Supernatural horror with scary ghosts and haunted houses!

Brian Roy’s heart can’t handle another ghost - his wife would kill him long before his bad heart does! Yet, he can’t leave his cousin Mitchell hanging. Mitch is principal of the Academy. After a cataclysmic senior class prank, the school is in shambles, and dark secrets in the cellar escape. Bodies are piling up, and Brian has no choice but to step in and hopefully save Mitchell and his school.

Old Nathaniel Weiss, a cunning conversationalist, was the founder of the Academy. Greg Weston, a powerful pugilist, was a graduate long ago. The two sinister spirits wreak havoc as Mitch and Brian race against time to stop them from smooth-talking everyone into doing their deadly deeds or beating them to death! It’s war, and Brian needs to prepare for a deadly battle.

As the undead rise again, Brian faces a specter more deadly than any he could ever imagine. He realizes he’ll have to face his own personal demons...and only time will tell if he’ll be the victim or the victor.

The End!!

This is the final book in one of my favourite series, and while it wasn't as creepy as some of the other books, it was still a great end to an amazing series.

In this one Brian is called by his cousin due to some weird activity in his Academy. Jenny really doesn't want him to go but Brian and his cousin have a history and Brian can't let him down. But this case is harder than they know and Brian is taxed right till the end. This could end up killing him!!

The plot of this is more a mystery for Brian as he has to figure out who the ghost is and what he wants. But it's not just one ghost!! Right from the start you are grabbed and brought into the story and it doesn't stop till the very end. there were certain times where my heart was in my mouth and it broke for a certain character too. I don't want to say too much because it will spoil it so all I'll say is it was well written and the plot developed at a steady pace. I had to keep reading to see what would happen because there didn't seem to be a minute where nothing was happening!!

I grew to love these characters. Brian, Jenny, Shane (whom I already loved) and Leo. Leo being my favourite!!! Each of them develops throughout the series and each one was brilliantly written. I highly recommend you give this series a go!!

In all, a fitting end to the series. It's time for Brian and Jenny to rest (though I do hope we see them again at some stage).

Thom Bowers read this extremely well. He captured each character perfectly and breathed life into the story. He has an amazing array of tones and voices and gave each character their own personality.

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

Excellent story

I read the Moving In Series books 1 - 6 and Ron Ripley really knows how to take you down a path with a lot of unexpected twists. Thom Bowers adds even more life to the characters in the audio versions. Well done all around!.

The Academy by Rob Ripley and narrated by Thom Bowers

This is the last book in the Moving In Series and once again has not been a disappointment. Good ghosts and bad ghosts, men falling out of windows, and a poor worried wife that I somehow connected with, and more excitement on every page kept me listening to the very end. I highly recommend this series.

Sad to have it end

This is book 6 in the Moving In series. You have a senior class prank which causes a lot of damage to the school, physical plant, and the other buildings at the academy. Sadly it is a historic school in Connecticut and it releases the ghost of the founder a self centered man. You have Brian Roy with his bad heart who against his wifes will continues to work with ghosts as his cousin asked for help. He keeps breaking his promise to Jenny and ghost hunts. You have an action packed storyline with believable characters and the ghosts are scarier. You have more violence in this book. You have physically dangerous adventures for Brian. This is the last book in the series and the way it is written Ron Ripley could have continued to add more. As usual Thom Bowers did an amazing job giving you the willys. The ending will surprise you. I highly recommend this book and series. Enjoy!
