Don't tempt Cupid unless you want to feel his arrow. That's a lesson Dominic Ballard and Casper Marello are about to learn. Will the two men fall to Cupid’s arrow or will they miss their chance to discover a love that can last for always?
Really, seriously, without a doubt I LOVED this book. Dominic and Casper (gotta love that name) might have well been fated mates (they are not that's a whole other trope) since Casper has known he was in love with Dominic practically since they met and Dominic hasbeen too, he has just been too dense to realize it. The author lets us see this more than enough so that the scene in the hospital room is more "aboout time" rather than "where the hell did that come from. Most of the secondary characters are more seen then heard from, though Roxie does get the most to say and is the best developed of the lot. This works just fine since this book is hyperfocused on Casper and Dom. The author made me laugh numerous times and yes cry a few times too. Even though it was not a huge part of the story I really liked the bit of Cupid's magic thrown in as well. This was such a pleasure to read I am sure I will be revisiting it again in the future!
This was an enjoyable, sweet little story centered around Cupid and Valentine's Day. Instead of brother's best friend this was sister's best friend, which was a fun take on the trope. Dom and Casper were such opposites but they just fit together. Really cute.
Very nice! I really enjoyed this sweet, low-angst romance. Casper and Dominic are very likable in their own ways but I particularly liked the changes in Dominic as he begins to realize his true feeling for Casper. I didn’t particularly like Dominic’s little sister/Casper’s BFF, Roxie. I thought she was rather obnoxious and totally clueless to how her words and actions were making others feel. I also didn’t care too much for the epilogue. It was like 95% sex scene and 5% filling us in on the time jump. It would have been nice to see how they were really doing as a couple - outside the bedroom.
This book was sooo good for a free short story. Normally when I read free shorts, I find myself giving them lower rating because the topic is usually to big for the page length. Now I am a greedy bitch so I did wish it was longer but that was because these two were so cute together. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Ashe Winters.
This was a cute freebie about finding the courage to claim the love of your life who has been there all along. Dom just need a little push from Cupid.
I deducted points due to Dom’s sister Roxie. I like confident sassy women, however, Roxie is just obnoxious. She is too intrusive in Dom and Casper’s sex life.
This was another great book by Ashe Winters. Friends to lovers are some of my favorite books and this one didn't disappoint. It drew me in from the very first page and I couldn't put it down. I absolutely loved Dom and Cas and I didn't want their story to end. Loved it!
This was so sweet. I loved both Casper and Dominic as well as their family. I loved how “Cupid” made them face their feelings. It is a short read but left me very happy!
