Seoul Demon (Southeast Asia Paranormal Police Department Book 2) Kindle Edition
Mark Vedis and his team need a break. After the events of Bangkok Warlock, they’ve been working with the Thai Paranormal Police Department (PPD) to clean up the streets and get rid of the last of the supernatural threats to the Land of Smiles.
Too bad the supernatural mafia is back and ready to make their lives a living hell.
This time they’ve attacked the PPD branches in South Korea, and they’ve brought backup. Mark and the team will have to fend off mages, monsters, and a demon so big he’s made Bert more than a little jealous. To make matters worse, Mark also managed to create a public relations nightmare by bringing a woman back from the dead using black magic. If that wasn’t enough, he’s caught the eye of a dragon who wants to add him to her collection of pretty boys.
Life was so much easier when everyone just wanted to kill him…

Being a warlock is hard
Mark never wanted to be in this position, but heroes seldom do. Of course, heroes aren't usually thrust into a situation where they have to have a demon as a partner. In all fairness, though, Bert's not a bad demon. He's just misunderstood...by nearly everyone.
Mark Vedis was a fledgling cop until he was merged with a demon.
Being a warlock used to be cool. Now it gets you nothing but an annoying demon partner and a huge target on your back.
Mark Vedis ran a regular beat as a PPD officer. He mostly dealt with werecows and werebulls and a partner who ate too much.
As fate would have it, though, he ended up facing down a new kind of villain that was more disturbing and powerful than he could've ever imagined.
The darn thing nearly killed him.
While in his death throes, Mark was given the gift (curse?) of a demon companion that opened his ability to become a warlock. That's when the crap really hit the fan.

About the authors
John was raised in the MD/VA/DC area of the United States. Growing up, John had a steady interest in writing stories, playing music, and tinkering with computers. He spent over 20 years working in the video games industry where he acted as designer, programmer, and producer on many online games.
He transitioned into being a full-time author in December of 2017, focusing on urban fantasy, science fiction, fantasy, and anything else that happens to tickle his imagination.
See all his books at JohnPLogsdon.com.
Noah is a writer of comedy, in whatever form seems like the most fun at the time. Most of his work is in horror comedy/ urban fantasy, but only because Hasbro won't let him write books about Transformers.
Noah grew up in Southeast Kansas, then lived in Asia (South Korea, China, and Thailand) for most of a decade, acquiring a wife and daughter in the process. He is currently living back in Kansas and is openly resentful about having to grow up and settle down. He plans to take frequent vacations abroad, just as soon as his books are turned into movies or he hits the lottery.
Noah never really knows what’s going on, but attempts to have a good time anyway. He hopes you have as much fun reading his books as he does writing them.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2024I enjoyed the book. The characters are interesting. I liked the story. Extra stories at the end peeked my interest to see what happens to the team next. Man, do the demons really like sex...
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2018Spicy! This story is not for the faint of heart. If you don’t enjoy sexy talk, then this is not the book for you. Every time I read a book set in this universe, I think that the authors have developed it as much as possible and then I read the next story and find that I’m wrong. Each book takes me farther and farther down the path into this wonderful, screwed, action-packed world. I love the interconnectedness of the various series, yet also see that a new reader could easily pick up the book and enjoy the story. The relationship between the characters is warm and deep and hilarious. This story had laughing out loud. The kind of laughing that other people in the room want to know what you’ve been smoking to feel so good. Another winner. Please keep them coming. ;-)

- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2018Mark and his crew are back at it in the second installment of the P.P.D., Far East division. The mayhem has not scaled down a single notch since we last saw Mark and his intrepid crew of misfits taking on the Shaped in Bangkok. Fortunately, the hilarity hasn’t scaled back a notch either. I was literally chortling into my coffee before I made it through chapter 1.
Now, though, the bad guys have switched targets to Seoul, with Mark and his team in hot pursuit. The pursuit doesn’t stop in Korea though. The team has to take a trip through the Netherworld to consult with Bert’s mom, the demon queen, in order to win the day. Needless to say, the Badlands is an eye opening experience and Mark learns more about himself and his teammates than he is perhaps comfortable with. Either way, I’m more than happy to have laughed my way through Mark’s adventures and I look forward to the next round.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2018John Logsdon and Noah Sturdevant have delivered an exciting second installment to the Mark Vedis Supernatural Thriller series. Seoul Demon is equal parts snark and magical adventure. It takes you from the streets of Bangkok to the city of Seoul with a side trip to the Badlands. Mark Vedis has quickly become one of my favorite heroes as he fights his way out of some pretty exciting circumstances all with style and a sense of humor. Seoul Demon is a must-read and a vital part of anyone's paranormal library. I will always read whatever John Logsdon and Noah Sturdevant write and look forward to the next one!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2018More than 60% into the book, and the plot is almost nonexistent. Watered down premise. A step down from the previous book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic second book for the Southeast Asia PPD IDU
A fantastic second book for the Southeast Asia PPD IDU. A fast paced, witty story, with well developed and fun characters.
I really enjoyed this continuation of the Mark Vedis story, he is growing into his role as leader of the 'Fixers, and it is showing in the team. Intermingled with the investigative and ass-kicking work of the IDU is the story of Mark's life, which is starting to seem a lot more interesting. I can't wait for the next book to reveal a few more tantalising pieces of his story.
