Publisher's summary

Brian Roy is the brainchild behind the Leonidas Group, a ghostbusting organization with a track record of incomparable success for tracking down and annihilating ghosts. This time, however, Brian may have met his match with his latest job investigating Middlebury Sanitarium!

Occupied by a host of undead, Middlebury Sanitarium has a history of drugging its residents to prevent them from entering the grounds at night and becoming a part of the “lost brigade” never to be heard from again. From a vengeful king who ruthlessly protects his royal domain, to Clyde, a faceless soldier who's still fighting WWI - Brian’s got his hands full! And then there’s the boneyard...

Now, Brian teams up with an old vet caretaker, Ken Buckingham, to de-ghost the place. But the shrewd, kindly old man has a few secrets up his own sleeve that even Brian could never have anticipated.

Better and better!!

Having loved both book 1 & 2, I couldn't wait to dive into this and see what else could possibly happen Brian and the Leonidas Group. Well this edition sees Brian being called to investigate Middlebury Sanitarium, and you just know, even before reading the book, that with Sanitarium in the name, there will be ghosts!! Brian definitely has his hands over full with this one!

One thing I've found with this series is that the settings seem to be getting creepier and creepier. I have always thought that, for a ghost story anyway, an abandoned mansion, or hospital or Sanitarium are always a good place to set it. They just give of an incredibly scary vibe! Middlebury Sanitarium was such a scary place, and the authors descriptive writing just gave me chills thinking of it. You could just imagine the pain and suffering that took place there!! Definitely not a book to read in the dark ;) Saying that, I may love scary stories but I'm a wimp and only read them during the day!!!

Again, the author creates unique and interesting characters. I loved the introduction of Ken!! His back story was awesome and his character really shined. Then we have the dead! All of them were as freaky as hell and scary as ever!! The King!!!! I got goose bumps while reading about him. But as I've come to expect with this author. Some of the awesome characters die. Damn you Ron Ripley!!!! ;) Though with so many ghosts wafting around the place, maybe they might make a return!!! Lol.

Anyway, this book, and indeed the series, was amazing. They may be relatively short books, but there is so much happening that they don't feel short. They are chock full of suspense, thrills, chills and will grab you from the first page. I so want these to be a mini series on TV!

Thom Bowers was once again amazing. I love his performance of these characters and look forward to listening to the rest.

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

Middlebury Sanitarium

Another excellent book by Rob Ripley and narrated brilliantly by Thom Bowers. This is the third book in the Moving In series. I loved it. Lots of ghosts and "oh no what's happening next" moments. I highly recommend it.

Creepy Killer Ghosts

This is the third in the Moving In series. Some of the characters continue with believable and interesting ghosts and likeable characters. This has a well developed storyline. You have Florence and King to show up and make it creepy. Just when you think death is the end this book shows you that it is not. You have horror, scary terror with suspense. Ron Ripley keeps the flow of the story going. Thom Bowers is the narrator and he knows how to bring you into the book.

Excellent story!

I read the Moving In Series books 1 - 5 and Ron Ripley really knows how to take you down a path with a lot of unexpected twists. Thom Bowers adds even more life to the characters in the audio versions. Well done all around!.
