the narration was horrible in the 3rd installment.

The first 2 books were outstanding.... British accents doing British characters and a decent American accent where needed...... All that was thrown out of the window in book 3.... American narrator doing the British characters while using English lingo and phrases.... It drove me nuts......

It has it's moments, but the ending..ugh

Switching narrators for this book was a mistake. The series started off well, but ended without resolution.

Great story, terrible narration

I really enjoy this series of books and very much enjoyed the first two narrations done by Nigel Patterson. I really struggled with this narrator as he is either doing a monotone overview or screaming really loud. He also has issues pronouncing words correctly which is very distracting. As for the audio quality, you can hear rustling papers and the Basra for clearing his throat frequently. The editing is also subpar as the narrator will repeat lines or there will a long pause in the middle. It is a shame that this great book is ruined by such a terrible narration.

I still love the story but this narrator sucks. I

I don't know what happened to the narrator of the first two books but this guy should never have been allowed to narrate the story. He can't even pronounce simple words properly. without a doubt he single handedly ruined this book. I couldn't even finish it. He didn't even try to use accents for the characters. calling this narrator amateurish is an insult to amateurs

For the love of humanity;

My 4th book from this author and it just keeps getting better.love the apocalyptic story line and the pull from the characters.

Great Story Bad Narrator

The story was awesome but the narration ruined the book! With a bad English accent and mispronounced words took a lot away from the overall book!

Great story! Crappy narrator...

I absolutely loved the story. From the very first book through the end... I loved the story. The first two books also had an awesome narrator. He was lively and engaging and used the correct accents for each of the characters. I FLEW through the first two books as i couldn’t turn it off. The third book, however, i couldn’t even continue to listen through audible because the narrator was so terrible. Not only is his range lacking, but you could hear him FLIPPING PAGES!! He also was incredibly inconsistent with volume control, and HIS SCREAMING VOICE WAS MORE ANNOYING THAN NAILS ON A CHALKBOARD. He yelled. A lot.
Anyway, I’m happy I owned the book too because I was able to finish the book without the awful narration.
