I really like that this is a more mature look at love. Bruce had come into town to be their new fire chief from his high profile career in Boston. He talked his grown daughter into coming with him. As firefighters they’re concerned when mysterious fires keep occurring wherever they are. Belinda, the owner of the coffee shop has been feeling sparks of the emotional kind around the chief, who was widowed 10 years earlier, but never felt ready to date again. There’s suspense that keeps hitting closer and closer.
This is a nice read, I figured out what’s going to happen, so it’s not as intense as some. The elder Wests are as obnoxious as ever, thank goodness the younger generation are more accepting. I really liked that Bruce was ready to move on, and Belinda who had some negative relationship issues in her past was open to a relationship. Clean. I received this as an. ARC.
