All you lovers of the fake boyfriend/girlfriend and marriage of convenience tropes, you need to grab this book and read it. It had so many great aspects to it that I couldn't help but dive in and enjoy.

Fun group of friends, undercover security agent, billionaire playboy (not really but everyone thinks he is) getting threats to his girlfriends/fiancees, fake boyfriend/girlfriend, photography, brothers, intricate family dynamics, sweet and budding romance, stalker extraordinaire (usually I can figure out the bad guy pretty fast but not this one, I was guessing to the end!), wedding plans, and much, much more!

This is part of a series and I must say this one and the previous one Mending Walls with the Billionaire: A Clean Billionaire Romance are my favorites! I've enjoyed all of the books and characters, but these two have by far been my favorites. Maybe that is due to the fact that all the characters that the first book started out with, the group of roommates, have been present throughout the continuing books in this series. I can't tell you how much I love that! When you get to know characters in one book, connect with them and then it's over, it's sad. I know, it's fictional but still I love my characters and books. I enjoy when I can continuing reading about these characters that I love and seeing their story building and continuing. They haven't just disappeared and ceased to exist. That's also probably one reason readers love Harry Potter so much. We love the characters and we were given 7 books to connect and dive into their lives and stories and to keep seeing them grow and learn and achieve (and of course many other reasons too).

If you haven't read any of the books in this series, I think you'd be fine reading them as stand alone novels. The author writes them well enough that you see all the characters but you don't feel confused as to their backstories. Very well done. But if I could, I would highly recommend starting with the first book, Mending Fences with the Billionaire, then Mending Christmas, Mending Walls with the Billionaire: A Clean Billionaire Romance, and finally this one, Mending Images. Definitely worth the time spent reading them.

Abbie has been one of my favorite characters throughout the series. What's not to love about a spunky female bodyguard who comes from a family of brothers and parents who all work for the family business being bodyguards? She's the best. I was so happy she got to be part of the series and have her own story. She's spunky but she also has a vulnerable side. She wants to have friendships and find her happily ever after. But being the only girl amidst several very protective brothers hasn't allowed for many chances of finding love. Then Preston comes along and hires her. The job goes a little sideways and next thing Abbie knows is she's now Preston's fake fiancee. Let me tell you I loved her brothers and family! It was so much fun reading about them trying to be all protective of Abbie when she's being an undercover bodyguard fiancee. Ha! And don't worry, there's plenty of swoony romance between these two. Of course they work together so nothing can happen. But who can stop chemistry and sparks? And Preston? Oh ladies, I loved him! He was nothing at all like we're first lead to think. Definitely a gentleman worthy of Abbie and I loved all his moments where he would do something small and meaningful to show her that he cared. *happy sigh*

Honestly, I loved every minute of it! I couldn't figure out who the bad guy was and so imagine my surprise after guessing and guessing, and some more thoughts and guessing, and I couldn't figure it out. I'm not always stumped like that, so I definitely enjoy when an author can surprise me! This is a book and series that I will be returning to and rereading as well as telling people to grab it and read as well!

Content: Clean. There are no explicit sex scenes. There are some mild innuendos, talk of Preston being a playboy and an escort service is mentioned at one point, but only in the sense of the stalker trying to cause problems. And of course there is the aspect of a stalker throughout the book sending threatening messages. Nothing overly graphic. Some moments of suspense but overall this was a great clean read.

I received an early copy from the author but have also purchased my own copy. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

Another great addition to this series. I love that Abbie got her own story even though she wasn't part of the original art society. Abbie is wonderful and so full of spunk. I loved getting to know her better. It's amazing what she is willing to go through for her job and for love. Preston is also a good guy, although perhaps a little sheltered. I really enjoyed this story and the suspense that went along with the romance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Preston Harmon was a successful businessman, a billionaire, in fact. But, he also had a stalker, or his girlfriends did. Every time he seemed to get close to a woman, the stalker would strike and he would be jilted again. Abbie Hasting has been hired to protect his latest girlfriend/fiance, Yvette, until the stalker strikes and freaks Yvette out sending her running away.

Finally, Preston asked Abbie she would be his fake fiance in order to catch the stalker. She agreed but the more time she spent with Preston, she realized he wasn't the totally self-absorbed unfeeling man he was portrayed in the media. While he always the gentleman with her, she wanted the possibility of more, but she was hired to play a part, nothing more. They were from two different worlds that could never mix. She would never fit in. Preston also saw Abbie for the strong, beautiful woman that she was and began to see what he might have been missing all along. The goal was to catch the stalker before some real serious harm was done. Would they be able to catch the person in time or would someone be hurt in the process? Would the damage be to their person or to their hearts?

I felt the characters were well developed. I loved the secondary characters, in the book, as well. They added a real personal side to the main characters. The book was a clean romance with no sex or foul language but was a sweet romantic story. I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

Preston Harmon hired Abbie Hastings to protect his soon to be finance except his girlfriend breaks up with him right after his proposal upon receiving another scary message from his stalker. Preston’s stalker has been terrorizing his girlfriends for the past 3 years. He just wants to be able to settle down with a girl and start a family. Preston decides that Abbie is the perfect person to play his fake fiancé so they can catch the stalker. The threats escalate until Abbie almost pays with her life. They become friends and their hearts start to be involved. Can they walk away from each other in the end? I knew who the stalker was when the reader first introduced this person in the novel and from the gifts and type of threats what gender the stalker was. The suspense for me was in what else this person would do and when they would get caught. Nice clean romantic suspense with plenty of funny and romantic moments. Abbie’s brothers are great and they deserve their own romances.

This was an action-packed book that had me from the start and I couldn't put it down until the end. Abbie is a strong independent woman making her way in a man's world. I loved the strength of her character and the loyalty she had to family and friends. Preston was a self-absorbed man that muddled his way through several meaningless relationships. Most of his relationships ended with a stalker scaring the woman away. Preston developed a liking to Abbie when she didn't fall at his feet when they met. I loved the chemistry between the two throughout the book. The book had several tense moments, yet also had some humor. I felt like this book was well written. I recommend to those that like fake relationships that turn into something more and a little mystery.

Enjoyed reading this book. It was a very entertaining book and one that I loved reading. It was a great book on love, intrigue and companionship. I enjoyed following Abby and Preston and the rest of the group in finding out why all the former brides kept backing out, but one thing it did was bring Preston was his true love and Abby got hers. Read fellow friends and relatives to get the whole story. This was one I read from start to finish as it was hard to put down to even eat. Great book this is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill

Loving this series

This has been a fun series, and I really liked this one in particular - it was a great premise for the popular fake fiancée trope. It would have garnered a 5 star rating except for the fact that the reader really doesn't get to see how they end up falling in love. You're just told that they realize they are.

Other than that (and the fact that I had no problem figuring out whodunnit, lol), the book was really well done. It is fun watching the friendships and relationships continue to develop. I can't wait for the next book!

Abbie is a great bodyguard to Preston but will she be an even better fake fiancee? I love mysteries (always try to solve it) and sweet romances - this one is both!!! Will Abbie and Preston's pretend engagement become real? A pageturner with a few twists and turns.

Good clean read

This is the second book in the series I have read, both were excellent. Of course I didn't read them in order, that would make too much sense. Think ill go back to the beginning since the other characters are in this book too. Can't wait!!

A great romantic suspense! As Abbie plays Preston's fiance she gets in danger. Will the danger be stopped before the fake wedding or will she have to do it? I was surprised at who it was!

Mending Images

I wish I would have read this book before I read the Hastings Security books. Abbie is talked about in every single book, but I’m happy to know her story. There is a bit of mystery in this one, and a bit of romance. I liked both Preston and Abbie, and as I often feel with this author, I just wish she spent a little more time on the connection and romance. It might help the quick endings be more believable.

Lorin Grace does know how to write good books even if they’re light, weekend reads. I read this one in one sitting and I’m now terrible late to start the day. It was worth it because now I can start with a smile on my face (and the need to go read about the other Hastings siblings I haven’t read yet).
