Run little squirrel...

Zeus...
She can't hide from me. I caught her fair and square...
Now Lucy is mine!
I want to mark her all over, so every time she looks at herself she'll think of me. Her every breath, every cry, her every moan of ecstasy belongs to me. By the time I am done with her, she will no longer be able to deny me! I want her every thought, to fulfil her every need.
I want all of her, and I don't plan on letting her go...
Not until I have taken her body and soul.
Not until I own her thoughts, know her feelings, can intuit her every move!

I intend to give her so much pleasure... so much pain, that it will wipe out everything that came before!

She is mine to take, to ruin, to do with as I want!

So what stops me from having my way with this wisp of an omega who dares challenge me?
Precisely nothing!

Honestly, the book cover is horrendous. But I enjoyed the story very much. The theme is alpha control over his omega that runs away, blah, blah, blah; the plot doesn't get boring because we enjoy it that much. The alpha is a general and he acts like one to his lover. I believe the setting is in a post apocalypse, fantastical, dystopian society that reversed to a medieval era. The story is mostly about her alpha and the omega that tries to save her people by challenging him.

DNF. I struggled thru the 1st one. Pages on pages of repetitive descriptions for knotting sexy good times. Which is just too much and not sexy after a while. This one is just pages on pages of growling bad "conversations" of them feeling conflicted but wanting to bang, but knowing they shouldn't bang but.... you get the picture. Its not good.

This is Omegaverse, if you don’t know what it is, please take the time to look it up before you judge this book. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s DEFINITELY Mine.
*Grins*

Though... I wouldn’t consider this your average Omegaverse type, the universe in this book..seems more humanized(?)
Besides Slick, Knotting, Marking/Bonding, Personally only at the end are you actually seeing the ‘True’ Behavior of Omegaverse, it’s just not really there ‘wholeheartedly’ throughout though.

Received this ARC for Honest Review
I Give This Book a 3.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 3.

Cliffhanger(?): Yes, and looks like Book 3, is going to get really good.
Romance: 2.5/5
Heat: 3 or 3.5ish/5
Drama: 3.5/5
Suspense: 3/5
Dark(?): No.

I don’t get when Lucy said that she’s tired of having to be so defensive with him, she’s has yet at that point to be ‘tired’.
She’s very..bratty & chatty? And she Tops from the Bottom constantly, a few times is normal, but with doing it continuously, usually that doesn’t slide where an Alpha is concerned, since she IS an Omega.
That’s a big No-No.
Usually an alpha would reprimand her at some point, but Zeus doesn’t appear to be that dominant, and matter of fact he lets her get away with way to much dictation. It only seems to kick much much much later near the end of the book.
Lucy’s personality resembles more Alpha & Beta, not Omega.
Even though she is Omega, I found it odd that she started responding like an Omega and talked like one in some sections and then fully acted like one in the end, when she previously didn’t. The changes feels like a double sided coin continuously being flipped, so you really don’t know what your going to get out of her.
The “My Alpha” really just felt overdramatic, it just felt weird for her to magically be submissive.

Zeus’s personality & behavior at some points resembles more of a Beta than an Alpha.
The book does seem to drag on at some points, very much like fillers(?).
Because I keep expecting a change time wise only to realize we’re still in the scene...again.
The relationship and romance(?) feel between them doesn’t seem very believable in the beginning, it seems a tad forced cause to me from Prequel to Book 1 to Book 2, nothing has TRULY developed at all, so the ‘suddenness’ for me still seems not overly believable for these two at least, but much later in the book it’s actually flowed a little better and made much more sense.

The relationship between Kayden & Zeus, seems a little confusingly odd at some points, it also sounds like they’ve known each other for years, but that’s not true at all. Zeus just met his brother no long ago, technically.

Mating Bond Discrepancy
-sections taken from both books-
Book 1:
“It means”—he pauses for effect and turns to Sol—”he is aware of her through the bond. He can track her through the connection. It also means if one of them dies—” I set my jaw. “The other dies, too.”
Book 2:
Mating bonds between an alpha and omega cannot be broken, not unless…one of them is dead. And he’s alive, he has to be.

2 different outcomes, that means 2 different pathways of life via severed bond. Which one is it?

I definitely want to read Book 3, it seems like it’s going to take a turn for the better.
Do I recommend? It’s a decent read, so yes.
Will I Read more from this Author? Yes.

The adventure continues..

So how the previous book ended, I immediately grabbed this one. I breathed a sigh of relief that he had saved her..

He'd brought her to his island retreat. They finally shared some truths. He was letting her in...

“Just as I'd began to get a sense of how it could be b/w us, everything is torn away from me. This isn't fair.”

Then, boom! Hell broke loose. Kayden came there, with a blast.. & kidnapped her.. severing him. But his heart hurts the most.

“She's already my weakness. Can I live with that?”
She broke his trust. He can't ever let her in, but he can't live without her.

When he goes to save her, many truths are revealed. Kayden was doing it all due the Vikings. The same bastards for whom lucy had to leave her home.
What a Fight!..

“I want to keep her here, Pleasured & senseless, drugged with me, at my mercy. It's to keep her safe, to shield her from what I have to do over the next few weeks. I need to fight the Vikings & not worry about her while I take on this new threat.”

The next book is gonna be fun!

“I thought she was responsive to me but nothing had prepared me for the fact that my body is as tuned to her as it is.”

Will he able to trust her? Will they get their HEA?

P.s. Grabbing the next book to read the finale!

4 star Review Claimed By The Alpha (Knotted Omega #2) by Laxmi Hariharan & Scarlett Brooke

Audio Review:

Both Laxmi Hariharan and Scarlett Brooke are relatively new authors to me. Dystopian paranormal romance is not a genre I typical read or listen to. This was a hot and steamy book, Zeus and Lucy’s story had me invested from the first to the last chapter.

The narration from Tor Thom and Charley Ongel certainly brought the story to life for me, the chemistry between them is obvious and they certainly did the story justice.

Looking forward to the conclusion to this series.

The h is MENTAL. Every other thought is the opposite of the one before. "I knew I belonged to him and wanted to spend eternity with him..." "...I don't want this and he's forcing it on me he doesn't own me" she's the epitome of bi-polar. She betrays him repeatedly and then still begs him to be with her, and then when he does she throws a fit saying she doesn't want him. Seriously the whole book is just her contradicting herself and saying the same things over and over. I wish I hadn't bought the box set, I struggled to force myself through this one (I sped it up a LOT on Audio while doing other things just to finish). Absolutely whiney, dramatic, moody, annoying manipulative woman. And the H is a complete sucker.

Super hot

Wow!! This story has more turns and ups and downs than a freaking roller coaster!! I am just baffled how Lily can take the crazy back and forth of Zeus but she is finally coming into her acceptance as well of her part in the mating bond as well...interested to see where this will lead.

Superbly done. This story has me so engrossed that I am not stopping for anything. It is filthy, it is suspenseful, it has secrets, and it is incredibly well written.

I'm enjoying seeing Zeus open up. Even as Alpha as he is there is something about seeing his playful side come out. There is more to come from this story and I'm eager to discover it.

Couldn’t put this one down.

Zeus and Lucy continue their struggle for dominance. He is so indifferent and she truly doesn’t know what to do. Excellent writing.

I get it if it would be just a smut book, no story. I love smut books. But no, to get to the smut there is a freaking inner monologues long as the way to the moon.

Loved it but...

I was struggling with this book considering how much I'm loving the series so far. I'm to the point where I am rolling my eyes at the inconsistencies throughout this whole thing. Spoilers ahead if you havent read it yet...
First, SHE BIT HIM FIRST! Why are we constantly going back and forth about how he claimed her without her permission if she bit him first?? I mean that is just stupid imo. Second, why does Lucy continue to run away from him then gets mad he is ignoring her or "punishing" her? There was absolutely no reason to run that second time. At what point did she really think kayden was going to set her omega sisters free?? Zeus is and always will be her best option. Now he is angry with her and instead of letting her go free, he has chained her to him quite literally. Third.... he was SHOT almost died now.... but it was not even mentioned or even alluded to durning his fights with his brother and the viking. No matter how much pain meds he had... it should have at least been mentioned! Last! She has been beat up, bruised and hurt so many times during these last two weeks. If she WAS pregnant, that baby would have been lost by now. I'm sorry but she literally threw herself against that boat, almost drowned multiple times, been thrown this way or that... and to top it off she says she will get rid of it if she is??? I lost all respect for this female at this point. She better hope Zeus comes back in one piece!
But besides that... I still had to give it 4 stars because the sexy parts were awesome! The book kept me on my toes and had me having heart palpitations for multiple reason. Maybe a solid 3.8 stars.

Zeus And Lucy's Over The Top Story Is Daringly Steamy And Super Dramatic!

This is book two of the Knotted Omega series. It picks up where book one leaves off. While possible to read it as a stand-alone, it is confusing without having read the first book in the series beforehand. This story ends at a good transition point, but the couple has yet to earn their HEA.

This is the story of Zeus and Lucy, an alpha and his omega. Their story takes place in a world that has been destroyed by tsunamis and global warming. Zeus is a General and lives in London. Lucy is from Russia, having left it behind when it was invaded. Zeus has a half-brother named Kayden who has plotted to overthrow him, and toward that effort Kayden has used Lucy to distract and lure Zeus into a trap. One week later, Zeus has fallen hard for Lucy, surprising himself. He has a mating bond with her. But Lucy is fiercely independent and struggles against the attraction as well as guilt for her role in Kayden's plot. Zeus and Lucy dance around the truth of their feelings, but before they come to terms with it, more threats challenge them.

Zeus and Lucy's over the top story is daringly steamy and super dramatic. It has danger and elements of suspense. It is nicely written. The plot is fairly straightforward but there are some surprises. The characters are decently defined. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Zeus and Lucy. I rate this book four stars.

ONE HEART POUNDING EXPERIENCE!!!
Ah hell! Laxmi doesn't miss a beat delivering this incredible approach for this enthralling storyline and engaging plot, welding this gem together sleek, shiny and tight. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck, kicking this bad boy into a raging tempest, blasting it into a tailspin with a life-altering finale. Twixt, twined and interwoven, exposing the explosive ups and agonizing downs, grounding in it's strength and awe inspiring in it's depth. Rousting the drama, intrigue, turmoil, mounting suspense and precarious situations along with a boatload of trouble, you have one chart topping masterpiece. Exhilaration rocks this jewel, bringing it home with such intensity and precision, riding roughshod and delivering one block busting delight. The attraction and chemistry sizzle, flowing through the pages, alluring and mesmerizing, binding them to one another beautifully. The dynamics and countenance in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so deep until everything else ceases to exist. The realism and authenticity of the characters as their on point personalities blend and connect along with the graphically detailed scenes, paint an epic backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Fantastic job Laxmi, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

Audio book review

Book 2 in the series. This continues where book 1 left off . The authors wrote a great story full of levels , the heroine can’t make up her mind . She’s undecided if the hero really has feelings for her .

Hero is Zeus . Heroine is Lucy .
This story is about an Alpha and an Omega
Zeus is the Alpha and Lucy is the Omega. But Lucy is a strong Omega This story has pain, doubt and Zeus is going against what he should do. As an alpha he needs to act a certain way , but his heart is telling him to be another way . The goddess wants them to be together but will they mate like they are suppose to

Tor Thom and Charley Ongel were fantastic. They are a great team , their tone for the characters were and are great. For this one and the first one

Left wanting more....

This is the third book in the Alpha series by Laxmie Hariharan and she has delivered another heart pounding, action packed love drama within a dystopian London. Zeus and Lucy are having quite the tug of war with the mating bond that links them. Zeus is pulled between his confusing feelings for Lucy, the fight for power with his brother and an impending war with the berserkers. Lucy is trying to fight the barriers that Zues has put up after she has betrayed him one too many times. The story ends with Zues leaving Lucy behind while he deals with outside influences threatening London.

I might be a sucker for punishment otherwise I don't know why I keep on reading this. I admit, as I stated in the prior book, I was curious enough to come and look for a spoilery review that might told me what was in this book but with all the 5 stars ratings and praisings I really didn't find something that told me what happened here so what do you kno? I put myself through this whole book (not that it is too long but it felt like forever) and still didn't move too much ahead in the story and I find myself just fed up with the "writing style" and endless iner monologues to keep feeding my OCD and finish this serie.
Would I recommend to read it? by this point, hell to the no.

ZERO stars. Why do always feel the need to keep going and not dnf. This book is trash, if you skip through all the monotonous inner monolog then you are looking at 20 pages of storyline. This couple us seriously bipolor, both if them, the way they keep flip flopping their emotions is insane. Why is this couples books spread out into 3 books. I dont think its enough of a story to even fill 1 book. Please just stop having sex, at this point its so boring. Its really just the same sex scene over and over. If you rated this 5 stars, we know you are lying.

It's nice to have a omega who is stubborn but string. So much omegaverse, even if the omega is a little mouthy they're not really strong. However, Lucy is a force into herself. She's so set in what she believes she's willing to throw herself off a cliff. How much more stubborn can you be. She's fighting every part of herself that wants to be omega. She's starting to come to the realization she wants to be one but won't accept it.

Well it’s getting better. I wish they allowed half stars on here because really it’s 3.5 stars. There’s still lots of down and dirty but there’s a action and more the just a plot as an after thought. The narrators are the same and I still giggle at the accents but it’s not horrible. The story line is vastly improved and I am honestly curious where this couple is going. Will be listening to boom three tomorrow.

Darker and deeper

So much steam! But there are deeper feelings there also. Just when it seems Zeus and Lucy are making progress, a huge betrayal threatens to undo everything. And an old enemy returns to raise the stakes even higher. Mind the cliffhanger.

So the entire book they arouse one another and confuse the heck out of me with their betrayal of one another. Even in dyer situations where their life is on the line, they still are thinking of sex. Unrealistic! I don’t buy it!

I tried to like this even after I struggled through the first book. But honestly I couldn't get a handle on what was actually going on between these two. Their feelings and thoughts towards each other do a complete 180 every chapter. It was just confusing as hell.
