The dead return for vengeance....

Benton Bertrand is no ordinary teenager. He is a banshee - cursed with the ability to sense death and see through the eyes of killers. Benton’s powerful scream can destroy supernatural evil. And it’s about to be put to the test....

Recovering from their last ordeal, Benton and his friend Nicole are horrified to discover a young girl plagued by malevolent spirits. Piece by piece, the helpless child’s body is harvested by an unseen presence. Using his paranormal abilities, Benton zeroes in on the vicious fiends stalking her: a ghostly pair of serial killers, led by a man whose blood is on Nicole’s hands.

As the reluctant teens struggle to banish these murderous spirits, Nicole must confront her lack of remorse for the life she has taken. She killed in self-defense, she had no choice. Or so she tells herself.

But her victims feel otherwise. Death has transformed these two hungry souls into something far more dangerous. Now, these undead killers stalk the night, eager to make Nicole pay. And their reign of terror has only just begun....

Scariest one yet!

I found this book to be the scariest on yet!! I devoured it in a day because I needed to see what would happen.

The plot was very fast paced, exciting and creepy. Benton and Nicole are dealing with an entity that harvests bits of people. A girl they know from school is the victim and Benton and Nicole are in a race to save her life because the entity isn't finished with her. But this entity is known to Benton and Nicole, and any blood spilled by it is on Nicoles hands. I love that we get to see a lot more of Nicole in this one. She is such an awesome character!!

Each book in this series just seems to get better. Benton and Nicole never seem to get a moments peace and here they are dealing with something that's pure evil, but it's something that wouldn't even be, if not for something they did. There is also the added bonus of a Reaper in this edition!! I'm intrigued about it and hope there will be more in the next book.

In all, this was an awesome read. I love Benton and love this series. Bring on the next installment!!

Jake Urry is a fantastic narrator with a very distinctive voice. He always manages to bring across the creepy atmosphere perfectly and has plenty of tones and voices to bring the story alive.

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

No mystery or mythology left unturned

These books go so far into mythology and adds so many twist and turns; I find that I torn between wanting to know how this turns out and being sad that I’m almost to the end!
