Knowledge is power. Dark power... Wren Cooper felt the sting of her vision. The Dark Witch was back and she'd taken the chief of the New Orleans Paranormal Police Department.

The door was open for Wren to wipe the slate clean and get the hell out of there. She could go back to her normal life of thieving, forgetting that her brush with Chief Lambert and the NOLO PPD ever happened.

Too bad she has a conscience.

Even worse, she happens to like Lambert. Yes, I'm talking like like.

But this isn't a simple rescue. Even with her ability to sink into shadow, Wren has never gone toe-to-toe with a Dark Witch.

To even have a chance, Wren must fully engage with the PPD. She'll have to learn to work with Officer Bibbette, which is nearly as bad as fighting a Dark Witch. She'll have to call on the members of her guild of thieves for help.

She'll need to give up everything she's ever known and become something that is dark and deadly.

In a nutshell, to save Chief Lambert, Wren Cooper has to become a badass.

Once again, these authors have knocked it out of the park. I love the character of Wren, and in this one, we get to know her thieving friends a little better. What an enjoyable part of the book! Speaking of characters, I love Dr. Mel and Lambert. I can’t wait until we get to know them more…well, maybe get to know Lambert better; Dr. Mel scares me! LOL! This was action-packed fun sure to keep you entertained for a couple of hours. If you are fan of this series, this one will tickle you pink. If you haven’t tried this series before, you need to remedy that ASAP. Highly recommend this book and series!

Love Wren

Paranormal police department books are fun, fast paced reads. I like the shadow magic. I like the quirky characters. Great urban fantasy series.

Black and White and Shades of Grey...

When Wren Cooper wakes from a dream, she knows its no ordinary one. The Dark witch that nearly killed Wren and then escaped during her last case has kidnapped Chief Lambert of the Paranormal Police Department. With Lambert MIA, Wren is no longer obligated to help the PPD, but her moral compass just won't let her walk away. Journeying back to the white witch order and the head witch who molded her and taught her the ways of light, Wren discovers much more Knowledge than she bargained for and answers to questions she didn't even know to ask. Now the question becomes, can Wren use this newfound Knowledge to save Lambert and get her team out of this mess alive, or will she embrace the dark power calling to her? What she finds is that there is no black and white...just WAY more than 50 shades of grey...

Wow! Another doozy of a story by these authors. Wren is growing into herself, but still fights against the dark side of witchcraft. She is starting to like working at the PPD. Then Lambert, her boss, is kidnapped by the Dark Witch. Calling up her own team of thieves and the team at PPD she goes after Lambert. She and her cohorts face fight after fight. Going back to the Guild she finds out about herself and takes risks that will allow her to be strong enough to fight for Lambert's release. There is enough snark to add light to the dark. A really awesome action/crime book with enough action to satisfy any of us dedicated readers and fans. I highly recommend this book and the first book in the series. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC book.

A fantastic action packed adventure.

Absolutely loved this latest adventure with Wren Cooper. Could not put it down. If you could only read one of the PPD books, this would be the one. It has plenty of fun, comedy, action and adventure and totally sums up all that is PPD, and to be honest if you read this one you will soon be reading all the others in the series. Can’t wait for the next one, so may just give this one another whirl while I’m waiting.

Wren tastic

The time has come when Wren must make a choice to pursue her criminal path or help the Police when Fleming goes missing. It will take everything she has in her Aresenal and will involve opening up her past and some revelations to succeed as she puts her life on the line.
This is even better than book 1 as we finally get to see what Destiny has in line for Wren and which path she may take.

Great second book

The second book from the New Orleans PPD. Wren is quickly becoming a favorite character. I love that she is a strong female character who doesn't fall into the "let's do the polar opposite of what everyone is saying not to do" trope. The story moves quickly with lots of action and humor

I loved this book!

Rabid Curse is an amazing continuation of Wren Cooper's story as a Shadow Witch roped into working for the PPD. This book will keep you entertained until the last page. It is funny, full of magic and mayhem, and has a strong heroine with a sarcastic sidekick named Rico.It is a must read for lovers of supernatural thrillers. I loved it!

I loved this book. The whole PPD 'verse is a brilliant ride through the lives and 'adventures' of the various sections of it. All these books are excellent fun but there is just something special about Wren Cooper et al. Maybe it's Rico because he certainly is a great big ball of doodie. If you haven't discovered this series yet and you need your spirits lifted give these a go. These are fun.

Dynamite! This book was a gem of escalation. Really enjoyed the circumstances surrounding her powers, and the added assistance of her little crime council. And the trickery towards the end - nice! Loads of fun.

I love all the PPD series but I think Wren is one of my favourite characters. She's a pretty unique kind of Witch and in this latest episode we find out more about her special talents. When Lambert is in peril Wren makes some important choices.

Wren.

Wren is a complicated witch, not quite a white witch but not dark either. This book delves more into what she might possibly be, whilst also having the sarcasm, action, and danger that are a must in the PPD world.

A Great Witchy Story!

A great paranormal mystery! Wren faces some majorly nasty dark witches and becomes the first witch of her kind in 1000 years or more! She fights the good fight but the 'plot twists' keep happening!
Highly recommended!
