3.5 stars. Pretty good collection. The best books were the snow one and the hell gate trilogy. The worst was the animal one. I don't feel like I could connect to the characters in general very well. I don't think I jive with the author's writing style. I'd still recommend this because the value is really high for all the books you get and there's some bonus content that actually adds to the story pretty well. I also enjoyed how most of the stories are in the same universe so there's easter eggs hidden throughout.

All in all, this was a pretty good collection. I liked the Hell on Earth series, and will probably get the rest of the books in that series. The Ravaged books were not my favorite, except the first one, Sea Sick. I didn't finish the 2nd book, and skipped the 3rd. I didn't even attempt Animal Kingdom because I like my horror animal free. I really enjoyed Final Winter, probably my favorite book. Tar and 2389 both get 2 thumbs up as well. I recommend this collection to anyone who enjoys apocalypse books. Note: my edition actually had 11 books, instead of 10.

Brilliant

I totally enjoyed every one of these stories. Even the ones I wouldn't normally read. This author is so skilled at drawing you into the story that he is definitely now among my favourites.

One star down for the sloppy proof reading.

Good value but flawed

A bit of a strange box set because I was expecting 10 individual stories but actually there are several different sets, some of which are incomplete meaning you have to buy another book if you want to keep reading.
Many of them sort of interconnect too whereby they feature some of the same characters but in different scenarios which is very confusing and there doesn't seem to be any sense of order in this boxset either.
They are also chock full of many many typos and grammatical errors which makes for a very annoying read.
All things considered it definitely put me off reading any more of this author's books.

Great reads!

The gate trilogy isn’t complete here so you’ll need to download that last book or the trilogy itself. I find my favorite story in this grouping Tar. There was just something about it that was more dreadful than the others. Guess it could be the hopelessness it had in it.

As an apocalyptic saga I give it 4 out of 5 stars

As a story covering several characters with books crossing over each it was an ok plot. The gore and violence was somewhat overdone. The space story was typical living dead without any new ideas. The thought that any space ship going without weapons or crew without weapons training is ridiculous.

Loved them ALL

Loved all of the apocalypse series. I didn't want them to end. I need more. What a great read. I loved all the different ways in each of the books that brought the end of the world.

Gripping

Lots of books many of which follow on from the others. The connections between them are really well thought out. Only bad point is the grammar and spelling mistakes in places. Really enjoyed and will read more by this author.

Bloody brilliant!

Great writer! It's very rare that I post reviews but I suddenly find that I am hunting down the other books that aren't in this collection as I need more!

Some were great

Some stories were really good and well written. Others were choppy and just a poorly written hodgepodge. I will read more by this author but I will be very picky.

Very good

Lots of typos otherwise I would have given 5*. The characters are written very well, but not the angels. This is fiction though.

Some really good books in this collection and a couple of dud. The animal one, to me, was not good.

great series

Series was good. Did not end predictably! A different end of the World Series. I would recommend these books for anyone who likes Apocalyptic stories.

A prolific writer of mostly apocalyptic prose, Iain offers up a smorgasbord of fiction from a dark and disturbed mind. Apparently he's a really nice guy though. Excellent stuff for lovers of the genre, just don't expect happy ever afters.....
