I love the Maxwell family. If you have read the series, then you are probably familiar with the above quote. The Maxwell’s put family first ALWAYS! So seeing Kade & Lacey take on so much to help their family in need is such a beautiful, moving and emotional scene. Kade & Lacey are definitely going to make wonderful parents someday. Kade is so fatherly to the kids, without taking over like he’s replacing their father. He and Lacey are actually helping the children to heal. I was moved to tears in this books so many times. It was just so touching, so loving and so moving.
I love Quinn and her brother, Liam (especially). They just fit in with the Maxwell family so well. Quinn has become a tuff cookie, thanks to Maiken’s always building her up and showing her how special she is. It has done a lot to make her look at herself differently. But when Maiken is behind her she feels even more confident. Maiken needs Quinn in somewhat the same way. Their relationship really begins to grow and they are the sweetest teenage couple.
This is such a great series! The audio is sooo great!! The narrators are the same as for the first book, and I love how they sound the age of the characters! They both are really good at a wide range of different voices for all the different characters! They just bring this story to life in such an incredible way!!!

I have read the ebook and I really loved listening the audiobook for the second book in this series. This is my second ever audiobook and I am really starting to enjoy them. I love Maiken’s voice, his accent is great, it’s what I imagine him to sound like. I loved the story from start to finish and all the characters! I definitely recommend this!
