! She takes no guff from anyone and she is strong, determined, and sure of herself. Bastian is dealing with a lot of business issues….and needs someone to help. This was a fun, mischievous, laugh-a-minute story that melted my heart! Enjoyable, light-hearted read!

This super cute short story has a lot of hilarious moments and the most unique proposal I have ever read. It will definitely having you laughing out loud.

Big Book Boss was a short, fast paced rom-com that was truly enjoyable. The plot will draw you in and have you laughing in no time. Sam is the kind of girl others inspire to be and men wish they could have. I also really enjoyed Sebastian. His character was sweet, attentive, and one you can easily love. This was my first book my Jessika Klide, but it definitely won't be my last.

He appreciates a smart, strong, independent woman and is savvy enough to give Sam free rein to take over as his personal assistant. Bastian is handsome, smart, and sweet. He loves to hold Sam's hand and he adopted a stray kitten and named her Precious Kitty. I loved the chemistry between Sam and Bastian and I liked the fact that Bastian was sensitive to Sam's needs and wasn't a typical alpha male like most billionaires are portrayed. However, I was disappointed and disgruntled with the ending which was abrupt and tacky.
If you enjoy fun, LOL romantic comedies with bold, confident women and charming, perceptive men, give this book a try.

Big Book Boss is the first stand alone book in the new Such A Boss series. It's a short, fast paced Rom-Com filled with witty humor, a plot that grabs your attention, steamy scenes and a unusual proposal. The tropes are grump/sunshine, boss, opposites attract and forced proximity. I recommend this book because it's a quick, light hearted book, the FMC is blunt and southern and the MMC is really a softie!
Sebastian King and Samaera Mathieson meet in a crowded bar where Bastian is there to watch a game and Sam is there to win a karaoke contest. She just got fired and needs rent money. Before she sings she needs liquid courage and Bastian happily buys the shots.

Sebastian runs Kitty Publishing which offers readers romance books matched with a toy - Yes that kind of toy. As you can imagine it is a huge success catapulting Sebastian to billionaire status.
However, as we all know money and status, and did I mention an extraordinarily large asset and good looks (yes that kind of asset) bring additional problems of their own.
His life is bodyguards, grande horizontale (to pass censors), background checks, crowds, gold diggers, etc. which can make for a grumpy man.
Not only can he not keep an assistant for the life of him - might help if he practiced his communication skills but hey...
And he definitely doesn't keep a partner for long - quick hit and go

And wow does she take the reigns
I have to be real here this was a highly comical - quick to click - slightly fantastical tale that most likely will induce squirming and cause loud bouts of laughter that you will not want to put down
Yes it's mommy po 'rn - but it also has a great story with wonderful characters that you can't help but love and loathe'

"Pretty certain this is my first book by this author, and it was an amazing book to read. I felt like I was laughing from start to finish, with quite a few swoon worthy moments in between.
Bastian & Sam come from two completely different worlds, but they just clicked right from the moment they first met. And let me just say that first meeting was both hilarious and sexy at the same time.
I love the angst part in my romance novels, but this book doesn’t have that at all. Whenever this happens, it is honestly a breath of fresh air and I can just look forward to the couple becoming who they were meant to be together.
Hats off to the author for a little self promotion added in - I thought it was not only quirky but also very tongue in cheek. Loved this!

Sebastian King likes his business a certain way. He needs someone to shake things up. Sam Mathieson is trying to make the best out of a sad situation. But when one door closes, another one opens. This book has the perfect mix of humor, tough as nails main characters, and some wickedly good fun.
I didn’t realize I needed this book until I started to laugh. Every time I turned around, there was something else to laugh at. The steamy scenes were good, and it shows me how well our main characters complement each other. And the addition of someone special to Sebastian just made the story just that much better.
This book is the first in the series so I will be interested to see where our author’s storyline is going next. Since the second book is coming out next month, I don’t have that long a wait. That being the case, since this is the first book I’ve read by this author, I have time to check out more of her other work.

This was a fast paced quick read that will have you laughing out loud and yelling ya you go girl at the FMC Samera (Sam) was a fantastic character that any woman can get behind, She is fierce, Sassy, independent, loyal and will put the bullies in their places. When Sam meets Bastian she was trying to win money at Karaoke as she had just lost her job. He was kind, caring and protective when she needed it and one hot night she thought was all it was, until she applied for a job from a crazy ad that she will need to be tough as nails for. Bastian is the CEO of precious kitty publishing and can never keep a PA until the girl he can't stop thinking about runs into his office. Then things get crazy. Bastian stood behind her in every sense and let her take the lead.I loved the banter and how quickly these two fell in love. It was such a light and easy read that you won't put it down until you're done. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

Respectfully, did I read the same book as everyone else? This book gave me “the ick” repeatedly. Between “erogenous zones” being a catch phrase for the fmc and then “booger spot”(wtf?) being used repeatedly, I’m shocked this book has such high ratings. Was it secretly written by a man or for men? Because none of the dialogue or inner monologues felt reasonable. Plus the fmc is wearing 8 inch heels to an office… that seems excessive like a male fantasy, not a female one. And the mmc only works three days a week, has an outrageous number of bodyguards (all former military buddies, of course), and all the fancy cars a man can imagine.
As my one friend put it… a woman saying in a romance novel that she’s never had an orgasm is a negative Roman Empire. This book was written in 2023 sex positivity is a real thing. Go out, buy yourself a toy and stop thinking you need a man to feel good.

Gaaah ... What a way to kick off a new series!
Bastian and Sam's story is one of the most entertaining books I've read so far this year - maybe ever - and Ms. Klide has once again outdone herself with these two characters.
Their banter is hilarious and had me constantly chuckling and more than once burst out laughing.
I loved everything about them ... their perfectly complementary personalities (Bastian, the spot-on but grumpy boss, and Sam, his feisty, sassy and quick-witted PA who doesn't hold back at all) and their instant attraction, their red-hot chemistry as well as their deep feelings. Although their relationship blossoms quickly, it doesn't come across as phony or superficial ... quite the opposite.
I devoured this book in one go and couldn't put it down.
I can't wait to read the next installment in this new series by Ms. Klide.

They are just some of the words that come to mind after reading this book. It was a fun entertaining read filled with Sam's sassy attitude that i adored! She had attitude (and a heap of it) and wasn't scared to apply for a job that was directed for a Male PA, Sam had just lost her job so what does she do..... yep, she applied AND got the job without even stepping foot into an interview.
Bastian got the shock of his life when Sam.... AKA kareoke Queen winner and one night stand full of scorching chemistry and heat steps through his office door as his new assistant.
What happens next is full of sassy banter, Bastian trying to fire her unsucessfully and chemistry between the two.

I loved this book on Sebastian and Samaera's (Sam's) story. They meet by accident one night and then don't see each other again. Sam on the spur of the moment applies for a job as a P.A for the C.E.O of Precious Kitty Publishing giving her an impossible time to get there for the job. She makes it just in time and makes a dramatic entry into the C.E.O's office then when she recovers she can't believe her eyes. It's the man from that night at the bar. I loved Sam's sense of humor making me giggle a few times throughout the book.
I received an arc for my voluntary honest review for NNBB. I loved this book once I started I found it hard to put down. If you love a romcom you will love this book as Jessika doesn't disappoint.

Samaera and Bastian share a drunken hook up in a bar, and do not expect to see each other again. When Samaera applies for a job whose job description is strictly for a male PA, “Sam” applies, and is offered the job sight unseen, for a publishing house. When Samaera arrives, she is shocked to find out that her grumpy boss in none other than Bastian, who tries to fire her without much success. This is a well written story which has humor, witty banter, opposites attract, grumpy / sunshine romance, which is a fun, entertaining, and light-hearted steamy page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This was an enjoyable first book in the Such a Boss series. I loved Sam, she grew up with 4 older brothers and she didn’t back down from a fight if one was necessary. I loved how she quickly identified the executive that was causing problems at Precious Kitty Publishing and knew just how to trim their claws so that they couldn’t hurt the business.
Their relationship got serious quickly, but I liked that Sam told Bastian, they needed to take things slower and that they could revisit their relationship after 3 months.

book premise was pretty okay, however what i didn't really like was the abrupt ending. it ended way too sudden, and it felt like the story got chopped off because the author didn't know how to continue. additionally, the heroine was hired as the hero's p.a. but the setting around his workplace or work related stuff is not that much, like did they do any work at all?? then there is the coo at their workplace which had been mentioned right from the start, but the ending of her was that "she is gone" from their workplace, the end... like huh???? i expected more drama from this since she seems like a character that keeps on appearing. the execution could have been done better to be honest.

She answered an ad for a Billionaire’s PA and nailed it, however her one night stand only hires male PA as women are too emotional. She’s out to prove him wrong. She’s grown up with 4 brothers so she’s not easily intimidated. She surpasses all expectations and is actually very good at her job. Sam and Sebastian have great chemistry from the very beginning. Sam had just lost her job, hit a bar to drown her sorrows, met a hot guy aka one night stand, Mr Sebastian King, sang a hell of a song at the karaoke and they were both smitten. Great start to the Such a boss series.

A great mix of fun and steam. From the drunken bar to the end we are given enough laughs and steam to make this a great book to read in between the dark books I love.
Sam is full of fun and snark. Very confident and outgoing.
Sebastian is the hard nosed CEO who can’t keep an assistant.
Thy meet under fun and crazy circumstances. They have a night and now Sam is Bastion’s assistant. Let the fun begin.

I thought Big Bbok Boss was such a delight. I think I smiled as I read for at least 90% of the book. I liked Bastien even if he was a bit clueless about his business and some high handed with Sam at times. But, I absolutely adored Sam. Her "bless your heart" attitude; her ability to give as good if not better that she got; her sassiness; her wonderment at Bastien's stard of living and so much more. Jessika Klide has a winner on her hands with this one.

This was such a fun read! It's my first from Jessika Klide (I'm a sucker for billionaire CEO romances) and it won't be my last. I absolutely loved Sam. She was such a fun character. Bastian was sweet and sensitive. He was so good to Sam. I definitely laughed out loud at some points and was often smiling and reading. Definitely recommend!

So this was my first time reading anything by Jessika Klide. I've heard if her so when I was offered the chance to receive and ARC copy of Big Book Boss I was like 'bet' as this new generation says lol. I was not disappointed. This book is funny, wild, hot. An all around great read. I'm looking forward to reading more and adding her to my huge TBR pile.

Who says opposites don't attract. This well written, witty, laugh out loud, entertaining romance can prove they do. A one night stand starts it all. Sam becomes Bastion's private assistant. (Sam should have been male) The fireworks are hilarious. A fun read for sure.

This book almost lost a star for me when it referred to the female g-spot as the “booger spot” goodness that was TERRIBLE. Thankfully it was only mentioned for a chapter so I let it slide because the rest of the book was really good.

Definitely a fun quick read, but the whole book kind of felt like a joke😂 like… the storyline was silly, it wasn’t written very well imo, and it just ended abruptly. I feel like this storyline had potential to be so much more.
