Old Nightmares and New Threats…Sarah Stone is finished. The last year of her life has seen her face madmen and terrorists that will haunt her forever. This case will be her last.

The Flower Man is London’s worst ever serial killer, putting even Jack the Ripper to shame. Sarah can’t quit until she catches the monster and ensures no more innocent people are killed. A local tip off might just be the break she needs to find her man and get the job done for good. But Sarah doesn’t know that an even bigger monster from her past has just awoken, and that the City of London is about to be devastated by the worst attack in its long and prestigious history. It’s already too late. If Sarah doesn’t end the killing now, it will end her. She has one chance to get her life back, but time is running out. This is her end play.

Iain Rob Wright completes the first trilogy of Sarah Stone books with the biggest threat yet, bringing death and mayhem from all sides. By the time things are through, the United Kingdom will never be the same again. If you love Jack Reacher and John Milton, you'll love meeting Sarah Stone.

I love Iain Rob Wright. I love his style of writing for both his horror and thriller output. Non stop action. Never a dull moment. Good descriptive prose. Hard hitting. And always the unexpected twists. Always. Originally written as a trilogy I am glad the author has recently published a new Sarah Stone novel. I love Iain Rob Wright.

Reading Stuff 'n' Things

I know it's a bit strange, but I haven't actually read the first two books in this series however, this didn't detract from my enjoyment of this story. Although I recognise I have missed quite a lot of the back story to Sarah's character, Iain has provided just enough information so you don't feel lost.

What we have hear is a fast-paced story where the hunt for a serial killer intertwines with the hunt for a terrorist from Sarah's past; both are hell-bent on bringing the Nation to it's knees in fear.

Sarah is a strong cookie but even she is questioning her ability to keep going. It is clear she has been through a lot and is damaged by her experiences but she has little choice but to hunt those responsible for the atrocities that are occurring with her colleagues in the Major Crimes Unit.

Full of action, this is a book that is hard to stop reading from the first to the last word. There are surprises and twists along the way and, I have to say, a very satisfying ending.

Thank you to Iain for providing me with a copy in return for an honest, unbiased and unedited review.

The stakes couldn’t be higher for Sarah Stone and the MCU, as they always are. For Sarah personally things are bad, very bad. She’s feeling burnt out and just wants her daily life to not be life threatening and full of evil men plotting evil deeds. I’d hate to give away the story so I’ll say no more but this is a great addition to this fun action filled series. Iain Rob Wright always gives his readers fun, addictive reading and End Play is just that. With news that a fourth book is on the way this may be the best time to get into this series. One thing to note is that if you haven’t read the previous books you’ll be fine starting here as this story doesn’t rely on the others. That said, if you haven’t read the other books then you’re missing out on some great reading. Overall, another great action book from an author that seems able to turn his writing hand to anything.

Wow. Lots of twists and turns in this book. Sarah Stone and the MCU have their hands full between a serial killer named The Flower Man and a terrorist determined to bring the UK to its knees. The Prime Minister is one of their harshest critic and is going to make some major changes to the unit. There is a lot of action from beginning to end and a few shocking reveals.

AWESOME

I have not read the previous books in this series but I certainly will now. I loved this book start to finish and could not put it down. It just builds and builds until you are on the edge. Please write another so I know about Thomas and Sarah.

Super action

Very good story line. I did not expect the turn of events at he end. Glad you left the door open for another. Next book may break mothers heart in Florida. Maybe sarah to have scar removed from face. Sarah has good instincts. Keep her going.

Book three In the Sarah Stone series and as usual it’s a little cracker. The things that she goes through are nobody’s business. This author can’t half write a good thriller that’s for sure. Roll on book four, I cannot wait.
Highly recommended.

Entertaining. There is the main story, and in true Wright fashion is over the top and everyone is a traitor. And there is the secondary story that is down right horrific and is in the vein of Wright/Konrath. Not a deep read or a revelation just eye candy.

For such a highly trained military officer Sarah certainly lacked any sense of situational awareness.

Love this series.

I am a huge fan of this author. Although there were times I wanted to shake some sense into Sarah, I still felt she always tried her best.

Even more daft nonsense as this series tries to up its ridiculous plots with even more ridiculous plots.
Despite the title, this is not the end of the series.

Full disclosure – I was provided a copy of this book by the Author as part of his Advanced Reader’s group.

London Falling

End Play is the third and final novel in the Major Crimes Unit trilogy of books by Iain Rob Wright. Still reeling from the events of Hot Zone – the kidnapping at the hands of her father and the sudden reappearance of her deceased husband – Sarah Stone finds herself in pursuit of the most prolific serial killer London has seen since Jack the Ripper. The Flower Man, as he is called, takes his victims and turns them into living gardens, and Sarah will stop at nothing to bring him down. When a terrorist attack on a major London landmark interrupts her pursuit, Sarah comes face to face with her own personal “Boogeyman”. With more prominent London landmarks in the crosshairs, Sarah must choose what is more important – saving a life or saving her country.

Iain Rob Wright proves once again that he can write just about anything. While the MCU and Sarah Stone are departures from many of his other novels, this does not mean that they are in any way inferior. Stone is a strong female protagonist that faces the scars and demons of her past with a strength that most people only wished they had. The pace of this book can only be described as “breakneck”. From the first chapter to the last word, Wright conveys an urgency that is palpable as a country is thrown into chaos with no end in sight. I understand that this is to be the finale of the Sara Stone novels but with all good crime stories, Wright leaves us with the knowledge that all is never well. The ending is brilliant, and a perfect tidbit to leave the reader with a cold tingle down their spine and hope for a revisit in the future.

Just finished reading ‘End PLay (Major Crimes Unit Book 3) by Iain Rob Wright. I was lucky enough to be able to read this action packed thriller before it release date (December 22, 2016 is the date planned for its release). This is the third book in this fast moving action thriller and the MCU is back at it. The streets and the landscape of London will never be the same after this assignment goes off the tracks. On the trail of a serial killer, and a terrorist thought to have died, and hell bent on bringing the British Government to its knees...Sarah Stone, scar-faced MCU Agent, will do her damndest to make sure things are put straight, but will she be able to accomplish these tasks without harm coming to her fellow agents, the populace of London and Government Officials? And what will be the fate of the future of the MCU? Read this action packed thriller and find out…it’s a page turner from start to finish and Iain Rob Wright has done it again….

Synopsis: Sarah Stone is finished.

The last year has seen her face madmen and terrorists who will haunt her forever. This case will be her last. She can take no more.

The Flower Man is London’s worst ever serial killer, putting even Jack the Ripper to shame. Sarah can’t quit until she catches him. A local tip off might just be the break she needs...

But Sarah doesn’t know that even bigger monsters, ripped straight from her past, are coming. Events are in motion that will devastate the city of London, and the entire United Kingdom. The End Play has already begun.

Sarah has one chance. Her last chance.

So the conclusion to this trilogy was a blast! The final twist is unexpected but not entirely sure how I feel about it! (But that’s probably a good thing) the action scenes are described great and always paint vivid scenes in my head whilst reading! Was a little slower in places! I have to say that “hot zone” is by far the best book in the series, and one of my favourite books in a long time! But this sequel managed to keep up the pace enough! I’m hopeful for a fourth but would be okay to leave the story there too! Now onto some more Iain Wright books 🤗

Full disclosure I was given an advance copy of the book. This is the third installment of Major Crimes Unit. This book is full of action with more terrorist plots and even a serial killer on the loose. I could not stop reading as I needed to know what happen. This is a great book and if you liked the other books in this series then you need to read this book!

Sarah seriously has her hands full and is still healing

from her last case. This time our heroine is facing a current serial killer along with facing a nightmare from her past.
The story is fast paced and incredibly descriptive. Iain keeps knocking it out of the park.

5 stars. Thank you again, Mr. Wright.

End of the story...

In this three book series, you feel all emotions. You get to know each character. In this book that ends the series, you get to know Sarah's husband, and demeanor better. And introduced to a sick serial killer. This will have you reeling, and you won't be able to put it down.

Wow

Normally this isn't my kind of book, but this was excellent. Lots of action and suspense. I really liked the main character, Sarah. She didn't have any super powers, she is just a regular person doing what she feels is right.

Yet another masterpiece

When an author can master more than one genre of storytelling you know you are onto a good thing. Possibly the best writer in the UK right now!
