London Bridges Falling Down...and werewolves, too!
Power, struggle, and misery fill the Netherworld factions living in London. Their history is vast and their connections are made of steel. In particular, the werewolves have built up a stronghold that has stood the test of time.
Unfortunately, there is a new uberwolf who has taken over the werewolves of London and he's bent on proving that he is the most powerful creature in all of the supernatural community.
In an effort to prove himself, he has kidnapped Ian Dex's ex-partner, Rachel Cress, using her as bait to lure Ian across the pond.
Life sure has its moments.
In order to track down Rachel, Ian must team up with her current London PPD partner. The guy seriously idolizes James Bond. Worse, the cop Ian brought along from Vegas is Harvey, a werebear who fancies himself as being like Sherlock Holmes.
Again...life.
But it turns out there's more to this than simply liberating Rachel. Ian must win the battle against the biggest werewolf he's ever seen. If he fails, the meager expanse between life and death may just open up and swallow them all.
If you like Jim Butcher, Domino Finn, Michael Anderle, M. D. Massey, Rick Gualtieri, Orlando A. Sanchez, K.F. Breene, Shayne Silvers, Ilona Andrews, Brad Magnarella, Patricia Briggs, or Kim Harrison...you'll have a blast with the fourth book in the Las Vegas Paranormal Police Department.
John P. Logsdon is a former game designer, producer, and software engineer who shamelessly digs into the deep recesses of his mind to bring forth oddball characters and hilarious plots. He writes primarily in fantasy, urban fantasy, and science fiction, but he's also dabbled in cozy mystery from time to time. To see John's vast library of laughs, visit www.johnplogsdon.com.
Everyone has had a trip with their annoying, but loyal, friend before, but I bet yours didn’t involve quite as much burning fur. Ok, maybe I’m wrong. I don’t know you. Anyway... That happens to Ian and it’s funny, entertaining, and realistically romantic. A very good series that people who don’t kick puppies read.
kindle unlimited, I give up at least for while, figuring out new ways to ponder the state of the writers' psychosis, just read the books and you'll see why, but hey 2 writers so twice the psychosis for the price of 1, plus your sanity.

London gets the Dex Treatment?! This fantastically funny urban fantasy series about Ian Dex and his team in the Las Vegas Paranormal Police Department started with The Merging, was even better in Grave Creatures, yet better again in Blood Bane Tower and has now gone across the Pond for this adventure in London (will he ever be allowed back?!). The humour is there from the start and the team are all the better for being fun, sarcastic and neither perfect nor pc. There is a great mixture of laugh out loud humour, action and storyline in this addictive series which kept me wanting to read more even though I knew I had to get up early for work in the morning?! I am enjoying seeing this great series developing and absolutely cannot wait to read more!
Watch out London, Ian aims to find Rachel. Loved this addition to the Ian Dex series. Rachel has transferred to the London PPD, and Ian has been dealing with it by trying to break in a new partner - until Rachel is kidnapped! Ian throws caution to the wind and takes off to London where both new partners, and the new Uber bad guy werewolf step on every last nerve he has. Loved the M&S series cameo too! If you like paranormal action adventure with a touch of mystery, read this book.
This story is a little goofier than previous book, and offers up mayhem and double-speak in equal measures. Cross-over character scenes also appear, and are done with a skill that doesn’t detract from any of the characters or the plot. The larger plot moves a few glacial inches, but the immediate plot resolution is nice. All in all a fun ride. Recommended.
Ian Dex, international playboy. Ian gets to travel to London to see the sights and rescue a girl. It was a lot of fun to see Ian saddled with a male partner who drives him a bit crazy. Add one James Bond wannabe and it makes for an entertaining book. Plus a special cameo appearance by... Spoilers...
A hilarious romp through London. Ian tries to track down Rachel while dealing with cosplay Bond, cosplay Holmes, and his feelings. A little more is revealed about the supernatural past as he gets a visit from the Ghost of Amalgamation Past. Fun series.
This is another great adventure from the Ian Dex series. This time around it’s in London and Ian and his werebear partner have fun with some werewolves. It’s packed with action and laughs and can’t wait for the next one.
I can't say enough about how good threes books are asked the crossover of Simon and Monty, brilliant,i read their side first and thst made me want to find this book. I hope that there will be another crossover story with these characters. Thank you!
LOVE this series. It's so comical and fun. Ian is a great character, as is EQK, my other favorite. He's sooooo freaking funny.
These books are great for a quick read and a good laugh. Will be sorry when the series ends, or if it's still being written, then when I have to wait for more.
This author team delivers again. This time it’s set in London and sees Ian Dex set out on a mission that’s very close to his heart. It’s fresh, funny and entertaining.
Ian Dex crosses the Pond to save a former team member. Needless to say there's some fast-paced action and a lot of humour along the way. A great addition to the series.
Another great instalment of Ian Dex's adventures. Read it in one day, as couldn't put it down. Love the way the writing just flows. Great humour as always too!.
Supernatural shenanigans in London for Ian and his werebear partner. I've got to say that Harvey adds a special blend of humour to this story. Nice one.
The Saga continues! You have to seriously ask yourself where this authors get the ideas for these books? They are unrepentantly irreverent, bock the norms and have you laughing and reading all the way.
This time “The Chief” is compelled to go across the pond when his ex-partner Rachel is kidnapped. Ian takes with him his new partner, who thinks he is Sherlock Holmes and gets to London were he is also partnered with Rachel’s new partner who thinks he is James Bond, yeah the laughs do roll. Meanwhile the villain de jour is an uber werewolf and as usual Ian has to figure out how to beat him and save Rachel. Gabe the mysterious helper had already given Ian a leg up and the resulting mayhem is action and glorious.
As with all the other books in the series, is a love it or leave it on the writing style and crassness of the main character, but if you made it this far into the series, you already love Ian and his motley crew. I am off to read the next one.
Another great episode read by the author, who really brings the characters to life! Werewolves in London, a werebear in a Sherlock Holmes outfit and a Sean Connery/James Bond wannabe, all helping Ian to save the girl! Best line was the American author having a character with a British accent say that there was nothing worse that an American narrator trying to give a character a British accent! You ROCK Mr Logsdon!
This book by far exceeded book 3 . the plot has everything. Action ,humor a above all great writing. I'm happy the author gave mention the Simon strong and Montague. Which btw. Has been the series I been reading before I came across this series of Las Vegas Paranormal. This book won't disappoint. But kind of short. Looking forward to book #5
Ian Dex is an amalgamite but he is unique and has many gifts he I can use to help him with keeping the peace as a PPD in Las Vegas. He saved Rachael from the werewolves because he fought Rex and beat him in a fight to the death. Rachael joined his crew of the PPD in Las Vegas. Also Rachael is his girl now.
Ian Dex finds himself in London facing his most challenging nemesis so far, The humour never stops though and having sidekicks of a wannabe Sean Connery as 007 and a wannabe Sherlock Holmes makes for an interesting annoyance to Dex.
Ian travels to London because Rachel is Kidnapped and of course it leads to him having to take on another uber natural. Great storyline keeps it moving quickly with no slowdown. I am a fan of the snark and loved the Montague and Strong cameos
